Even Sen. Byrd, the former Klansman expressed a lot of anger at Obama circumventing the Constutional authority of the Senate to confirm/deny these "czars."

Steven Rattner is a good example, he probably wouldn't have won confirmation considering how corrupt he is.

Bush appointed 44 "Czars" while president, many of them were not confirmed by Congress either. Obama appointed 33 so far.

A lot of research from a lot of different sources. I actually may be off on Obama's Czar picks. I think he may actually have picked 35. Still less than Bush. But only the Right can do a complete 180 on an issue as mundane as these Czars and turn it into some sign that Obama is some kind of Communist or Fascist.

Are we in agreement that all czars are a joke? Susstein just got confirmed so at least some of these guys are going before the Senate but I still would oppose them by default.

Most of these czars are redundant, the Senate already appoints people to posts that cover most of these czars so-called new duties.

I think there probably is way too much bureacracy with some of these positions. My problem with people like Beck is they're are turning a traditional "too much bureacracy in government" into an evil plan by Obama to skirt congressional oversight. It's a very disingenous argument Beck is pulling, especially since Bush appointed just as many "czars" when he was president.

I had many problems with Bush:

Campaign Finance Reform, amnesty, Sarbanes-Oxley, outrageous spending, TARP, NCLB, ethanol subsidies, etc.

Beck actually criticized Bush quite a bit on those things. Granted, I don't listen to Glenn that often, but I know he was all over Bush on immigration.
