I mean, why would anyone buy a ChromeOS laptop? It boots instantly, and everything is in the cloud. Very useful for people who have very few requirements. Like low cost computers for schools etc.
@mortenlu But there are many issues that Google have to solve before it becomes a real alternative. First, they have to solve the driver problem. Meaning it needs enough consumers for hardware makers to bother making drivers. Then people need their essential apps like skype, spotify, remote desktop etc. that does not exist as web apps.
Maybe Google is waiting to launch to develop it more and release music and movie streaming, but is there any real reason not just to put Android on a netbook?

More likely scenario: Chrome OS dies. Some Chrome OS functionality gets ported to Android.
