Seriously you are the best EVER! i have learned so much in like 10 minutes that I never knew and literally gonna change how i make music. Keep doing what you are doing!!!! Thank you!
after many many many tutorials i belive this is one of the best ones i have seen ...plus...i will watch it like 2 more times for sure..there is a lot of good stuff going on...thanks man ..loved it..tom you killed it man..very inspiring...
Save yourselves 45 minutes and just run your plectrum slowly on a guitar string with a delay and reverb turned up. :). I make this sound all the time when I start getting board playing guitar.
@cosmcosm @19:30 You don't need to consolidate. By unchecking "Linked Region/Loop" in the envelopes section you can have independent lengths for your loops and envelopes, that is, you can have that 32 bar envelope while still keeping the 2 bar loop. In fact you can even have different lengths for each parameter!
I got a lot out of that even though I don't use Ableton this was so smack filled with ideas that are the same so I can use them anyhow. 1 hour of this must be gold for Abletoners.
Greatest. Tutorial. Ever. I've been learning how to use Live for a week or 2 now and I can honestly say I've learned more from this one video than all the other videos I've seen so far (and trust me. I've seen a LOT) Keep up the good work, bruh!
I love these tutorials because they help me get the most out of Ableton, but I especially love watching the workflow of creativity. The way Tom uses tension/release is just amazing, and I'm very thankful he shows his process.
I don't play electro house, I don't even listen to it. But this tutorial is absolutely fantastic and with plenty of tips for virtually any kind of musical genre. Loved it.
if you've got time, would you make a tutorial on the techniques you've used creating the Tek-Bass on this track? it's so massive, i love it. it sounds alot like a bass i'dd like to make.

I appreciate the effort tom...but can u make these kinda videos into small parts in the future? coz not every1 has high speed connections to buffer the whole thing.
I don't mean to sound like a smart arse 'cos tom is the boy, but, at 6.40 he mentions turning off the grid to move the clip, you can actually do this by holding down the alt key and just dragging the clip, it moves freely around the grid, just my little bit of input!
I actually went "woohoo" when I saw you put up an hours worth of stuff I wanted to know. I love watching you work, everytime I think, well it doesnt sound quite right in some places and then you add a couple of small things and it just works. You are the Bob Ross of Ableton.

@abletonandreasondude alt key is normally the key used for drag duplication if im not mistaken...not free grid movement.
