Screw you all you naysayers. Echo Park is a great area, strategically located on the north western perimeter of downtown LA. I have lived here for a year and I love it! Remarkably uncongested, fairly quiet, and virtually at the convergence point of every major freeway in LA, except the 405 (which sucks anyway)
I love how they all try to mislead the LA transplants by claiming that Echo Park is a good area. Its a fucking DUMP. You WILL get raped and robbed then raped again in Echo Park. Its full of idiot trust fund hipster wannabes that have moved into a BARRIO and claim its "cool and trendy". Yeah...a drunk mexican pissing on your front porch in the morning and a gang banger putting aknife to your face at night...real "trendy".
