  • I first heard Soul of a Wanderer on Marc Gunn's podcast a couple of years ago and fell in love with this song. I have been trying to find the sheet music for it. Can anyone help me on how to find it??..Please....

  • I love the banjo! It reminds me of my Granddad. All us grandchildren (10 of us) loved it when he would bring it out to play for us. Jed has such a sweet, and soothing singing voice and a wonderful way of storytelling with his songs.

  • great song

  • i like your music very nice i was wondering what the name of the cd is that has the song the lone chimney

  • The song in this video in which I sing about the "lone chimney" has not yet been published. It is not on any of my CDs. I wrote it for the Lone Chimney Film, BLACK FLAG which expects to film next year.

  • Great Song !! Great Sound !

    God Bless !

  • ma che bravo che sei........complimenti sinceri......sei coinvolgente e ascoltarti è vivere le tue realta' geografiche cosi'..distanti dalle mie..ma cosi' ..vicine.....Grazie di cuore!*****

  • How can anybody not love Jed's gorgeous and beautiful music? I hope and pray that I get to see him in concert some day. And I want to get all his albums some day. "Miles from home" is still my favorite Jed song.

  • Awesome

  • Great EPK!

  • Thanks!

  • You seem to be really passioned for your music.

  • Super. Sorry to be so late in viewing this, but glad I finally could get to it. It's great. I remember the shoot at Trinity Hall. I think your guitar and banjo expertise are both superb. ~~Cheers, Donna

  • You done us proud, son

  • Jed - I remember the NTIF benefit at the Pig & Whistle in Ft. Worth years ago. I stand by the fact that when I heard you perform in the group you were with then - I immediately thought the guy on the banjo is really good. Then you got your guitar and sang some songs on your own - it confirmed my first impression. I have truly enjoyed watching you evolve. The documentary is very fun. SOOO fun seeing Travis and Connie! See you in the Spring...keep doing what you're doing. It's wonderful!!!

  • As usual all your songs show your passion for music. I really liked this documentary

  • Great stuff! Love the music and the video production is top notch.

  • Great clip. I haven't gotten Sands of Aberdeen yet...but it's on my list.

  • Jed, this was such a treat. Your voice and instrumental expertise is such a great combination. I'm so glad that you were here in Tilden and that we've had the opportunity to meet you. The 'story song' has been my favorite since I was a little kid (many, many moons ago). You do it better than anyone. Dixie

  • Great video! Is that Brian McNeill playing on the opening track?

  • Yes - Good ear! That is Brian McNeill playing on the opening track. The song is "Soul of a Wanderer" and we recorded that in 2002, with Paul Mills, producing in Toronto, ONT.

  • You just get better and better.

  • you're awesome! Thank you so much for coming and sharing your melodies and lyrics (and the classics that you incorperate) with Northfield School. Keep up the great work!

  • Thanks Jed for continuing to share the fabulously rich stories in song that you craft so carefully. I hope many more people learn of your great talent through this latest project.

  • you're awesome! thank you so much for coming and sharing you beautiful melodies and lyrics (and the classics that you incorperate) to Northfield School.

  • What a treat! Thank you for the link. Power Lunch Productions did a great job of mixing the material. Your songs, as aways, are wonderful and real stand outs due to the quality of the work you produce and its high entertainment value.

    All the best,

    Elaine

  • Now that is some fine music. Great to see it on Youtube.

  • I dont care what Al says it sounds bloody great.

  • Thank you so much for sending me this Jed. if tradtional music has a future at all - you must be it!

You have what Hemingway called a 'simple declarative style' - it just tells the story with skill and with subtlety - but not drawing attention to the remoteness of the experience or the inaccessibility where the story comes from. I hope this video and the album makes you a load of new friends all round the world.

    best wishes
