@six3sixRiddim Do you like Liaison? Is it expensive? I'd love to take their personal chef program but I have no idea how much it is and they don't seem to be accredited for student loan funding.
@sauceykat Theres a reason why they dont take student loans. They feel that your able to take the money and run. Its happened before is why. The personal chef course is $3000 for 4 weeks. You learn the business side of it and theres a possibility you may become a member of the CPCA (canadian personal chef alliance)...depending where your from. The cooking course itself is $8000 for 15 weeks. Its an amazing school. You learn something new each day.
@six3sixRiddim Thanks. I still don't get the student loan thing. I mean, I understand the "take the money and run" thing but that doesn't really have anything to do with them, that would be between the borrower and the lender (gov't). I just don't know where I would get the money from to pay for it and I'm a little nervous about it not being accredited.
So, is the personal chef program in addition to the regular cooking program or instead of it?
@sauceykat Well..Not only do they have a trust issue. They do give you options on how you pay the course. You can give them a monthly cheque. Pay it one shot. Or slowely pay them off as you wish even when your done the course. You can still pay it off slowely. I suggest you build a relationship with the Chef or who ever handles the cash. They are understanding and not all that strict.
Thats how it should be done. I go to Liaison College as well...amazing stuff.
