  • You make me love this artform! very good video! thumbs up :)

  • Thanks for these videos. Now I need to find out where to get these ink sticks, and grinding stone in my city. It seems like the most economical and, neat way to prepare the ink since it can last for a long time. 10 years for one ink stick you said in another video!!

Thanks a lot for these videos. We learn something new everyday, and this is definitely something I'll remember, and try to get.

  • From Lisbon, thanks for your time.

  • i do enjoy the smell of the ink! my mom walked in on me sniffing the ink stone, and the look she gave me was hilarious! she thinks i'm crazy now! lol!

  • to put on ur brush to do calligraphy i think

  • ffff

Well, yeah, of course. But I was asking why grind it, as opposed to using what's naturally there, and I got my question answered.

  • Question time from your friendly neighbourhood Yoshiman.

Apparently the function of an inkstick is to grind ink. But... what is the reason for grinding ink?

  • Hey neighbour,

After you get too much electro music, you want to cool down. There you go, grind ink.

Homemade is always the best. Grinding ink, you get the most suitable consistency and thickness as you desire.

  • Electronic music is my creation tool. I can never have too much. :P

So, grinding ink is just a method to get a better working ink that works with your papers the way you choose? That seems like a good idea, I've never heard of that.
