Particleion. You need to take speech therapy or slow down and fucking talk right. It is irritating listening to you talk! can't you hear yourself? your not even prononcing all the letters in the words you're speaking! and whats with the fucking techno music? if i wanted to hear music i would put it on! i wan to watch a video about the theory not listen to a fucking rave! asshole!
Thank you for your creative work. Does it matter if what we experience is "real" or not? The more we learn about the true nature of matter, the more the meaning of the word "real" needs revision.
If matter is just another form of energy, something I've heard physicists refer to as "information," then one can think of the universe as a big computer running a long program.
I recommend to you the short story The House Beyond Your Sky by Benjamin Rosenbaum, and others if you're interested.
Cool Vid. Would you share with us all the software you use to do this. Its probably just my slow inte5rnet connection, but google Earth does not load that fast at all.
yeah me too - i remember when i was 10 i was walking home and suddenly had this overwhelming sense that nothing was real - scared the crap out of me - real freakout stuff. it only lasted a few seconds then i guess my brain resumed its delusional state in self-defense. Later when i was about 25 i smoked some pot and it happened again - it lasted for hours and i thought i'd gone mad.
Good to see so many others had the same experience - there's a deeper reality than we usually feel.
When I went to Scotland I was taking a video on my phone. I was panning accross the landscap when I came upon a large rocky outcrop. It was weird because for about 2 seconds all that you can see of the rock on the video is a huge white outline and white shape of the rock, as if the colour of the rock hadn't loaded yet, but then it suddenly just pops up. It's weird and hard to explain, but it was kind of like a video game when objects don't load then suddenly materialise on the screen.
well that was just light adjustment of the CCD screen in the camera - but the analogy may be valid to something in reality being sketched only when one's attention is turned on it - that one;s consciousness creates the Universe rather than merely percieves it.
@GoodDaySquire I have just read your comment after 4 months of being posted. Would you happen to still have that video? If so, I would love to see it. One possibility is that the sun was so bright being reflected by the rocks that it made the phone unable to adjust for the brightness. bu then without seeing it hard to say.
If you had any esoteric understanding about the nature of light and mass and therefore the entire manifest universe (including the subtle planes of the cosmic design), then you would understand that reality is ALREADY a virtual world, an apparition, the Buddhists have called it MAYA for thousands of years and they are not the only culture to have understood its nature. To contemplate rebuilding reality with computers is something only an extremely bored nerd with limited intelligence would do.
Yes it's impressive what you can do these days with a cheap computer and an internet connection but I think we are a billion years light from virtualizing the earth! The universe is way too much complex than you imagine!
All this google business is is simply capturing images, many many images, and calculating which to show when rotated. They dont even use all their own equipment, and borrow from other sources.
Regardless, images do not simulate reality. Not at all. NOT IN THE SLIGHTEST BIT.
i agree, loose the annoying intro "why do you c-c-c-c-cling to such a pathetic existence." its really obnoxious yet outdated. sounds like an early 90's "alternative" radio station blurb.
Imagine if google used that technology to recunstruct the world into data like they did in the radio head music video. What if they used their wifi hot spots to collect data using these 3d data collectors?
I'm sure alot of that 3d viewing can be done by adobe with angles. someone ovbiously has something made for themselves there which looks great.
<3 the amount of links you have, haha Moores Law, I want a video on that now :P
but look at yourself, all those links to google, and wiki
Google is way too rediculous, the have too much control, they want to put up those free wifi hot spots, now if they can link your google account to a location exactly using trinagulation of wifi hotspots imagine that.
I believe that google could make their own OS if they wanted to, and I'm not doubting that they wont sooner or later.
You've seen the radio head video that google appreantly helped out on right?
@particleion well there is 2 simulation theories...the matrix one where our brain plugged to a compter through a chip or cord..and we can only reach reality by getting "unplugged"...ad there is the simulation theory that says we are in a omputer simulation in an actualy computer....but i have the same question as you!!!!! how can we have a conscience if were just a simulation in a computer?? do sims characters have a conscience?? i dont thik so
This has me wonder what kind of machinery is making use of this sort of data as we speak. How could this be a key in the world of tomorrow. And in such a world who would be it's masters, man or machine... perhaps an abomination of the two.
lol, you need to zoom into your virtual world, zoom into your virtual house, zoom into your virtual room where you are virtually zooming into your virtual world, zooming into your virtual house Great one man! Love it!! They keep getting better!!!
Okay, Particle, I agree with your cool intro, but what next? You simply give us 10 minutes of footage of Google Earth stuff. You need to explore what comes after this, after the virtualization of the universe. Like, won't that kind of change, uh, everything? What next?
A cool video of a very interesting prospect. Virtualise the universe and you can visit any place, any time, without actually going anywhere!
So, you're back, then, Particleion? I read somewhere - I think it was on your blog - that you were going off line. Are things back to normal now? If so, we have to have that chat soon.

all you need to do is translate realistic imaging into electronic signals that can be interpreted by the the brain.

You can only virtualize the things that exist on your own Membrane - know your limitations.
openallstations 2 years ago
the things that you claim exist, are simply electrical signals processed by your brain.
