@JohnHFilms The 18-55 IS and the 18-135 IS are suprisingly good for the price. I found them better than a more expensive Sigma i brought when in came to image quality.

Yes, Vista was bad when it was launched, but it's fine now, in fact I would say it's great! Faster than XP on my PC, better compatibility with new programs & looks much nicer than XP.

Not sure I can be bothered to upgrade to 7 & sort out the drivers...

Vista only runs crap on badly configured/old PCs. You do overcourse need to configure vista for your needs. I'm not saying it's the best OS ever, but I would have nominated windows ME as the worst OS of the decade.

@weelee40k why are you slagging off john, the gadget show is about all the latest tech and that includes cameras/televisions/media-play­ers. the gadget show lets john review these because he is simply the best at juding picture/sound quality. it dosent matter if you got rid of john the producer would still do the reviews except they would be poorer quality. TGS is about consumer advice aswell as fun and if you dont like it then just watch it on 4OD and skip it.

Them google phones seem to be a bit of a rip off and iPhones are still better they will for a long time... Well they will be better with a decent camera c'mon it's 2010 2.0 megapixels is too low, even my rip off £45 per month for 24 months lg arena has a 5.0 megapixel camera but it's a crappy phone which is way too expensive at a really low 1080 quid! wow i never have had trouble with my computer it has vista. The only bad thing is i have the 64-bit operating system and not all my programs have been tested for the 64-bit. I will see, i just got this PC for Christmas.

to be honest vista isn't that bad to be #1 maybe 5. Although vista is slower than XP and there was a few issues with the programs and hardware on relase... you have to remeber XP was just like that at birth but though updates got better. I am still running vista and will be upgrading to 7 soon. But vista is an OK OS. Not the best but still not THE worst.
