Its really absurd how politicians and the media just present the 'economy' as if it was somehow an autonomous issue. This guy presents the idea that politician's actually have the ability to just make a decision and 'fix' the economy. Just like that.

America is undergoing a long term structural economic decline. The best any politician can do at this point is 'damage control', and not dig the hole deeper through resource wars and tax hikes. Talk about 'fixing the economy' is just sugar water.
