I love the jets but they did a terrible job. You can't slow down EVER or else the hover mode turns on and you smash down to earth when all you wanted to do was make a tighter turn in the jet. There should be a button for hover mode not slowing down and having the engine pop down.

it is like that on purpose nobody really knows if thats meant to be realistic as the plane isnt even in service yet but its not the best at dogfighting and the controls are much heavier

The reason people say it is trash is because you can't break properly during a dogfight. But it would be interesting to see the hover mode in action during a dog fight, as it opens new possibilities

@TheDawgwillbite I'm a terrible jet pilot so my opinion of the jets shouldn't be taken to heart. I like the F35 because it's fun to fly, but that's not to say that it's an effective vehicle.

@aethyal I manage to out turn & kill some flankers today with the F35. To do that you need to stay in the cockpit view and make sure you maintain a speed of 300 by taping the 'S' key. It's not trash, it's just new and obviously ppl needs time with it.

@aethyal oh btw, to make it ezier for you to know the position of enemy jets during a dogfight is the air radar. It is even more important for the F35 since you need to stay in the cockpit to keep an eye on the speed.

@InFlamesor12 Are you holding down S? That's how I did it. Hold down S then use a afterburner to keep myself in the air. If you let go of S you will start to move forward again.

@GamerDTT To fly straight up you hold S (Throttle down) and use afterburners. Throttle down in the F35 changes the position of your engine and afterburner will give you some lift when you're close to the ground.
