@simontay78 i didnt say it is stupid, in a matter of fact i want to buy them too, thats why i watched this video, to get some ideas and to know what you got to look out for, i also own an aquarium, gonna uplaod a video soon(1-2weeks)
@sanjai1997@Katers311 Do check out other people's shrimps! Some shrimps are so expensive that they cost like $10 each for Crystal Red Shrimps and even have classifications charts too! However aquarium pets can change over night depending on interest level of people.
Some new owners of these shrimps can spent hours watching them zooming across the tank like helicopters & create nice natural environment or beautiful rocks formations for the shrimps to roam freely. ^_^
they are called planaria. they come from over feeding and they are harmless. cut back on the feeding and if you really want to get rid of them remove eerything and give it a good rince then hit the tank with rubbing alcohol.
@tehnoobwood LOL someone says it's planaria I guess :D I stopped them from expanding their population by under feeding the algae wafer to once every 3 days instead of once a day. ^_^
might be mosquito larvae, if so, no they arent harmful until they grow into adults. and to get rid of them, take the shrimp out, and replace the water, gravel, and clean the plants and other areas they dould hide
Yup those are definitely planaria, cut out on some of the feeding and that will help reduce them. They appear when there's excess of food in the tank.
@simontay78 Yes this is planaria, it's very hard to get rid of it, I had to restart my shrimptank. The reason why you get planaria: to much feeding. It has effect on your shrimps and babyshrimps, they can die of it, as they did in my tank. Maybe this is a solution: "Take a small bottle, fill it with water from the tank, and get a few small needle holes in the side of the bottle". (also put some food in the bottle).
Flatworms. your just over feeding and not gravel vacuuming enough
