I don't really think so. Some people say that Metallica would be cool if Dave was still in the band but....I don't think James and Lars would allow him that much songwriting freedom....which wouldn't give Metallica the composotional edge that Megadeth has even with Dave back in the band.

The whole Megadeth vs Metallica thing has always been so hard for me though. It's like asking whether or not you prefer chocolate or vanilla ice cream. I think Dave is riff God when it comes to the guitar (he did win "Riff Lord at 2007s Metal Hammer Awards, didn't he?). But James and Lars make for an interesting duo....they're like the Lennon and McCartney of metal.

There would be too many musical differences to make it into the 90s. Dave would want to stick to his roots while Ulrich and Hetfield would want to go softer like they did. The only reason Dave went a little soft in the 90s is because Friedman wanted to.

Metallica aprovecha todo el espacio en un escenario grande, en Megadeth con un escenario chico parece que es mas que suficiente, Dave Mustaine no se desplaza en el escenario como Hetfield y Chris Broderick parece que no tiene patas para caminar, por que directamente se queda en un lugar(mientras que Hammet aprovecha todo el escenario).
