  • can i design and create my own patches on this (i mean from a blank synth template with no sound...not using a preset as a basis)?

    thanks!

  • @rspexperiment of course, that's what all the knobs and buttons are for

  • @virtualoberheim thank you

  • fantastico

  • The Floyd was cool. The Rush was really cool. The Prince was annoying. But that's impressive for coming from a computer. It's amazing how well it catches the greasy fat sound.

  • russian attack, tom sawyer

  • Dude the onlly problem with these vsts is that as soon as you start to make complex chords in your arrangements, no matter how powerful or memory your pc has, it will start to freeze. Same problem if you load like many say 5 intances of such vsts, your daw starts to slow down . TO be brief, so heavy and discouraging to make professional complex music compositions. I don't know if you have same problem, however there are a few vst which are quite light, still with high quality sound, not many.

  • The "Journey tune was originally done on a Roland Jupiter8 (and in e minor, not c minor) but sounds pretty close. I love the lead sound from the Floyd. Always loved that one!

  • 0:22

Funeral for a Friend - Elton John?

  • nice Shine On Patch !!! SOL needs work...

  • 0:39 Fooling yourself ( The angry young man) by Styx.

  • 2:01 beverly hills cop

  • I intend to buy this software ... but I wanted to know what is the installation ... there is a cd or another ..... he must have cubase or sonar .... or when you put a cd and it's good?

  • nothing special.. every vst can do this..

  • Poor

    Toy sounds

  • cool

  • hahahaha the prince sound!!!!!!

  • This thing sounds great, but too bad it is such a cpu hog, even on my i7 setup. Makes it hard to actually use in a project.

  • @audiotrax2000 did you try to change your virtual memory??....i still do not understand hy people have trouble running the vst,s, i have sometimes 4 of the biggest vst,s in my programm running at the same time....win64......and with the right adjustments they run like gods........always check your sounds ....anyway in fl studio its a must to adjust the soundsettings. please tell me what your trouble is i might be usefull for u.

  • Damn nice! i loved the pink floyd one!

  • Way to much trouble to figure out how to get a system to play it. What software? What computer? What specs? To many questons. Doesn't come with system set up instructions. Just get a real one and turn it on, done. How ironic. It seems to have samenees of sound after awhile.

  • whats the preset called at 1:34

  • @korgpadude it's Pink Floyd's "Signs Of Life" - the wonderful opening instrumental of the album "A Momentary Lapse Of Reason" - can highly recommend the album

  • @virtualoberheim he asked how present is called , not song ))))

  • @virtualoberheim the music from Lavender Town in Pokemon Red and blue is what I heard.

  • Thanx! im going to check this out

  • 0:50 Dearly beloved... We are gathered here today to get through this thing called "life..."

  • are these the stock presets or did you create / modify them? i have OP-X Pro, if these are your mods, would you be willing to share patches? if so, PM me thanks :0)

  • @miamigroove These are the stock presets of OP-X (the smaller brother of OP-X PRO) - those are provided in the separate bank called opxpro_opxfactory20 too in the OP-X PRO banks library

  • Where I Can Find It To Download, it's free ? How Much Cost This? This VSTi's Sounds Are So Amazing... :D Please Help Me Find It !

  • Check the link in the video description; OP-X is $99, but there's also a preset version called OP-X PLAYER for $39; there's even a free version offering some chosen sounds

  • What the name of melody start at 1:20 ?

  • pink floyd - signs of life (opening track on "momentary lapse of reason")

  • Dearly beloved... Prince ,song .

  • prince song fav' !!

  • I've tried both free & demo, but i can figure out where do i chose presets. i can only change if i use bome's mouse keyboard program, but i can't change banks :( . and i don't see what preset i use. i just don't have it anywhere on GUI. i use live btw.

  • This is done by the VST host itself. In live you can do it in the square instrument box below the instrument track. Here you can browse through the full list of presets of the loaded bank. New banks can be loaded with the small diskette symbol (put the banks to a place you like before and load them from there). The demo version has only a few trial banks (see download package), the full one a whole library of about 30 banks.

  • thank you very much. i'm kinda new to live & vst stuff,so i'm still learning.

  • @virtualoberheim which preset did u use for the prince song

  • @HypeRhymz Preset 29 "Prince Lets Go Crazy" of the factory bank; this preset also can be found in the famous bank

  • that second patch was the beggining of Tom Sawyer from RUSH!

  • Lacks a bit of resonance and needs a slower decay to sound more accurate. But it's just a setup, the software clearly can do it.

  • :05 sounds like "Get Ready for this" Intro.

Sounds good, but I'm a freeware junkie.

    Donate to freeware producers!!!!!

  • There is a freeware version of OP-X, called OP-X FREE - you can download it on the SonicProjects website - some of the sounds you hear in this video are in there

  • At around 0:40, it sounds like Styx (Angry Young Man) and about 1:05 like Journey (Separate Ways).

  • Whats the song at :22??

  • I think that's the Barby girl song

  • Jean-Michel Jarre Oxygene 8, the brass chords

  • whats the name of the song at :50

  • It's supposed to be the intro for Let's Go Crazy by Prince (Purple Rain album) i suppose.

  • oh thank you so much!!! what about the song at 1:18?

  • signs of live - Pink Floyd, like others here posted (because i didn't know it myself, lol)

  • separate ways!!!

  • HAHA AWESOME PRINCE INTRO!!

  • FAIL. Only works on PC, no Mac support.

  • Yeah what a bummer would love to use it in logic!!!!

  • you can download a reaktor version for mac. i use it all the time! this is my fav soft synth for sure.

  • welcome to the ns10 fam.

  • yawn....

You're still hearing a digital emulation provided by your computer and staring at a monitor!

There's nothing like the real thing as they say.

  • I agree this is BS

  • mabe not the same as the real thing but very very close ... the best VST i have tried (analog type)

  • Very good software

  • the pink floyd song sounds like some stuff from the scarface music bot not the main theme (push it to the limit)

  • You play Separate Ways wrong, the notes are e,(f,b,f),F#,(f,b,f),g(f,b,f,b,f,b,f,b,f)

  • you're right, it's pitched higher in the original - but nevertheless you recognized it :-)

  • cheers im buying this thing :)

  • were do i get this synth from

  • click on the link above in the description

  • Or end of Lucky Man by ELP. Keith Emersons' moog solo

  • This is simple an awesome product!!!

  • Anybody wanna tell me what program you use for VST plugins??

  • The examples above were done in Cubase SX - but there are several other ones like Sonar, Orion, Tracktion, ...

  • do some funeral fr a friend on the opx

  • Nice !

  • Fat, nasty, and deep... like all oberheims :).

  • it's pink floyd "signs of live" - the opening instrumental of "momentary lapse of reason" - damn great music

  • What sing did the seventh sample come from? I'm talking about the sample after Journey's "Seperate Ways" .

  • I also caught bit of the solo of Styx's "Fooling Youself" at :40.

  • Yeah cause Denis DeYoung from Styx played one. An Oberheim 8-voice polyphonic, if i'm not mistaken

  • DeYoung also used the OBX, but I don't think it was out yet when the Grand Illusion album was released, so yes, I believe you are correct.

  • OBX? On which albums?

  • Paradise Theater and later.

  • Yeaaaa you've played Sings of life!!!

  • more, please!:D thanks for playing shine on... and momentary lapse of reason, too - sounds excellent!

  • always loved that fat layered sound of the Oberheims

  • ha

jean micheal jarre he used alot of fairlights back in the day...the cool stuff about the old gear is it all had its own personality..but then some stuff went out of tune...i remember the sequital circuts prohet 5 too

  • momentary lapse of reason - signs of life opening instrumental - fantastic album

  • pink floyd.. momentary lapse in reason?

  • I love mine!! Good job!!
