    My string is really loose

  • @foreverfaithfultogod Tighten it.

  • I'm really sad because one of my strings broke. Then you said to check for corrosion I did and all of my strings were, the sadest part is that I just got this guitar. Well I'm really sad now.

  • thanks =)

  • I tried using Justin Sandercoe method to restring and could not do it. easily. I had to put the guitar down for a week with a missing string I was so set back. After watching this video and using this method I restrung my guitar in record time and feel like I could work in a guitar shop doing this for a living. Great video, great method. THANK YOU

  • Thank you!! and complimets for your sound record!!!

  • thanks bud :) very helpful. never got how to do the twisty thing before this.. ><

  • i liked the part when he said "Let's do our G- String" :)))

  • Nicely done video. Very helpful. However not all acoustic guitars have the slot in the bridge to seat the string before the pin is reinserted. Check out QuickString (Google quickstring), which will replace the bridge pins better string transfer.

  • I have that shirt lol

  • Thank you....my little sister thought she could tune my brand new guitar for me.......yeah.....thank god it came with an extra string

  • @Cjaz84 That's funny! I take it she thought the note was way too flat!

  • @Cjaz84 THATS FUNNY:)

  • Is it necessary to have all the same tools you have to string? Not sure I can get a wire cutter like that anytime soon.

  • I have been changing guitar strings for many years and this is one of the best tutorials I have ever seen of how its done. Thanks for putting this out there.

  • By corrosion, do you mean...cheese?

  • I have American standard strat and Iv just put new strings on it but the tension of the strings is really high and its quite difficult to do bends etc. How do I fix this? Im using 10 gauge strings.

  • Art, great video lesson. How about more like it!

  • Thank you SO much for this. Ripper.

  • No problem! Thanks for watching!

  • the pegs on my guitar dont stay down what do i do??

  • Make sure the slot in your peg is facing forward. Put the ball of the string in the hole as deep as it will go before you put the peg in. If needed, get some violin bow rosin and put a good coat of it on the peg before you put it in the hole. Don't tug straight up on the string. It is designed for tension to be exerted only in the direction of the tuning pegs. Hope this helps.

  • Great video! You make it look easy. However, I'm still bringing my Martin to you to change strings, k?

    Linda

  • Hey man!!... i have a question... for all the strings its the same process?

  • Yes. Same process for all the strings. Just make sure the string is on the inside of the tuning peg. We did one string on each side of the head stock as examples. Thanks for watching!

  • That was very useful!

  • hey uncle art!

    its zach

    good lesson!!
