@AlfheimBeauty ts a slide originally blues guitarists used bottle necks but now you can find metal ones like orvile is using here but they still make them out of glass... thats pretty much it haha hope this helped

It's called a slide. It makes that swooshy, swingy kinda of noise. It replaces the fret so that the note is where the slide is.
