Thank you for your creative work. Does it matter if what we experience is "real" or not? The more we learn about the true nature of matter, the more the meaning of the word "real" needs revision.

If matter is just another form of energy, something I've heard physicists refer to as "information," then one can think of the universe as a big computer running a long program.

yeah me too - i remember when i was 10 i was walking home and suddenly had this overwhelming sense that nothing was real - scared the crap out of me - real freakout stuff. it only lasted a few seconds then i guess my brain resumed its delusional state in self-defense. Later when i was about 25 i smoked some pot and it happened again - it lasted for hours and i thought i'd gone mad.

When I went to Scotland I was taking a video on my phone. I was panning accross the landscap when I came upon a large rocky outcrop. It was weird because for about 2 seconds all that you can see of the rock on the video is a huge white outline and white shape of the rock, as if the colour of the rock hadn't loaded yet, but then it suddenly just pops up. It's weird and hard to explain, but it was kind of like a video game when objects don't load then suddenly materialise on the screen.

well that was just light adjustment of the CCD screen in the camera - but the analogy may be valid to something in reality being sketched only when one's attention is turned on it - that one;s consciousness creates the Universe rather than merely percieves it.

One possibility is that the sun was so bright being reflected by the rocks that it made the phone unable to adjust for the brightness. bu then without seeing it hard to say.

All this google business is is simply capturing images, many many images, and calculating which to show when rotated. They dont even use all their own equipment, and borrow from other sources.

Imagine if google used that technology to recunstruct the world into data like they did in the radio head music video. What if they used their wifi hot spots to collect data using these 3d data collectors?

I'm sure alot of that 3d viewing can be done by adobe with angles. someone ovbiously has something made for themselves there which looks great.

Google is way too rediculous, the have too much control, they want to put up those free wifi hot spots, now if they can link your google account to a location exactly using trinagulation of wifi hotspots imagine that.

I believe that google could make their own OS if they wanted to, and I'm not doubting that they wont sooner or later.
