  • oh what a sweet soul!! and he looks like he is filled with pride, too!! :^) such a fantastic story, i am happy that someone caught it on video. it's so awesome that he raises money (and awareness) for cancer research. Dozer is a sweet, special soul and it was wonderful to 'meet' him, thank you!! <3

  • I have the same type of dog, actually that dog looks like a splitting image of my dog. Goldendoodles r awesome, smart and very intelligent and require virtually no training. They r also very adorable. My dog is my mountain biking partner. She will run along beside me for 5 hrs

  • that is so cute i want that dog

  • How many miles/kilometers was the race?

Btw, It's probably a fit dog and all but there are lots of dogs which could run a full marathon easily. Just depends what breed.

  • very touching and all BUT let this serve as an example: ELECTRIC / "INVISIBLE" FENCES ARE NOT AN EFFECTIVE MEANS TO CONFINE A DOG TO YOUR PROPERTY!

  • Love it!!

  • What a beautiful Dog. :-) As a two time Cancer survivor; Dover you sure are man's best friend. *big hugs* to you. xxx

  • Most people don't realize they are being manipulated by this cute dog story and others like it. Great dog - this isn't about the dog. Watch "American Cancer Society Scandal." It will do more to cure cancer than 100 races for the cure.

  • @lungcancercure Actually, I just like the fact that the dog had fun and returned safely to his family. :)

  • I'm sure the dog returns with the metal around his neck and the owners are wondering, "Where the hell have You been?"

  • @darkwulf23 hell ya, talk about unintentional fame!

  • Most choose to sit in the front yard and watch. Some are not content to watch life from the front yard. They choose to find a way over that invisible fence that holds them there and be a part of it. Dozer is one of those who chose to jump that invisible fence and run the race.

  • Few things can make people laugh & cry at the same time.

    This is one of them.

  • A Dog Named Zuma used to run Marahtons with his owner Dr. Mike Simms of Allen Park Michigan . I had the pleasure of training with the both of them many years ago.

  • Great story. What a dog.

  • Dozer, you're my hero little dude !

  • Man's Best Friend!! Go Dozer!!

  • 2 people use laptop track pads

  • How could you dislike this? You people that have are seriously disabled in the brain department. Just miserable and pathetic people.

  • @WWxillx

You obviously dont understand they made the dog run it. Lik a dog knows what cancer is and stuff -.-

  • good boy dozer *girlfriend*

  • What a brilliant story. Really cheered me up! Well done Dozer!

  • Cat psychology: They're running; whatever.

  • Dog psychology: Follow the pack, follow the pack, somebody'll know why we're all running, follow the pack, they're clapping so I'm doing it right, follow the pack.

  • gotta love this! way to go dozer! just make sure you get your parents permission next time :-)

  • gotta love this! way to go dozer! just make sure you get your parents permission next time :-)

  • why would anyone "dislike" this?!? such a sweet story

  • Yay Dozer!!

  • There is nothing in the world like a wonderful, loving dog

  • There is nothing in the world like a wonderful loving dog

  • I agree that it's pretty strange no one thought to check his tags or whatever after the race. Luckily he got home safely.

  • Is he wearing booties? If so, I'd say he must have been planning/training to run this for awhile. Good Dog!

  • Dogs are the best! Nice one Dozer!

  • So Dozer ran ~8 miles, and then .... ran ~8 miles BACK HOME?!? No one out of the several hundred people at the event thought to check him out, look at tags, or try to help him? Nice group of people. Real animal lovers. Luckily he DID get back home, no thanks to anyone. And now they have the temerity to use his story to get donations. I wonder how they'd all feel had he not made it home, been hit by a car, got lost, or worse. Wake the F up people.

  • @gretschjazzer

yup definitely agree with you on this one. you took the words right out of my mouth. Incredible.. my number one reaction anytime i see a dog wondering without an owner is to go help him out and find the owner. what a special little guy, thank God he wasn't hurt walking 8 miles home, i just don't understand people! Wake the F up is right.

  • @89Czeko projection 101.

  • Yaaaayyyyy

  • To the one loser, WHATS NOT TO LIKE ABOUT THIS?

  • good dog! :)

  • Now, this is my kind of news! Way to go Dozer and family. Dozer just wanted to see where everyone was in such a big hurry to go! To bad there wasn't a nice juicy steak waiting for him at the finish line.

  • What a cutie! :D

  • Awwww! Dozer's so cute!!

  • Love his little 'High Fives' he gives at the end of the vid ... What a GOOD LAD !!! Woof, Woof ...

  • This would be a great idea... a marathon for pets and owners to do together to raise money for shelters for homeless and abused animals

  • He's one of those barefoot runners, I see....

  • Dozer is awesome!! My kinda people.

  • That is a great story! He looks so proud crossing the finish line, and he should be!

So happy that he got back home, too!

  • @ambereddie15 i agree-- they should use the criminals who are useless ,leave the ''animals alone ,they give us pleasure, the crooks give us sorrow..

  • Yay Dozer!

  • Good boy Dozer!

  • OUTRAGE! this cancer research facility conducts ABUSIVE experiments USING ANIMALS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dozer, Please stop Donating to this research facility and direct people to research that does NOT conduct experiments using animals!!!!!!!!

This research facilty is using Dozer, who is an animal, to abuse other animals by conducting abusive experiments on animals!

  • @helpanimals1000 What the hell are you talking about

  • @3volved University of Maryland uses animals for testing their research! Animal testing is abusive, painful to animals! There are alternatives ways University can test their research WITOUT HAVING TO TEST ON ANIMALS!

  • Wow~ he is quite the champion! Way to go Dozer!!

  • I hope the research Dozer raised money for, does NOT use animals in abusive animal testing!

  • ..and the one dislike is the worlds biggest asshole.

  • Oh come on, he cheated because he entered at 5 miles. I call for his medal to be fully revoked, his censureship, and complete barring from all future Maryland road races. I also demand drug testing.

  • Awe that is so cute! I like how he came in at the end of the race, like he had not a care in the world:) to cute and thank you for sharing!

  • You can actually help work towards a cure for cancer and many other diseases by watching the video on my channel. Your computer can actually be used as a scientific research tool.

  • He was just following the age old rule: if you see a lot of people running, START RUNNING! How was he to know it was a marathon? It could have been an alien swarm or stampeding buffaloes. Good doggy!

  • Two paws up! Finally a real fighter against cancer! Not a yapping grant sponge!

  • Dozer is amazing! Dogs can rule the world and inspire us all

  • hah my friends dogg i love that doggg hes a beastt

  • Great story! Dozer has raised close to $8,000 to fight cancer. You can donate to Dozer's page here: ummsfoundation(dot)org/dozer

  • Go Doodles!!

  • Dozer is a GOOD dawg. really.

  • great story.

  • the best of the best are the animals of this planet. thank you,Dozer. JC

  • too bad all the news everyday couldn't be as good as this!

  • My daughter, Kate, is the runner with Dozer at the finish line. She was so concerned about the dog and we were happy to see he is safe and sound at home with his family.

  • Huge cheater! His owner said he joined the race at the 5 mile mark. Didn't even complete a 1/3 of a marathon.

  • @swlyon3

The dog didn't drive home you moron. He actually traveled more than half a mile.

  • @swlyon3

The dog didn't drive home you moron. He actually traveled more than half a marathon.

  • @swlyon3 yes, but this was a half-marathon, bonehead. p.s. what's your point?

  • Awesome dog!

  • Awww. Go Dozer!!!! What a cutie!!!

  • A friend sent me this video, just LOVED it. I have 2 Goldendoodles myself and Isaac tends to get through his invisible fence when people and dogs jog by. I have gotten many reports that Isaac is wandering aimlessly down our road. Fortunately, people recognize him and kindly bring him home. I don't think he has the brain power to do it on his own - but he is extremely lovable and we wouldn't trade him for anything. Go Dozer!!

  • Great story. He was probably thinking the whole way

"Hey, where's everybody going? Must be something good if all these people are chasing it."

  • @bangitsmom way too cute! XD Had me laughing!

  • @bangitsmom And there was! Dog treats, a shiny toy and lots of attention! :)

  • Very Cute Story!! Animals are amazing! That is cool that the half marathon people gave him his own medal! We need to hear more good feeling news like this, in a world where most of the news is bad. Thanks for posting!

  • He went home all by himself? Didn't anybody have the common sense to inquire who's dog it was or check his tags...that's the first thing i would have done.

  • U r the best. way to go Dozer.

Glad they gave him a medal :) so cute

  • Its great to see how dogs excel at doing good things for people reaffirming they are mans best friends. Excellent ambassadors for all animals to further protection and safety insuring their well being. WTG Dozer... Good Dog!!!

  • Great story! Wonderful for him to support this important cause:)

  • This is the one of the best and most inspiring stories I have heard in a long time. Many years ago I had a friend who missed class one day because her dog had passed away the night before. The teacher became upset when she found out she missed school because of that. She said, "who cares, it's just a dog"....well, I threw a fit at her, and let her and others know that dogs are as part as the family as kids are. I am proud to work with animals everyday for the last 7 years. Dozer, you're my hero!

  • @GMan911S

theres one in every group... nice comment

  • Great job, Dozer!!

  • Dozer you're a great role model for people and pets.

  • 0:35 it knew it was being filmed

  • Awesome. IN the race his paws looked black, were they dirty and soar from the race or was he wearing running shoes? lol. Great job Dozer.

  • Joyful! I wish I could own a dog.

  • Awsome job pal more then i can run lol

  • the amazing thing about this story is that the dog found his own way back home; after running 8 miles total in multiple directions... even "as the crow flies" he had to be 3+ miles minimum away from home... that's the crazy part. my dog gets lost chasing his on tail...

  • What a wonderful story...made my day. Thank you Dozer!

  • luv this story!!! SOOOO CUTE!!!!! WAY 2 GO DOZER!!! LOL

  • So cute... Animals are amazing

  • @flattopnm1 o god, i'm SO glad......
