  • thats quite silly

  • This video is quite obviosly incorrect, Derren Brown did either predict or fix the lottery. In one of the adverts for the show, show weeks before the live show, the rubers are quite cearly writtern on stickers on a lamp post. So I'd like to see you try to explain that.

P.S Don't post a video like this unless you are absolutely certain that you are right, theres no need to go spreading rumors. :)

  • well now you sound even more smart dont you babe. hahaha thats so sad that you did that LOL

  • seriously, you need to get a life k. how sad if your life that you spent a few hours making a pathetic little video to put on youtube explaining how a ball moved like a millimetre? why don't you just enjoy it instead of critising it, trust me your life won't seem as sad and depressive if you did that babe ;) k love youuu ;)

  • A few hours? LOL I spent 2 minutes stealing somebody elses video.

  • What is wrong with you people!! Come on!

People have been trying to predict the lottery numbers for years!!! Who wouldn't!

Maths cant even work it out, mathmeticians have tried and tried 0-99 chances of a number coming up. . wayy tooo many possible sequences at one time!!

  • Its not hard, as a video editing and multimedia student, you freeze one side of the screen or (press record, stop, move an object and press record agen) it gives the illusion its a continuous recording.

People use it all the time!! In movies, a stunt scene! The actor will pose, freeze the screen, replace the actor and play again. It can be used live. . most webcams you can pause!!

He replaces the balls with the correct ones and then reveals no miricle. . but a trick

  • its not impossible to predict the lottery u dumb asses just highly unlikley well how do u think that some people win the lottery. they guess and are very lucky, this was 100% real, u seen how it was done and he even said try it yourselfs, just like wen he predicted the winning horse on trick or treat wasnt impossible just highly unlikly

  • He owns. And all this videos are crap.

  • lol it didnt even move. u think it moved. look closly and u will realise u just want him to be wrong. hes a legend.

  • if he really did predict the lotto why didnt he get a celeb witness to verify that the numbers were in fact the lotto numbers?

  • this is hilarious some dork with way too much time on their sad hands plus if your gonna talk shit about Derren Brown then at least put forth a intellegent argument not this crap "oh he changed the balls and the cameraman wrote on them" and when did this happen? as its one single shot you dumb bastard!

  • ok i dnt kno why people are looking at the smallest details for hours trying to catch darren out, its a trick, hes an illusionst its what he dose, of corse you cant predict the lottery, and what was that before and after bull crap they were exactualy the same. if u ask me thats not how he did it.

  • Ahem!

It is a fact that it is impossible to accurately predict the lottery in the way it was done. It is just as likely for the same set of balls to appear one night, than on the following session. For example, it is just as likely for the numbers from the previous draw to appear on the same night Derren chose to do his 'prediction'.

  • this is exactly how i think he did it, the camara moved alot as the lottery was being showed. if your standing still in front of a t.v you dont need a camara man to hold the camara. derren is the biggest gay on t.v btw

  • The funny thing is i actually really like Derren Browns Wisdom of the Crowd theory. I understand it perfectly and it does tick the boxes - it's not against the law, anyone could do it and it probably would take a year of research to get it right. I have a problem with remote viewing in general but can look past that to see that the group were very close with 4 balls when they had bonded. One more out 41 stead of 42 and 63 instead of 36, that sounds pretty dam close to all 6 to me!

  • Where's the proof that they were actually watching the lottery live as it happened for those preliminary predictions?

  • in the beginning. The numbers on the balls are not a hologram - they looked printed on there to me. In the few seconds while the still looped he could have swapped the balls but there doesn't look to be any difference in height to me and wouldn't it take a while for an assistant to locate from 50 balls, the correct ones, place them on the stand and THEN arrange them in order. Think about it. Your the assistant. The number has just been said and you've got to locate it from 50 others?

  • I think your wrong. I don't see any difference with the balls at all.

I also don't think it's as simple as split screen. Why does Darren stand stock still as each of the balls comes out, in the same position? He knows what the balls are, wouldn't he be smiling? Saying aloud the numbers as they come out? He's still for more than a few seconds. I think the whole image is looped for that time. One 'still' played over and over again. For what purpose i don't know. As to me the balls are not blank

  • much love to you.

  • you were right he gave a ridiculous long winded cock and bull story "explaination" .

He's some spoofer, but a great show man.

  • Why didn't Brown just say "well done, you figured it out". It was still a nicely done trick and more interesting than 99% of crap thats on TV. Why the insane maths "explanation"?

  • It's not a scam, it's an illusion. He's doing it for viewer entertainment and he knows that someone will figure it out sooner or later, like the video uploader for example. He is a talented guy and has fooled millions of people watching it. He isn't doing it to get your money, I don't know where you got the word 'scam' from.

  • Its amazing that no one has commented on the fuxking stupid name Derren

  • DrTheKay has hit on a very good point there, he hasnt called any of his tricks "magic" but "Mind Tricks"

Magic is where something seems impossible e.g. sticking your hand through a blade

where as mind tricks are things that trick you into beleiving certain things

  • I dun care, Derren does a good job at it and he DOESNT call it magic, he calls it actual MIND TRICKS

unlike some faggots I know, namably david blaine but ultimately criss faggot angelfuck

  • oi nah listen my mate dave down the pub said Derren asked what he thought the numbers would be. So my mate tells him. Simple

  • lol

  • nah your making just as much crap as derren himself, those balls didnt move.

  • As a professional TV cameraman with over 30 years experience, and a lecturer in TV production, I'm 99% convinced this was done using split screen effects and a computer driven motion control rig. I've expanded on this a little on the 'Scottish Business Forums' (just Google it) in the 'Water Cooler' section... A great stunt but just a stunt, no more no less!

  • brown gets away with this tosh because no one gives a shit about magic shows anymore, you dont see them on mainstream tv.

he is clever in that he is selling an old trick and making a mint.. well done d.b.

  • lets face it, hes not going to bother his arse to set up a split screen trick, hes too good an illus ionist for that one. and if they were going to use split screen why oh why didnt they use two cameras on tripods???? there would have been no shake at all and no reason to doubt. dunno how he did it but i doubt it was split screen. look into my eyes not around look into my eyes, YOURE UNDER

  • A camera with shake is more convincing and looks more natural. After all, it is better if people think that 'the screen was shaking all the time'.

  • they just showed you the cut mate, what more do you need?

  • This is a motion split screen effect - the camera is mounted on a moving platform that loops its movement - therefore if timed correctly will match the split - also giving the impression of handheld camera with no way to split screen.

  • I can't see the balls moving just give it to me brown how ever he did it he's good

  • Well, to be fair. Nothing is random, and a machine is certainly not random. Sure, it's impossible to predict what will happen with current computing power, but line up everything a second time the same exact way (that means everything down to the quantum level) and the same numbers will pop out.

  • If you want a really detailed explanation, look here:

    debunktheillusion[dot]blogspot[dot]com

Obviously, you need to replace the [dot]s with dots...

  • WATCH MY NEW VID TO SEE HOW HE DONE IT!

  • there was no real explanation tonight....

  • This guy is so picky, derren brown is too good to cheat, so lay off him! :L

  • people who believed he used split screen are actual freaks.

HE couldnt show the balls at the start for LEGAL REASONS. channel 4 cant afford to risk being sued in the recession.

the before and afters are exactly the same you fuck. the ball moves upwards when derren brown touches them cos the rack that holds the balls are a tight fit and the pressure of the balls forced one to jump up as he touched them. he spent more than a year of his life to predict the lotto, hes spent a lot of time on it.

  • I could spend one year of my life trying to predict it, doesn't mean I have actually done it or can succeed at it. I agree that Derren is a great stage preformer and a lot of his tricks can be proformed using subtly misdirection however there is no doubt that this is clearly a fake. The camera was handheld, this is the oldest trick in the book, take the attention away from what actually matters, everyone was watching Derren not the balls and the shaking camera helped take the attention away too.

  • Legal reasons my arse? Nobody can predict the result so BBC should have no compliants. Just to remind you: Predicting something is doing 'before' the event. Not after- doh

  • I knw derran brown is a perfectly respectable man besides who would spend tongiths show ( an hour bwt) talking about a split screen tht dont take a year . he couldnt show then for leagal reasons im so wid ya danny

  • Of course he used a split screen you knob

  • It was simply a split screen. We're not freaks at all. I could easily recreate that trick using software that costs less than 30 quid and a cheap camcorder. Your LEGAL REASONS nonsense is bull. If he had revealed the numbers before the draw then it would have technically been nothing more than a prediction and therefore perfectly legal. In conclusion, split screen, split screen, split screen. Cheers!

  • its not announcing the fucking balls, its guessing??? so he wouldnt of been announcign anything, if ur not allowed to guess the balls then theres no lottery lol

  • Why couldnt he show a ticket? u cant buy lottery tickets for the 15mins before the draw, so showing the prediction would in now way affect anyone winning.

He spent a year of his life on this is also false, no matter how much darren brown tries to hide this with fake illusions to do with mice (sleight of hand as i only saw the back of 2 of the cards), the fact is no matter how clever he seems you can never predict the randomness of a machine. So he either was really lucky, or used a camera trick

  • They arent the lotto numbers.. look closely

  • but if you look at the adverts, the numbers he choses are on the lampost when he says something about knowing where to look!

  • yeah the point of the events is to TRICK the nation, not to actually perform the impossible.

Derren's act is purely mental and describes himself as an illusionist.

and even if he did create a sham,

its an art in itself to make thousands of people believe something that is not true.

  • Youtube video

    en2SdwAg

Has a remake and full solution.

  • it was live on t.v they couldnt pause it was a live show, thats like the lottery freezing lol

  • If he did a ticket then it would be 100% real and nobody could disagree . But its just an 'illusion' as thats what he does.
