He probably did not know it. As the box swings around the tail swings out, he probably did not hear it or feel it. It is the drivers mistake, but usually you don't have this problem with a box van like that. Semi Trucks it can be a real issue.

@myupser One of my FIVE drivers (yes, I am now loading five cars; fucking absurd) not only ran over several mail boxes last year, but also had a pretty bad roll-away and rear ended a lady.. all in six months. After a few weeks of punishment, working the preload, they sent him back out on the road. I load for his dumb ass every day.
same thing happened to my driver when i was a driver helper. except we realized it and had to wait there and call the supervisor. that was a fun day, got paid to just sit there. haha
