"Divine Intervention" was sort of a disappointment when it was originally released, but considering now what came after, DI can certainly be considered the last true Thrash album by Slayer, and a solid one at that.

Kerry gave me a personal guitar lesson for a lead about which i asked him in 2001, with a prototype 7 string Warlock with his tribal graphic on it. The thing I love about Slayer is also the thing I don't like: they don't change. They have been churning out super fast thrash for years, which is why I think Diabolus is my favorite album. Mid-paced grooves like the intro to Bitter Peace make the fast thrash shit sound that much faster and violent. But Slayer still kicks ass.
