I know black metal fans take pride in their genre just like death metal bands do, but when it comes down to it, its all pretty good. I would say that alot of mayhems music is death metal, old mans child is clearly more into death metal, bathroy, a bunch of emperors music, and many many others. I get that the bands from norway like to make a distinction from the tampa scene, but its all good heavy intense insane music for those of us who are not willing to accept the bullshit on the radio

pure greatness. better than the darkthrone version. dont get me wrong, darkthrone are great (even with their punk influences), but Emperor will always be the best, IMO.
