  • The only reason the U.S needs cuba is to use it as jump board for cocaine smuggling to florida.

  • Danger, danger, Jew Banksters. Wherever they are allowed in a country the citizens of that country will finally become slaves to the Jew Banksters.

  • Don't let the US system corrupt your natural resources and way of life! Preserve and protect your water, land, crops for the people. Material wealth is an illusion created by elitists to keep you under control, and distract you from the fruits of nature which feed your lively hood. Push for decentralization in everything, so that corrupt persons may be held accountable for their actions. Good luck, and long live Cuba!

  • And to the dude @ 9:47.....wanna see "other parts of the world" ? ? ? Why not hitch a ride to shantytown Mumbai.....

  • Instead of wasting all that money buying crap 4 boats, I'd spend it on food for my daughter.

  • Feel bad for that boat building dude. Watch him get 2 Miami and get stuck in McDonalds job sunken w/ debts. That boat guy reminds me of myself in my country India in 1991 when we liberalized. I gleefully welcomed it and now it's a huge cucumber up our collective rectal windpipes.

That dude needs 2 take a look at other countries like Dominica, Haiti, Jamaica and see how life goes on in liberalized carribeans.

  • Great programming. Gracias!

  • fuck cuba they smell

  • filthy pigpen is cuba

  • Excuse me but "Cuba" never embraced socialist principles. This is a strategy pursued by a small clique only. I doubt very much whether the Cuban people had adopted that economic model if they had been consulted. Fact is, the system is a complete failure. The price is paid for by the Cuban people.

They are the victims of a communist family dictatorship. It{s as simple as that.

  • Cuba is a leftist puppet government enslaved and subjugated to corrupt imperialistic drug-cocaine traffickers in Florida who use cubans as cheap labor force and drug mules.

  • so these future gusanos want a few dollars.... if the US would end the embargo they wouldn't have to sneak in lmfao

  • this video is bs. any cuban can leave cuba. if they wanna go to the us they cant coz the us gov doesnt allow cuban planes to land in the states.

  • lol its no better here in america

  • The Castros have done nothing but bring misery to Cuba. They are the ones that need to leave, not the young that have futures.

  • Yeah, if they could just work hard and get filthy rich in a capitalist system like the Mexicans have.

  • the cold war has been over for an entire generation - 20 years as of 12/25/1991 when Mikhal Gorbachev dissolved the Soviet Union. It is long past the time to not just normalize relations between Cuba and the US, but to become friends again. The concept of ideological warfare is old skool. We need 21st century thinking, about what is best for the people - sharing and caring and loving one another. peace, pass it on

  • @collegeprof86 they need to abolish the helms burton law and the other acts they have put in place to crush cuba econimically. The people that put these acts in place are long gone, the world has changed, that would be wiping the slate clean, and that's is where it need to start. As long as these acts are in place progress will drag on. Release all polictical prisoners on both sides, and for all humanity move forward and build friendships, disolve old enemies.

    bronx66

    \

  • @collegeprof86 well said.

    bronx

  • Fidel Castro has convinced the Cuban people that he has maintained himself in power regardless of the US oposition. When is the US special interest that use him as the bad guy of communism so Cubans vote for anti communist republicans. As scaretheAmerican people with nuclear war with IranandblameDemocratsforbeing socialist andcommunist!

  • The puppet commie government of Cuba follows American Anglos, CIA orders.

they know it, we know it, everybody knows Cuba is an enslaved island.

  • En Inglés:

Traditionally, agricultural products (bananas, pineapples, sugar, and coffee) were the main exports of Cuba. Today the economy of the islands has diversified to include technologies, textiles, and medical equipment.

In terms of this video, it is true, Cuba's economy is having a tough time. The embargo does negatively effect the country, and socialism doesn't help any either. Both are contributing to the country's demise.

  • Tradicionalmente, los productos agrícolas, como el plátano, la piña, el azúcar y el café eran las exportaciones principales del Caribe. Hoy la economía de las islas ha diversificado para incluir productos tecnológicos, textiles y equipo médico.

  • cuba is crapland full of prostitutes

  • Thanks for the reply, I guess my point would be I think Raul Castro might be the key to a transition . Do you folks remember what happened in Nicaragua in 90 when the Sandinista socialist Government were modestly voted out of power after years of an embargo and illegal war against them>? Well the strides in health and nutrition for the poor, were totally reversed and the U.S. went in and privatized everything and things got worse, till 2006 when Sandinistas were voted back in.

  • The US is losing out big time however, by preventing even moderate trade with Cuba. Infrastructure and building materials, machinery, and vehicles are now coming in from France and China and a few other nations. All this time, Cuba was trading in USD with other nations but have recently switched to the Euro, could this be a sign? i know Canada and Spain are investing in Cuban oil production, as well as medical research (thanks to stem cell, they have a promising cure for certain types of cancer

  • ITS THE EMBARGO STUPID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!If Cuban socialism is that bad , or Sandinista socialism was that bad in Nicaragua , why are we putting Embargo's on these countries>? The fact is about 30 percent of Cuba's problems are the rigid nature of Castro being a rigid Marxist. but the other 70 percent is the embargo, We know what happened to Nicargua from 90-2006 of hyper capitalism, or Russia in the 90s under raw Capitalism, Lets not let that happen, moderate socialism is the answer.

  • @roberts11000 The Embargo is quite stupid, The US hosts a wide variety of trade with China, yet their Human rights records are considerably worse (though gradually improving * THANKS TO U.S. TRADE* ). The US seems incredibly hypocritical to usher trade with one communist country yet ban trade with another. Moderation is indeed the key, and i fear if Cuba opens up to the US now, they will be swarmed with corporations, shoving and outbidding each other for operating rights in Cuban market.

  • do we still think cuba is a threat? why wont they lift the travel ban?

  • I really wish the US and Cuba could figure things out. I would love to travel there

  • Socialism always fails!

  • @superstud666 Well, that's actually what cannabis smokers and other illegal drug users live through every single day in the west. ^_^

  • Sisterbegonia please stop calling deragotory names, I never insulted you in none of my comments. I am not an American. I don't own any part of America. The Duponts, the rockefellers the big corporate shareholders- those are the real american's. The rest of us are just squaters here.

  • PINGA PINGA todo esto es PINGAAAA! pura PINGA

  • Lets take a look at Mexico...a capitalist country ran by druglords...and I dont wanna here all the bs about how mexico is a "transitional" country and its getting better. My ass...

  • The trade bloc is whats screwing Cuba. The US will do everything in its power to make sure the cuban economy suffers...

  • I have been to spain in the continent of north africa, and to mexico in the continent of west africa, and I can tell you that the spanicos are well on the way to catching up with the rest of the world.

  • Cierto que la vida es dura Cuba es una prisión disimulada lastima

  • right now move to cuba

  • another propaganda film about cuba

  • WTF?here in US we deal with China but not Cuba that is also Comie...Cuba is just 90 mls away, products here in US could be cheaper if we brought all those factories to Cuba.

  • wait until Pablo finds out about your bootlegging mattress business :P

  • First of all, no one fought for socialism in Cuba. Cuba's revolution was called a "Socialist Revolution" once the Soviets got involved. It was an authentic revolution before that.

  • @Tougemaster06

no castro and che planned on changing cuba to communism from the beginning of the revolution. it's the basically the same reason that he went to bolivia; to make it socialist.

  • The Embargo is as outdated as our "leaders" in Washington DC.

  • @dpman72 Then why is it still in place?

  • @rednemesis88 That's what I'd like to know. We deal with China but not Cuba. Makes me think there could be a lot they're not telling us. Even the most liberal poloticians won't touch that subject.

  • @dpman72 bourgeois politicians will not touch that subject because Cuba is the only country in the world right now where socialism actually does work. The U.S. government is really more like a puppet regime for the minority wealthy corporate class who make sure that their interests are served first above the other lower classes. The Cuban Revolution is a direct threat to their power structure. Don't believe the lies of the government and the Cuban-American right wing.

  • @rednemesis88 Communism works in Cuba? For whom? Most certainly not the people for whom Communism hasn't worked in...hmmm...about 51 years. But, oh, never mind. You gringos know best, of course. You always know best. And if you say it works, by Galee, it must work!

  • @rednemesis88 -"Cuba is the only country in the world right now where socialism actually does work." ROFL! Oh, yeah! Only in the "mind" of an idiot Amerikan does Socialism work in Cuba. What a shame we can just round you all idiots up, put you on a boat and send you to Cuba for a couple of years! After that, we'll see if you still think Socialism/Communism works.

    Idiots!

  • @dpman72

yeah dude read some history. the embargo sucks but there was a reason behind it.

  • Well done clip of the everyday life in Cuba today. Find it hard to believe that Communism in Cuba still exists after all these years. So many have fled Cuba to the U.S. and some never made it. Fidel and his brother really have the country in a rap! It's time for the younger generation to kick some ass. The only ones that seem to be living well are Fidel and his brother - everybody else is in poverty.

  • @wfc290 They still have Socialism because 80% of the people still support it. And although it's true that there is growing disillusionment among the youth, they don't have any illusions about capitalism when they see imperialist wars and economic depression occur within the hallowed borders of mighty capitalist countries. They don't want Cuba to return to the way of Batista.

  • @rednemesis88

sounds like you really know cuba before even going there. it's easy to support communism where it's affected without living there. where does 80% come from? you think cuba's not been in an economic depression? i'd like to know how many cars and buildings there aren't as old as 50+ years. i guess you haven't even seen panfilo shouting out "jama". generation y? do you not know why castro is trying get rid of 39 exiles and send them off to spain lately?

  • @rednemesis88 BS! They have Socialism because the people are deadly afraid of doing anything and entirely too hungry and too weak to even think of trying anything. The window for the people to take matters into their own hands passed a long, long time. Something that is unknown to those of you who pretend to know Cuba. Why don't y'all get a grip and try to fix your own problems - of which you have plenty - and let others resolve their own?

  • “Socialist dreams”of the elderly, ever wonder what this means?Get rid of material wealth&keep resources such as water&land which bring food &nutrition to survive.US, UK,Iceland, Spain,Greece economies are all sinking because they are not protecting natural basic resources.Wise people will work to keep&decentralize their resources such as water&energy.Exclude large international corporations.US is becoming more militant as people lose their livelihoods!Greed breeds war&war creates $ for elite.

  • its no better here, im going on 38 years old, no job because the economy is crippled, i havent even worked my trade as a pressman for 7 years now, i have been in and out of work and long periods of time of collecting unemployment and not being able to live a life that i was intended to.

i am watching alot of american born people turn to criminal activties to survive.

the american government is the evil empire that trashed so many of its citizens lives so it can fund its war mongering.

  • @tatude1972 Yo that may be but dont compare america to cuba atleast in america you have options and chances at making somthing happen with your life 95% of the people here turn to criminal activity beacuse they want fast money and jewlery and are not content with working a steady job and making slow money and dont tell me other wise cuz i've lived in the hood all my life and have sold drugs for that reason in cuba my people have to turn to criminals just to eat that night and thats the fact

  • @hustleharder1000 thats also the same thing here, i am from saginaw michigan.

saginaw, flint and detroit are GM towns that suffered horribly, the crime rate sky rocketed even since the auto industry failed, to the point where you cant even go to certain places anymore because of the drug addicted who are without work are always searching for means to feed their habits.

in america, millions of people right now dont have options because of the economy and i am not joking.

  • @hustleharder1000

america has got a very serious and violent drug problem, we have all types of organized crime syndicates that even operate right out of the hardest american prisons, that cause such severe problems within the states.

we are still in the throes of a nasty recession that robbed millions of people of their jobs and livelyhoods.

to give an example of severe 3rd world problems within this superpower of a country, study the city of detroit michigan and then you will see.

  • @tatude1972 Cuba has the same probem plus cuba has prostitution that in America is prohibited and Cuba has corruption in all branches of the government and military.Cubans prisons are hell.Political prisoners are treated like animals.American prisons is heaven compare to what you see in cuban prisons.Any convict in America eats better than the regular cuban. My cat eats better than a regular cuban.I have not seen millions of people without jobs by the way the economy is recovering.

  • @tatude1972 What you should do is tell the Cuban interior ministry where you come from to change the bullshit you are talking because you are not fooling anyone, you are just another UCI communist on line trying to deceive people worry about your country and the CAGA-ANDANTE that any day he would kick the bochet and all you commies are going to be running for yourlives.

  • @MRSCHUTZE1 me talking bullshit? go fuck yourself!!!!

why dont you go shove your hippie politricks up your ass since all i was doing was being nice and then i get assholes like you who step in thinking you know it all, when you dont know a damn thing about me or what i am experiencing.

fuck politics and most of all, fuck you.

dont ever accuse me of being something or tell me what to do you asshole so shut your mouth and mind your own damn business when it comes to me, got that?

  • @MRSCHUTZE1 dont you ever talk to me again and i am so (boo hoo!!) sorry for putting my 2 cents worth, you moron who is calling me a communist.

you are so freaking wrong and way off in what the hell is going on in your head about me, so just shut up and go the hell away!!!

  • @hustleharder1000 if you download a utility called virtual earth, it will allow you to view the world by satellite imagery, now view the city of detroit from above.

especialy the whole east side of detroit on how awful some places in america really are, for there are multiple and whole entire neighborhoods that are completely wiped out!!!

now this is from above, imagine what it looks like from ground level, its that bad.

  • @hustleharder1000 ever since the recession started to take people's jobs away, i have watched numbers of people turning to crime just to put a roof over their heads, these GM towns are perfect examples of that because of the failing auto industry.

about a couple of months ago in saginaw michigan, there was a illegal immigrant from honduras who was so desperate for food and shelter, that he deliberately started to bang on doors of peoples homes, so he could be deported back to central america.

  • @hustleharder1000 these are just some examples that america is dealing with some terrible 3rd world problems as well.

there are areas in the states where unemployment is at a all time high and the state of michigan has the worst economy and highest numbers of unemployed and its very evident.

i would not joke about this, there are people who lost everything that they worked for since the american occupation of iraq and alot of people have turned to criminal lives as well.

  • @tatude1972 At least friend you are having unemployment in Cuba, there is not unemployment you do not have a job there you do not eat.

  • @MRSCHUTZE1 i lost my job in december and had to fight with the system for 6 months to get my unemployment benefits back.

the temp service i worked for tried to get me to work at locations 30 miles away from minimum wage when my car was inoperable and had me cut off for untrue allegations that was a war of nerves to get back.

i junked the car and worked again for a few months till december of 2009, my GF supported me for the months of december and january.

i am real a slave here in america.

  • @MRSCHUTZE1 i was a pressman by trade and have not even ran a printing press for 7 years now.

i lost my job, lost a home i was paying for and been only able to afford from time to time, junk cars that would break down often.

my life for 7 years has not been right since...

i do not have a car anymore and living on borrowed time because there is no employment, i have multiple friends and family members who have skills who are also out of work or had to move away and still are not doing well.

  • @tatude1972 I understand what you have being through but you still are having options, you can not bring back the pass but you can work on your future, you should retrain on a more viable trade.I know that the unemployment office would help you but in a communist country added all those problems and on top of that you do not have any rights, you can not even own a vehicle, not even a junk car.My advise to you retrainMechanic, protection, heath care or food industry trust me there is always work.

  • @MRSCHUTZE1 i try not to be so mad for i guess at least i am not living some ghetto or even living in cuba, but i was lucky enough to move away from a battered and heavily crime infested/drug addicted GM town by the skin of my teeth but still i am not working and collecting just enough to get by to pay the bills.

im going to be 38 and sometimes these things get under my skin, for i am living like a peasant.

  • The country is a repressed country ruled by thugs and murderers. The same people that have advertised socialism for the last 51 years and has build a represive and corrupted empire, the Castro brothers two corrupted demagogic bastards and his corrupt generals. Those are the only people that live good in Cuba.

  • @MRSCHUTZE1 Very fucking true

  • @hustleharder1000 The problem is the communist have created an Estate exactly a replica of Soviet communism during the 1930's.They miscalculated the fact that soviet russia had the potential to create problems to the world.Russia's territorial space is huge,Cuba is really nothing on a map.Cuba before Castro created relations with everyone which created an stable economic country. Now look at this island ruled by the Communists since 1959,what have they achieved.NOTHING AT ALL!

  • wow the get capture and castro didnt give them a columbian neck tie and hang their heads in the middle of Havana? I thought he was satan.

  • You cannot progress in a society by mimicking the Evil structures of the Old dying decaying regimes of the past whether it be Communistic or Democratic because all of these movements have been controlled and co-opted by the Elite Superclass ie.the international bankers from the very begining with the lone Exception being the American Revolution of 1776. If you follow the will of the international banking cartel you are sowing the seeds of your own eventual detruction.

  • I really think Cuba is doing the right thing by encouraging performanced based incentives in the job sector. But by encouraging Homosexuals and sex tourism this is certainly going in the wrong direction. They should allow people to freely use and grow marijuana if they wish to.But not contraceptives,Homosexuality and i bet abortions will be next this is the plan of the globalists to destroy human society.

  • Are they representing majority of Cuban or just an other propaganda film?

  • @LouisC89 The majority off the cuban people is pretty poor, compared to american standards

  • USA should just just annex Cuba as their 51st state....Cuba would benefit greatly and ofcourse so would U.S.

  • @IMxYOURxDADDY I think that you are forgetting something: what do the Cuban people want to do.

  • If the Government of the U.S and the Government of Cuba smoke a joint along with a Cuban cigar together. All this can be resolved.

  • @Agent007202 A cuban Cigar with high quality MJ instead of tobacco as its core would be even better than a joint and a cigar seperately. ^_^

  • cuba trains doctors and let's them work in other countries. Not in the united states though, cause the american government has an embargo against cuba. Going to the states by boat is the only way you can most likely get in, where if successful they can claim refugee status.

  • Most of the clothing you most likely own comes from communist countries. It seems they don't make much money, but at least they have land and resource that they can live off. Like when was the last time you made a boat or a mattress? Im sure if you wanted to make a boat in cuba without any intension to leave you could.

  • cuba trains doctors and let's them work in other countries. Not in the united states though, cause the american government has an embargo against cuba. Going to the states by boat is the only way you can most likely get in, where if successful they can claim refugee status.

  • AlJazeera covers these places of the world because, Islam is planning to convert these countries.

  • Cuba would be a great economical power in latin america,,,,the biggest problem to the island is the fucking corrupted USA who doesn't let countries rule them selves..

  • @Claudinini

Cuba, like most latin American countries has no future.

  • When was the last time a bundle of intertubes full of Americans washed up on the shores of Cuba, trying to escape capitalism?

  • I admire the people who spoke at grave risk to themselves. A risk anyone takes in Cuba who expresses distaste for the current government. The Castro regime may have lightened up in some areas (which doesn't absolve the horrible crimes it committed) but is still one that denies freedom to its own people.

  • who cares about obama, bush, fidel or the rest of those idiots? These people are living miserably with no freedom..my god they hav to get boat supplies from black market just 2 go to the US! How the hell can anyone live a dying country like cuba?

  • fuck castro. fuck all.

  • How could socialists still think their system works? this is BS. Communist invent all this crap just to grab power

  • FUCK YOU CASTRO GTX

  • the embargo's must end. all they do is cause suffering for the cuban people.

  • Funny how it's mostly the white cubans that want to get out.

  • what are you trying to say ??

  • What am trying to say is that most white people like to exploit people.

The white mans way is, his company takes a few billion a quarter, and the staff gets minimum wage.

  • GOD Bless my Cuban people going thru a great struggle that the majority of the current Cuban population DID NOT ask for. If it wasnt for that bastard Fidel and the socialism that exists in that country for 50 years we wouldnt have the need to go anywhere cuz that place is a paradise that is decaying , Cubans are hard working people , ingenious , and struggle for the best . You have to go there and see the shit that is going on right now. Fuck you Fidel and Raul go Fuck each other in Hell .

  • 9:45, the guy says it all.

  • eso si que esta bueno

  • if there is a place i wanna visit is cuba...............i wanna see cuba free

  • I want to see AMERICA FREE...

oh, of course....you dont realize that we're not free...

Well, do some reading on the Patriot Act, the New World Order and the firm grip of the Bankers upon our lives...

Home ownership? HA!! We pay PROPERTY TAXES, which means we own NOTHING.

  • true but to compare the way we live to the way they live in cuba is just silly.

  • "True..."

the "but" simply does not matter. Is it really SO SILLY? Of course, one form of tyranny is easier to digest as long as your stomach is full.

    But it is STILL TYRANNY....

Like Benjamin Franklin said: Those who exchange freedom for security, deserve neither freedom NOR security.

  • no fan of the patriot act so you'll find no argument from me here. cheers.

  • We have something called DEMOCRACY you dumbshit Cuba does not... we have FREEDOM of speech Cuba does not, how could you think the the only difference is that our stomachs are full so we put up with the same type of tryanny....If you really have a problem get your ass off of Youtube and go get people in you neighborhood to agree with you on whatever issues you have, get them to sign a petition and write a letter to you congress man!! OR how bout you support the campaign for a candidate you like

  • You are not worthy of acknowledgment. Unlike your uneducated, emotional tirade has spouted...AMERICA IS NOT A 'DEMOCRACY.'

We have a TYRANNY- those of us who "own property" are merely TENANTS.

  • America is not a democracy really last time I saw we had elections.... and Im pretty sure your not in jail your comment!

No we are not merely Tenants. Though as a citizen and a home owner you have a responsiblity to your fellow man to PAY TAXES so that we can all share in the free services that city, state and federal government provide. Again if you dont like paying tax move to the South Dakota where they have veryy low tax rates.

  • Property Taxes is for the roads you use, the police, fire department, parks and recreation and other public services you dumbshit....if you want to make an argument on how we don't really own anything atleast make a good one.... try Eminent Domain

  • if you PAY someone else for your property, then you DO NOT OWN IT...You are merely a TENANT- you ignorant bafoon....

The "end" does not always "justify the means." There are other "means" by which to raise revenue for "roads and police."

    You're a MORON.

  • Property Taxes are for your municipality to function correctly. We have a government and taxes is how we pay for the services the government provide. You right we dont have absolute ownership. Whos gonna take out your trash, plow your streets, educate your childern. If you want to pay low taxes buy a piece of land in the middle of Montana or Wyoming which hardly charge any taxes.

  • @Perezr919

You can say the last word if you want....but the LOGIC of my reasoning has already defeated you.

You should look into countries that do not have property taxes-

Also, you should look into the Texas legislature and the propositions of some politicians. There are other ways to make revenue that does not infringe our PROPERTY RIGHTS.

**You are a brain washed bafoon...

  • if you want to live in a urban or suburben area you going to have to pay for the luxuries that most like you take for granted

  • Comment removed

  • In your world MrBiblia one owns there home in absolute and pays no taxes to the municipality in which they live. Sounds great IDEALLY! but Ideals are not often practical Good luck defending against burglars, educating your kids, protecting against fires, paving your streets, plowing your streets, going to a park, taking public tranportation, maintaining street lights and electrical poles, fixing water main breakages, etc. etc. etc.

  • @MrBiblia I'll tell you somtething right now. The U.S.A is a heck of a lot more free than cuba. Have you ever been to cuba?

  • long live Socialism!

  • JA ja ja,that cuban sitting on his rocking chair said that life is hard for hin....he has to see videos about Haiti, how people live there on the Bateys.

that is hard,Cuban are much better compare to Haitians or Dom Rep.

  • and why is it hard for Haitians?? What is the cause of your hardship? is it perhaps corruption? Is it perhaps greed? if a people stand together and stand for something they can overcome and overthrow just about anything and anybody JA??

  • It sad to see how many opinions come so easily to people that don't know what it is to live under a communist TIRANT DICTATOR. Sadly Fidel has taken my country from a 1st world to a 4th world in 50 years. It may take another 50 rs for Cuba to get back to where it was before his power hungry, oppressive, murderess ways killed the spirit of a great people. Those that are still there have to do anything they can to get food on the table. So don't talk about Cuba unless you have walked in our shoes.

  • @madwham Cuba 1952 - 20% permanently unemployed, 1.5% of the landowners controlling 46% of the land, 70% of the land being controlled by foreigners, 50% of the population with no electricity, 50% of the population living in shacks, 37% unable to read or write, infant mortality at a high, one billion dollars taken from the Cuban treasury and deposited in European & U.S. bank accounts. What about that is 1st world? You MUST be white.

  • @SupremePenguinTone

the usa can take ALOT of the blame when it comes to the woes of Cuba. Fidel can also take a lot of the blame. No country or man has the right to take that which does not belong to him and make it his own. Cuba belongs to the people of Cuba and they have the right to decide who shall lead them. Neither Fidel, nor America, can choose for the people. Maybe Cuba would have gotten it's act together in the late 50's, but we will never knw because Fidel took that away...

  • @madwham I'd say it was probably 70% America 30% Fidel. I'm not gonna sit here and act like the sun shines outta Fidel's ass but for the most part he has tried to make the Cuban's people standard of living as good as possible for everybody while maintaining good healthcare, education, security and so on.

  • @madwham Now look how Castro's living, compare him with the rest of the people in the island, not only him but the rest of his generals. You would see the difference,Castro supports his Generals because he knows they are the only ones that can get him outsted from power, that's the reason why they are so corrupted and Castro still on power. Some people place their own wellbeing over the nations wellbeing.

  • Long live Fidel Castro!

  • I hope he dies in the worst of pain long and dragged out and that he rots in hell!!!

  • seriously why would anyone say this?

  • Do the Cubans want the JEWS to take over their country? There are now only 5 nations on the world left without a Rothschild controlled central bank: Iran; North Korea; Sudan; Cuba; and Libya.

  • Evidence please.

  • what? were you born stupid or do you like acting that way??? Bloody hell!!!! Obviously you aren't living in any of those countries. People in Cuba don't try to cross shark infested waters because living under a communist regime is cake. Don't talk about what you don't know.

  • To madwham...The Domincan Republic is not communist, and they cross shark infested waters to Puerto Rico. Now, what is your reply to that ?

  • OMENSIC, my reply to that is: what the hell has the JEWS to do with anything? And Rothschild is an INDEPENDENT bank that serves the citizens of countries from Abu Dhabi to Zurich... sad that anybody needs to leave their country because of idiot rulers. it is their greed that is to blame, so blame them. Stop staring blindly and critisizing jews...maybe if you had money that wasn't taken from you by your greedy leader you would use the Rothschild system...... to buy a boat?????

  • The problem with most of the arguments in that i see online about Cuba is usually a Communist vs Capitalist I think that is this distracts us from the real argument... CUBA isn't a Half assed Communist regime it really is a Fidelist Dictatorship.

Dominican Republic has it own problems but they are free to vote and start businesses and if you ever been there you will see a developing country where are in Cuba nothing is being developed actually there is a decaying.

  • @omensic Well Puerto Rico is part of the US, maybe they see it as an easy gateway to the mainland

  • i know, and the jews have help from space aliens and the illuminati so they're like invincible!

  • Shut up you cunt

  • FREDOM!

  • Maybe if this idiot stoped spending all his money on boat materials they might be a bit better off....

  • I think Castro said those things at the begining of the revolution. He had no idea how cruel the US was going to be by imposing this debilitating and illegal embargo. So Castro made a mistake. He can't predict the future. But as far as third world countries go, he did help the workers and farmers of the island live better than the lower classes in other impoverished countries- with whatever little resources they had.

  • Yes he did say those things at the begining but he also ment it.the fact of the matter is,is castro is a comunist and that he is not doing good buy cuba and that he could change it now and make the econamy MUCH better than hes doing now but hes greedy and wants more money thats why he only makes the touresty areas of cuba nice...thats where he makes his money but you cant make ppl understand so its what ever.

  • have you ever been to cuba? if you go, you'll see a few things to open your eyes about the cuban government. for example, a cuban can only open certain kinds of businesses, and is heavily taxed if they do, taxed so heavily that it's almost impossible to make any kind of substantial profit. but, a foreign investor can come there and do what they want, driving mercedes around in front of the faces of locals who are struggling to get by. fuck castro and his croonies.

  • talking like a capitalist, the idea is not to make profits but to secure the human neeeds thats wat socialism is...not to make businesses for profits but to provide the neccesary thngs human needs to survive.

  • i guess you didn't actually read what i wrote. people are barely getting what they need to survive, go there and talk to people if you want to find out. they have to run illegal side businesses, scam tourists, and buy necessities on the black market. MEANWHILE you have segregated beaches and hotels that only tourists can go to, and FOREIGN investors/businesses can come in and do what citizens cannot. it's almost impossible for cubans to get visas to visit other countries, know why?...(cont.)

  • ...because it's a fact that almost every time a cuban leaves cuba, THEY NEVER COME BACK. thanks.

  • oh and one more thing. you'll never have a cuban posting from cuba contributing to this discussion, know why? because they're not allowed to have the internet. but as a tourist, i can surf the net at my hotel (which, like i said, cubans aren't even allowed to stay at).

  • @BillKiernan

God help a Cuban if he lets it slip that he doesn't like Castro or the government. He disappears. His family disappears. Only good things can be said. Kinda like that Twighlight Zone episode, that's what happened when little Fidel got his island to play God with.

  • thanks, finally someone who can see beyond idealism. I mean, in the realm of ideals, the cuban revolution was awesome. i'm all for the underdog taking on the little guy and winning. and the rhetoric of everything being for "the people" and everyone working together etc, it's all great. unfortunately the reality is the old cliche, absolute power corrupts absolutely, and what you get is like you said, Fidels island kingdom.

  • i meant "the underdog taking on the big guy"

  • god help the world from american fascists

  • as much as I'm pro-socialism, the fact so many Cubans try to leave, shows how much they need some changes

  • yes the embargo should stopped

  • the mother is right...

  • ELEMENTRY27...I think you deserve an answer to the best of my knowledge. (That happens to be above the average.) 1-Castro never belong to the regular communist party known in Cuba like the PSP 2- Castro background in revolution and socialism was based in gangsters activities in the Havana university

  • you sound like you have strong arguments but its hard to believe because around the world the history and event had being change and manipulated in a extreme way

    so i still support socialism

  • 1- Castro never wanted to be a member of the PSP because those "communist" were armchair revolutionists. They talked about communism but did nothing to make it happen. 2- When you say "gangster" you mean the student protestors, right?

  • 3- It was involved in at least 4 life attacks against his gangs enemies (this was NEVER the way of the Cuban communists) 4- Castro join the reactionaries elements in Cuba to overthrow the government of the Dominican republic inspired by the money offers made by government officials.

  • 3- please name these 4 enemies. 4- Define these "reactionary elements" and what does it matter if Truijo's assasins were paid or not, what is important is that Truijo is no longer in power.

  • 5- Castro, when taking power dissolved the Communist party and create his own ORI. 6- Castro got in trouble with the Soviet Union because his persecution of communists- 7- The leader of the true communist party in Cuba, and all of his people were send to jail (some still there) 8-The Escalantes brothers, real communists trained in the Soviet Union, were accused of sedition and pretending to establish a COMMUNIST?? regimen in Cuba under Castro.

  • 5- Actually there were three seperate political parties and they all decided to join and become the one same party the island has today. 6- Those same "communists" were the armchair revolutionists that I mentioned before and they tried to impose these anti-progressive policies that were the same in the USSR- which are anti-proleterian. Some of these "communists" were imprisoned for trying to overthrow the government. 8- anibal escalante was trained in a country that called itself commi really no

  • Rednemesis; You probably have information published by the present of the Cuban yellow press. Yes, " Yellow". Castro's regime is a sophisticated extreme right dictatorship disguised as socialist. The answer to all your questions can be found in any library of the world (except the Cubans one} Look the newspapers from 1959 to 1964, the government ones. About the advances that the PSP give to the best working legislation in the world read the Cuban press from the 40s and 50s.

  • 9- The main revolutionaries in Castros army disappeared (Camilo) were killed by Castros people (Naranjo), jailed (Matos) or betrayed (Che) 10- Castro did not took the country, Batista run away and left the army in charge, Castro offer to let those people in their positions in exchange for Unity. Maneuvering with politic Castro eliminated the old guard and developed his own military organization. Keeping his own figure as center of command like Hitler and Stalin did.

  • Castro named (not even trained) not less that 450 officials that never were guerrillas, mainly political figures that were his unconditional. In the battle of Bahia of Pigs, the ones that make more harm were the artillery (under a former Batista captain, then promoted to Commander) and the former pilots of Batista that join Castro. The guerrilla army did have only one pilot that happens to be a CIA operative that deserted from Cuba and comeback to attack his former allied in Pigs.

  • lets all suppor cuba and lets say no to the embargo
