P-Funk has not been the same for a few years now. It will be a lot different without Garry, the true leader of "The P-Funk Allstars" Sort of like Jerry gone from the Greatful Dead.
thank goodness the gimmicks are gone and Michael 7 Gary get to shine. So glad he stopped listening to the wrong voice that was telling him the diaper was a good idea.

@JaffeCree thanks for letting me know. This was sad news. From a selfish standpoint, I think it is really impossible for it to be the same without Garry, just like if George was no longer there. We saw them in February and he brought it as usual.
@JaffeCree thanks man. Glad to get some vid of Garry out there in something other than a diaper! Shared some good times with him at pre-show tailgates.
@nosyfieldstone Well Brother, from my own "selfish standpoint", I'm finish with the P-Funk. The "mothership" may continue to fly all over the world, but without Starchild, I really don't wanna ride. Let them "placebos" ride on!
@6402680 You can't do that man! Garry will be missed most definitely but what about Bernie, Billy Bass, Bootzilla, and most importantly GEORGE? Plus Kendra whose song this was is HOT and rising! Gotta keep supporting!
Yeah, it was a Kendra set right before the p-funk allstars so I guess he could get by with it! He was in full diaper for the p-funk set. But I really enjoyed this set because they did "I'll Stay" and "Baby, I owe you something good". Never saw p-funk do those in concert.
To hear Gary play always sends chills down my spine,Micheal is awesome too, then George finds Ms.Kendra she is heaven sent. This is truly a FUNKADELIC RIFF. FUNKADELIC 4 LIFE
Yeah, he got rid of the dreads. Had a bit of a mohawk. Came out in the diaper for the main p-funk set. He played best with his back to the crowd. Last time at this venue he came out to our tailgate and had chicken and beer with us.
Yeah, back in the day, late 70's Garry used to do a little more lead then he fell back to being mostly a singer and some rhythm guitar. It was good to see him get back on it so I started vid in the middle of the song.
He could play the guitar sooo much better when he turned away from the audience. You edited the first part where he totally messed up. Still, he's good. Much better than I could ever be. Awesome that you recorded this moment. Thanks a bunch!
Classic stuff. Not a lot of folks will appreciate it, but the one's that do will owe you a debt of gratitude, Thank you so much. I have some Dave Matthews/Tim Reynolds recordings that I made with a Sony MiniDisc recorder back in the day. I hope a handful of people will appreciate it.

@6402680 yeah, it's not like they can put somebody else in the diaper. Not to mention Garry's vocals and guitar playing.

Dammit, I wouldn't have recognized Garry at all. Never seen him with his clothes on before. Plus his haircut seems to be new too.
Thanks for this!
