No only oh so clearly played at speed but stunningly clear & helpful supporting comments. I'd just like to be able to play like this.........So much more practice & self study to do. Thank you for this gift.
@liosama counting the way he does can be more difficult when you are starting, you must learn to count out loud but start very slow and subdivide to the lowest used in this case 16th notes.
Thanks for your inquiry. For more information regarding Masa's master class DVDs, including ordering, please visit his website. Hi Masa - You are a wonderful performer. You really know how to convey emotion through your playing, and it is a joy to hear you perform. Jonathan may have technique, but you have soul.
The trailer doesn't do him justice and I'm exhausted, having just went throuh the entire thing this weekend... and the "inverted" isolation really does help!
The Sonata Systems title music is the theme from "Memories of the Wind", an original composition by Masakazu Ito, sampled from his "Intimate Guitar" CD. The main title theme music is "Mt. Princeton", another original composition by Ito, sampled from the same 1996 recording. Visit his website to review the entire discography, including several beautiful and deceptively complex compositions for guitar by Masakazu Ito.
The release date is June 25th. To order the DVD, please visit the videography web page on Masa's web site, or click on the Sonata Systems link provided here.

non mi piace molto questa versione...troppo lenta e con posizioni ke non ci sono nei miei 4 spartiti di questo brano... molto pulito.

He has amazing concentration—actually counted time aloud while performing the trickiest passage. BRAVO!

The DVD came in the mail yesterday and I'm thoroughly enjoying his musicality, especially his thoughts on rubato.
AmazedFret 4 years ago
Yes, that was impressive. Many, many examples out there with bad rubato, playing way out of time, etc.

Thanks for your inquiry. Masakazu Ito is playing a lattice braced guitar by Greg Smallman, the same builder John Williams selected for the hall.

is it john williams' guitar???
or its look like?

Very relaxed setting. Liked how he counted time while performing the most difficult passage as well...
