hey i cant seem to find out if they sold the lancer gsr awd in the states. the og lancer is a dope underground tuner i wanna get my hands on it. i might settle for a lancer oz rally tho. im to poor to buy a evo8 much less my favorite a evo 6. lol

If you want any Lancer before the Evo 8, go buy a Mirage and do a conversion. Only way you'll be able to.

You can just buy a 4G Mirage and a DSM GSR/TSi awd parts car, swap everything over and there you go. Lancer Evo III clone for as little as $2k. If you can get the Mirage and parts car for $1k a piece.

technically no, they didn't. The lancer didn't hit the states until the evo 7. However, the mitsubishi mirage is the same unibody, just with a weaker engine and fwd layout. Its fairly straighforward if you can find a donor that you can get through customs.

gsr 's are evo shape and size etc but are are only have a 1.8 engine in them. The evo has the 2.0 lire engine plus better handling and suspention gear etc. gsr's are awd same as evo's.

not true, if your gonna bag the shit outa it then yes you are going to be fixing it alot.

daily driver with a nice bit of torque and they are very reliable.

Exactly, if you're a kid who is just going to beat the thing into the ground and treat it like any other Honda...it'll need constant work. But, if you treat it well, and do the regular upkeep it'll be fine.

cant really drive them like the hondaz.. they dont like revs and boosting does make them stress but over all its very reliable.. 180,000 ks out of an engine easy. A stock Libero boosts 12pounds wich is very generious.. Cant go wrong with mitsi turbos

Their a 1.8 turbo 220 bhp full time 4wd, mainly sold in japan. Almost evo performance, wouldnt take much mods to bring up to similar performance as an evo.

the lancer gsr's were made from around 92-96 and they are an all wheel drive turbo charged 4 cylinder lancer which puts out around 140kW stock

Lancer GSR is the trim level just below the Evolution. AWD and 1.8 turbo, but it's performance isn't built up to be like a rally car (like the Evo).
