it's worse than that. the oil that came up is "sour oil". high sulfide, worthless. they did get methane gas, that they marketed, and sold. the bad oil, "which is much heavier than water" was sank. an underwater oil lake, waiting for the next big storm to stir it up. nothing living will survive... clean up can go on forever. after every big storm whips up a new slick.;people need to go to prison
