  • are you able to sell this blower and attachments yet for a silver eagle??

  • @firebirdonnos

Unfortunately not, Dixie won't approve it because installing it requires the mower deck to be removed and

they're trying to come up with a blower that won't make that necessary. Don't know if it'll happen. Sorry.

  • Would this snowthrower work on a Silver Eagle?

  • Yes, we have mounted it on a Silver Eagle already. Unfortunately, we can't sell it because our new dealer agreement won't allow us to unless Dixie has approved it. We're trying to get it approved now. If you want one send me your contact info and I'll let you know when I can sell it!

  • Is ythis a rad technologies snow thrower? We have been trying to contact them since we have gotten snow throwers from them in the past

  • No it's not made by rad technologies. We're working with Dixie Chopper to have them mass produce the mounting hardware and get this set-up listed as an "approved" accessory.

  • Cool setup!

Thats a Bercomac snowblower isn't it?

    Looks like one.

  • where did you buy the snowblower? we have a dixie chopper by toro and i want a snowblower on it

  • @tjpungas

Do you have a Dixie Chopper or a Toro? It makes a difference because Dixie Choppers tend to have more Horsepower then the competition, and this really helps whether you're cutting grass or snow blowing.

  • Yes, all the new Dixie Choppers are coming

in with electric clutches now. They're safer because they stop the blades faster. The

snowblower can go on an older unit without

    the electric clutch.

  • dixie chopper is the complete unit if they have snowblowers now. Do the new units only have electric clutches now?

  • i like the manual clutch its easer on the belt i think but the electric is a lot safer

  • @crackcrackkorn

They're both about the same in regards to belt life, the key is the engine speed at the time of blade engagement. But the electric clutch was necessary in order to meet federal safety guidelines.

  • i all ways start the deck at low rpm i havent seen the new dixies but do the put seat belts on them now

  • Yes, the new machines all have seat belts and

roll bars that can be angled down.

  • how much is it to add a snowblowe rto a existing mower

  • Depending on what model you have it'll

    cost between $2500-$3000.

  • Yes it is a Classic. We have also set up a newer

Xcaliber model with a snow blower.

  • is thisthe classic?
