  • your only as good as your last weld.dont matter if your 19 or 50

  • @elainmac u ain't kidding! nobody cares how good you were on the last job. if you can't cut it on this job you're GONE

  • Down hand pussy...

  • ur and idiot, hes a PIPELINER!!!!!!! downhill is a must on the pipeline fuckstick

  • Hi, does anyone know where I can recruit some PipeWelders for a current project we have in SC? I need around 20, testing is required before hire. Call me and I will give you testing details...803-354-4214

  • Watch what ur saying about young welders, not all of us are like that. I'm only 19 and I've worked damn hard to get the skill I have. It pisses me off that that older welders think we don't know anything because were young. I've been to numerous state welding championships using the skills I have. Hell, I can match my pipe welding teacher bead for bead and I'm damn proud of that. So watch ur damn mouth and get the facts before u start shootin ur mouth off.

  • hes just jealous cuz we are the next best generation welders, im also 19 too

  • Shame on the younger welders these days, nice shiny rigs, all talk no show, just worried about how much the pay is, not worried about the quality of work or putting in the time to earn a days pay, will switch contractors for a 10 cent raise at a drop of a hat. What a shame! I haven't failed an x-ray in over 7 years. Real welders learn from mistakes and improve so it don't happen again. Also, you follow welding procedures when you first took the welding test.

  • Im 19 and I just got my 6010 6G 2inch open root, 6G 2inch tig, and 6G 2inch stainless all tssa and passed x ray. I worked my ass off for a year and I still have 2 weeks left to get ready for union testing. I also had an amazing teacher who had alot of faith in me. so I dont agree with what your saying.

  • test day comes and goes its on the job you have 2 do it every day.welding a 20 inch ,,,,160 ,twisted up like a pretzel.

  • why u hating if anything u should be trying to help up an coming welders yeah u get some that dont care but thats not all of them it takes dedication and love for the art so dont steriotype all young welders ttreat each one on there own work ethics holla

  • shut up u dumb ass! Not everyone is like you son and cousins!

  • looks like fun!

  • you want to turn your amperage down. i assume after you do your root you hit it with the grinder to clean that slag out, so the metal you just put down would be a little thin. turn your ampereage down so you don't blow through...

  • Can I ask a question? I have just begun to practice pipe welding and am starting with the most basic pipe. It is a 6" with a downhill procedure using a 6010 rod. I was wondering how much more heat is required when doing the hot pass after the root pass is completed? Thanks for any info!!

  • Is pipe welding better paid than other weldings?

  • yep. A lot more

  • THATS ALOTA FUCKIN WELDING

  • i wouldnt want anypart of a pipe lager than 12inches, non.................(yes i know my name is spelt wrong some one already had excalibur so i out an e)

  • anything larger than 12" is almost like welding flat. And 7018 is a rod that is easy to use. I like 6011

The weld looks like shit but the pieces don't need to be clean or anything

  • go back to welding school you worm hahahaha

  • I was thinking of TIG welding lol, so that's just stick yea? and the same sorta thing can be applies with filling the pipe of with Argon to give the inside weld a better finish?

  • Prevents sugaring

  • Is that where you fill the pipe up with argon and run 2 welds down the parallel 45 degree edges of the pipe ends?

  • 30" carbon pipe

1st pass argon and 4 large passes up with basic rods

4 hrs for the weld with 2 welders

  • 1st pass 6010?

  • hahah one handed! woo! I'm thinking my specialty in weldeing is going to be doing the pipes.
