The reason Hasbro won't release BeyPointers is cuz in Japan people would stockpile them and put them on one Pointer and get limited edtion/rare stuff that costed like 500,00 points with out breaking a sweat while others actually battled to get their points and Hasbro doesn't want that happening to us in the U.S.

A note on beypoints for the unknowing:

Japan has gotten away from beypointers, they now use the cards. You can take the cards to the same Video Arcade machines. You battle against the machine and if you win you get points to use to buy rare official gears.
