hey im thinking of playing a bear shaman but im worried that they will be getting pwned in late game pvp because they are a healer in melee range thus every man/woman and his/her dog/child/cat/penguin will be focussing them.
I have watched your HoX video also and now I have a question for you: Why do you like the Bear Shaman better even though you pwn at HoX? Im asking since I have a hard time deciding if I should be Bear Shaman or HoX. What makes the Bear shaman more fun? And also: I've played Bear Shaman to lvl 12 and it doesn't seem to be able to handle more than a maximum of 2 mobs at the same time (which are the same lvl). Does that get better? Can u handle more mobs later on?
I just like the concept of bear shaman a bit better than HoX, i think it suits me better. My main in live is a bear shaman, i'm level 45 and yes, i can handle quite a few more than 2 mobs my level (heals at low level [ below 25 ] are extremely gimp). That said, i love HoX, and it will deffinatly be my first alt :P

Well, this game is Age of Conan, Middle age / Fantasy, u dont get these úber cuul World of Warcraft gears whit alot of spikes and shiny things whit lazer flowing and flame spiral behind ur back, as far as i know they ofc look alot better but not unreal like i just showd so i belive golden chest whit little art and feathers and stuff not sure :)
thats correct, the gear was speciffically created for each class just for this weekend. There are over 15,000 different sets of armor in this game, you prolly wont see to many ppl running around looking exactly the same in the retail version :P
I did take a small bit of Dark Templar footage. The fatality in the beginning of this video is my dark templar. I'll go check my raw footage right now and see if i have some nice stuff for a video... i seem to remember getting pwned alot when i was recording. Not cause DT is a bad class, but mostly cause my team didnt feel like sticking together. Staying alive in this game is much more about playing as a team, than individual skill. Though, 1 on 1, individual skill is a huge advantage :P

As far as bugs, there were a few minor ones. Mostly graphical bugs, like players turning bald while they stealthed or something. There was one bad glitch, where you could walk under the map, and ranged attack ppl through the floor. The devs know of this and have assured us it would be taken care of. To see a sweet video of this, search Age of Conan Glitch. BTW, I'm the HoX that pwns him at 2:08 :P
Toughest class for any melee I would say is Tempest of Set, because of their root and stun.
Not missing much... except a charge really. Though, charge isnt so useful, see, when you charge, it uses stamina based on how far away your opponent is, and as a melee class, you may charge someone, and then realize you lost all your stamina and have no way to perform combos :/. So, bear shams are pretty well rounded and awesome. Great healing, and good sustained and burst dps (with the right spec). I'm deffinatly rolling a bear sham for my main :)
healing for just as much as the Tempest of Set and the Priest of Mitra. And the dps is pretty great. With just the 12 feat points we got in the beta, I went in the spirit tree. you get this feat that improves you glyph of healing (or something like that) ability. So that when you use it, Your next attack is +70% damage. I would start the armor break combo, and before pressing the final direction, I used this ability, then finished the combo for massive damage. Tons of damage even to soldiers.
Rangers have since had their damage nerfed ( I believe that the game had an itemization bug where they received a much higher level bow on accident).
Over all Bear Shaman require a large amount of skill, in fact this guy rocks, they not only have to monitor their stamina but also their mana and still have to keep themselves weaving in and out of combos so they don't get killed.
thats correct, the bow they were using was bugged and dealing a lot of damage. this footage is from day 1, they were fixed on day 2 and the game was much more enjoyable :)

they're both good. bear sham is a great melee healer, ToS, a great ranged healer. Thought ToS is a bit overpowered.

It's the cone heal over time. You dont target individual players with heals, they're AoE or they effect players in a cone in front of you :P

Excluding the Rangers having a better bow and the Assasins stackin there dmg
And what in your oppinion was the hardest class for you to kill (So i make sure my mates dont roll that char and beat me:P)

healing for just as much as the Tempest of Set and the Priest of Mitra. And the dps is pretty great.
