  • GREAT JOB! I absolutely love this song! Up until now, I haven't seen any songs/vids specifically to pay tribute to JK. Absolutely brilliant!

  • This song always gets to me...Love it so much still!

  • Yes. Just yes.

  • thanks you so much jo <3 i will never forget this awesome story :')

  • I have chills. Harry's type of magic may not exist, but Jo's magic in giving us Harry is one of the realest things in the world.

  • Harry Potter will always be in my heart, and when I have kids, they too shall have the Harry Potter experiance. Harry Potter will stay alive for many more generations to come. It may be the end of the books/movies but it is not the end of the Magic!!

  • @babyscottish12 Absolutely! That's my plan too. Long live Harry Potter!

  • @hptwilighter No-one can ever kill of the Magic. All it needs is one person to spread the word and keep it alive. It only needs one person to believe :)

  • I've lost count of how many times I've hit the replay button. Thank you for the song (:

  • I adore this song!!!! Thank you so much J.K Rowling ,thanks for sharing with us this beautiful magical world, I'll be always grateful . Beautiful song , great job ^w^

  • I want to meet rowling and thank her in person I bet she gets that a lot tho lol

  • hoqwarts will always be there to welcome you home... no matter what age.

  • thanks jo for all the great lessons... ill miss it.

  • Luna stopped me from cutting by teaching me to ignore bullies and do my own thing. Harry made me realize that death will happen and just because my best friend is dead, I'll still see her again.

  • Thank you. Words cannot express how much this song means to me. HP will forever be in our hearts. For Jo, you made my childhood:) you gave me something to look forward to. Thanks.

  • I absolutely love this! <3 J.K inspires me so much. I was a little late coming into the Harry Potter fandom but I was always a big reader. I have watched all 8 films and have them all except the last one which I will buy when it comes out. I am reading the books as well. I have always wanted to be a writer and reading Harry Potter and learning more about J.K makes me want to be a writer even more. So thanks J.K for inspiring me and giving me and all of us H.P.

  • You always make the best videos <3

This got me so emotionaaaal... I can't believe it's all over. :'( Thank you Jo, for my friends, my childhood, my music, my books... for everything.

  • Thank you Jo, for not all of this but for also for showing me that Jo is a pretty cool name!

    - Lora Jo(:

  • I am crying now T_T This song is beautiful. Thank you for sharing this song - I hope Rowling loves it as much as we love her books.

  • @HSSFlutie15 I will read your books!!! it makes me happy to see people out there who chase their dreams instead of laying around waiting lazily for it to happen.

  • And now, after listening to this song for 18 minutes I have to tell myself: Stop crying, stop crying, stop crying, stop crying.

  • Oh Jo, you have taught me so much.

That people can change. Snape. To laugh at evil and have fun. Fred and George. To TRY to study more. Hermione. To so many things. Whenever I feel unsure, not safe, scared, or just can concentrate, I go to Hogwarts in my mind. But I usually end up daydreaming and not doing my work. Oh well, Thank you J.K Rowling. And thank you, my best friend Emily, for forcing me to read Harry Potter. Now you wish I hadn't.

  • totally just baww'ed all the way through this.

  • are all the RiddleTM songs sung by the same girl? cause this girl sounds different than the one who sings "Ballad of Ron and Hermione"

  • @Emmajen

    they're two sisters

  • @Loveisallyouneed73 yeah i figured that out after xD silly me! thanks though! :) <3

  • For Jo.

    For my childhood.

    For my whole life, really.

    For my best friends.

For love, laughter, tears, magic, friendship.

That's why I keep fighting. Because I have something worth living for.

    Jo, this is for you.

  • I'm an aspiring author, and I think all I can hope is to be as loved as Ms. Rowling. She has inspired me and my writing so much, I don't know where I'd be without Harry. Thank you, Jo. for everything.

  • cried like a baby when saw it :)

  • Awesome video! Makes me proud of being a Potterhead!

Where did you download this song? Please and thank you!

  • One generation, only one, will know the thrill of staying up to midnight to get that book, or to watch that movie. Only one forced themselves to go without sleep until the last word of the book was read. Only one will know the excitement of Harry Potter. But many will read the words. Many will watch the movies. Many will live with Harry Potter. Because Harry Potter cannot die, no, not as long as he lives in the hearts and souls of that first generation. Our generation.

  • What stupid Muggle disliked this?!

  • Happy Birthday Jo!

  • Awesome - made me cry !

  • I hope J.K. Rowling has seen this. It's exactly what we would all say if we could. Thanks for the magic, Jo!

  • and now I'm sitting here... alone in front of my computer... at night... crying.

because THIS is what made my childhood.

Harry Potter made me who I am today. I will never stop loving these books.

  • Oh my god. exactly 7 days ago I was two minutes into the final harry potter film. This song is too much for me to take. I'm absolutely bawling right now.

  • This song...just everything about J.K.R. and Harry Potter makes me want to cry happy and sad tears.

Harry Potter is my childhood and life, Joanne Rowling is my idol, and her amazing books will always be the doorway back to my childhood.

  • i'm crying right now. thank you so much. this sums up everything

  • You wanna the best birthday present I ever got? Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. It came out on my birthday, and my parents were back home with it by the time I woke up.

Thank you Jo for everything. I am an aspiring author. However, I can never seem to stay on a single project for more than an hour. However, the thought of how you were no one and then became a celebrated author feeds my ambition, and I hope that someday, I can write a book that has touched the world like your books have.

  • @hikaruhitachiinfan Riddle TM

  • Thank you, Jo.

  • From sitting in my mom's bed when she read to me Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, to driving myself to see Deathly Hallows. From watching an orphan who lived in a cupboard under the stairs find out he's a wizard, to 'Nineteen Years Later'. From The Stone, The Chamber, The Prisoner, The Goblet, The Order, The Prince, and The Hallows part 1 and 2. From I Solemnly Swear That I Am Up To No Good to Mischief Managed.

    We are The Potter Generation!!!!

  • "This is for Jo."

    Oh, how far we've come.

  • I practically learned to read with the Harry Potter books. Harry Potter will always be in my heart.

  • You are the Queen, Jo. You truly are. Long live JK Rowling and her Harry! I will miss You and Your books, and my amazing childhood with HP...

  • ç_ç CRY

  • OH WAIT, IT'S 14TH LOL

  • HAPPY 10TH ANNIVERSARY

  • Awesome.

  • Harry Potter will always be in my heart even after it is long gone and the movies have finisheed and the books have been closed. I will always have the Harry Potter fandom in my heart :'D

  • I started reading this when I was 7. My mum showed me her secret collection, it was almost complete. DH was missing. When DH came out I made my dad camp outside the bookstore in the middle of winter to get it for me. We all grew up with Harry Potter and it will always be in our hearts.

  • @CohesionyNewspaper it was very nice of your dad, but i thought that the 7th came out in the summer(at least the english version)...

  • @elanor2006

I'm from Australia we have opposite seasons it sucks :(

  • @CohesionyNewspaper ah, alright then, because it was a bit confusing...

  • @elanor2006 yeah it sucks our seasons but a christmas summer is always fun :)

  • ahh, i remember starting to read these when i was 8... i think the reason so many people love harry potter really IS because so many people grew up with him. we feel like we knew harry, and we grew as harry grew up. i still tear up when i read these books, 10 years later, haha.

  • JK Rowling and her books changed my life. I've made so many friends through Harry Potter and more importantly she made me determined to be a great author. 11 years later and I'm still pursuing that dream. Harry didn't give up, why should I?

  • I read the first book when I was five years old,it was my first novel, and I have never stopped. I still cry at night for the deaths of our friends, these books are my life and I spend almost all of my time reading or somehow being involved with Harry. Either thru songs, the books(again), fanfics, sites, quizzes, movies, or writing these books basically own my life.

  • This made me cry. Beautiful.

  • This is so beautiful.

  • Have this on repeat while I look for clues for the secretstreetview message

  • J.K.Rowling taught me how to live.

She taught me to love schooling and to not give up with Hermione.

She taught me that i'm more important than i think with Ron.

She taught me to laugh in the face of danger with the twins.

She taught me to love my familly with Molly Weasley.

She taught me that people can change and the meaning of bravery with Severus Snape.

And she taught me that strength comes from deep inside and not to give up no matter what with Harry.

I owe my childhood to you, Jo.

  • @TooManyLightsabers

Lots of people owe their childhood lessons from Jo and the amazing thinds we learnt from HP. Long Live Harry Potter

  • WHY DOES HARRY POTTER HAVE TO END?!?!?! I want to cry really i do! I'm excited for the movie but i do NOT want it to end! J.K.Rowling please wite more please, PLEASE write more. Dont laugh at this comment im only 15...

  • I have goosebumps, and I'm crying. Thanks so much. No, I'm serious- thanks, this was amazing.

  • HANKKKK!!!!!

But really, Harry Potter has been with me since I was seven and will always be with me, even though it's been finished. Thanks to Jo, for giving me something I can always rely on when things get rough.

  • Comment for "For Jo"

    Stop Breaking My Heart!!!!!

I have nearly cried three times today because of this song. One time I was taking a test and another time I was on public transportation.

Why does it have to end? I am actually not too excited for the movie.

Why does it have to end?

  • @aquadrop25 All the books may have been written, and the movies might be almost done. But, the Harry Potter Fandom will never die. :)

  • Joanne Rowling - the woman who changed the entire world just by writing a book.

  • this song pritty much sums up what every fan of Harry Potter would say if they could meet Jo. I owe her so much. When i was in 1st grade i hatted to read and my grads were bad because of that. i had trouble reading (because of a mental problem) but i love the Harry Potter books so much that i would read them regardles of my problems. My grades begian to improve and i am now reading at a collage grade level. so thank Jo thank you for everything I owe you more than i will ever be able to repay.

  • I've been reading harry potter since i was like 2 or 3 years old i've seen all the movies and i love them harry potter taught me that love can outdo evil and i need to be brave no matter what even though people make fun of me for liking harry potter i don't care

  • i picked up my first hp book when i was in 2nd or third grade i believe. I got through chapter 1, then got frustrated bc the library needed it back. that christmas, my mom got me the first four books. I read through them with lightening speed. I remember my mom told me I couldn't get the fifth one until i finished those four. Then i saw HP1 the movie and i was in awe of the magic and friendship. I got the last three books all at midnight and read them all within days. JK did teach me how to read

  • Oh my god! How can I have never seen this before. I... it gave me creeps, and tears in my eyes. B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L. Omg, again. No it's time for me to go in a corner and cry over how much I love Jo, and her books.

  • I get goosebumps whenever I hear this song. Thank you Jo, you were and still are my childhood. :)

  • less than three.....

it's hard for me not to tear up when i hear this. The acual song plus your video...

Thank you, Jo. You have made me a much better person.

  • Eleven years ago on Christmas morning, I probably received loads of toys, but I don't remember of them, because I was so fixated on the first 3 Harry Potter novels my mom had given. Even though I was 6 years old and had the attention span of a goldfish, I didn't rest until I finished them. Months later I begged my mom until she took me to a midnight party to get Goblet of Fire. I grew up reading and rereading Harry Potter, and it helped me become the woman I am today. Thank you Jo.

  • @EillacProductions Aww that is such a great story. Long live Harry Potter!

  • Thank you very much, J. K. Rowlling

  • Everytime I listen to this song I try not to cry ....I fail ....always...

This song just expresses everything JK did for me. I'm so greatful<3

  • Oh God, I don't usually cry at songs...but this is making me weepy...;_;

  • Thank you JK Rowling.

  • Reading Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone is my first memory. I was four. These books have been a life-saver, honestly. Without them I wouldn't have made it through middle school. I'm upset that the books are coming to an end, but I'm happy that I was part of the generation that grew up with Harry. :) I'm almost seventeen now, I'm been reading Harry Potter since I was four. Thank you Ms Rowling.

  • dont why but it makes me want to cry

Jo's books and the thoughts she had on a train changed my life i've been reading harry potter books since i was 7 and im now almost 13 ( i mean 1 month 5 days ill my b-day) and its just had such an impact on my life i cant put it into words :') for jo greatest author this world has ever seen!

  • oh my rowling!! gave me chills. Jo is my hero, inspired me to write, and, as the song says 'taught the whole world how to read', it was all I read until my mom banned it during the school year. I started the series when I was 6/7, and am now 16, about to graduate high school, and the series has stayed with me all these years.

    Thank You, Jo

  • @xX15Kiwii15Xx The author of the Harry Potter books.

  • I hope I'm not the only one that gets choked up everytime they see Hogwarts...

  • Love this. Beautiful song. Because what can we say or do other than say thank you, Jo we dedicate everything to you?

  • this song makes me cry evrytime i hear it! it's so beautiful!

  • J. K. Rowling is amazing. I love how, even though they can read, teenagers sit in the little "reading time circle" thing to enjoy Jo reading her book. Harry Potter is, and ALWAYS will be, the best book I've ever read. ♥

  • this song makes me cry...but in a good way :')

    it's soo beautiful ♥

thank you J.K. for this awesome story

and for RiddleTM for this song <3

  • WTF??? Who was the stupid person who clicked the "Dont Like" button???

    This song is AMAZING!!!! ♥

  • @kiws87 Someone clicked the dislike button? I didn't even checked because I thought it would just be all checks, that person better have a REALLY well-thought reason for doing that. Either that or some Twilight fan who thinks "Hry Pter scks"

  • I think without JK i'd be into binge drinking and going on government money. She taught me to read and lightened the lamp of my love of fantasy. Without her I wouldn't be into book restoration which in itself reminds me of Hogwarts library because of all the leatherbounds. Thanks JK

    *bawls*

  • Shit, i think i'm about to cry.... ;~;

  • @JadensGirl22:

Correction: I AM crying. Big time.... TT_TT

  • Amazing. And, for the record, i'm crying here.

  • Rowling is just my complete hero and idol.

  • I think you girls made the whole fandom cry with this song.

While I was listening to it I thought about everything I have to thank to JK.Right now I'm studying for a degree in English Translation at the University.I would not speak English if it wasn't for Harry Potter. And I would not have discovered that I love travelling above all.I would not have met my best friend and soulmate while reading the 5th book in school breaks.I am so thankful for that. And the list goes on and on.

    Thank you so much

  • I just can keep on saying that I adore this Song the Story and The woman binhind it!

  • Thank you for masking this!

I am pretty sure the J K Rowling has heard this song!

  • This explains all the thanks we have for Joanne Rowling and why we love the books. This song really does express everything there is to say. Harry Potter is helping me through my life. And I'll never be the same, I look at the world from a different perspective. A brighter one because of Joanne, and this one song tells her this. I hope that she hears it. :-)

  • I wonder if she's heard this song

  • ohh this song made me cry sooo hard, but they were happy tears!!

"I'm greatful for all that you've taught me..."

"Thank you so much for Harry" says it all

  • July 21, my birthday. I had gotten the seventh book for my birthday the day it came out in the US.

  • 100th comment

Thank you so much, Jo. You have no idea what you've done for so many people.

I almost cried, as I'm sure many other people did.

  • So yeah.....

    I decided to comment. :)

Because I this suddenly became my "addict video" where I play it in my head during school and watch it non stop at home.

Plus, this is comment 99. So... epic. :P

    Plus, I started crying. :) :'(

  • So this made me cry.

Because it is so relevant to my life.

  • The song was really good and so was the video. I would also like to thank J K Rowling so much for the Harry Potter (and Harry Potter related) books. I bet she didn't think that her books would be such a big hit.

  • She didn't. Philosopher's Stone got denied five times, but she kept trying and now she is the richest girl in England.

  • The song is just FANTASTIC and the movie is perfect for it ... So many memories ... Congratulations for your work!

    I love Jo!

  • Lyrics?

  • I always wanted to be one of those beautiful girls who were intelligent too, but now I don't care, as long as JK will still exist, I'm fine, as we can always hope that she will write more, like write books about the kids, and if Lily and Scorpius fell in love, then this would happen! As long as we can think that, and slag off the Barry Trotter books, I'll always be happy. God that sounded cheesey!!!

  • LOVE YOU JO!!!!!!!!!!

  • wow beautifil song and beautiful video I can't listen to it without crying. Does anyone know if she has heard it?
