  • About ten years ago I watched the VHS from beginning to end. It was so cheesy! The toyline sucked, too. None of the four characters that they made looked anything like their animated counterpart, and the swivel connectors would rather break than allow you to disassemble what you made with them because they'd rather break. It would have been a great building to if it had been engineered for sturdiness, but mine were broken Christmas Day.

  • @scottandrewhutchins being the nerd child i was, i wrote to milton bradley with the broken parts and they actually sent me improved versions for free.

  • @gonzobrains I did that, too. I never heard from them. I even had a manual typewriter to write it on back in those days.

  • Robotics was awesome...it dealt with something most cartoons dont. the two opposing side were kinda racist against each other

  • Wow! Just found out about this through Ashens.

Strange, can't say I remember it!

  • A poor man's version of the Transformers. Even the Go-bots were better than these guys.

  • Even in the intro the good guys get thrashed!

  • Sounds like scientology, did a young John Travolta write this?

  • The theme seems like a blatant mashup of Ghostbusters and Transformers

  • I remember this show. The good guys always seemed to get their butts kicked on every episode

  • i remember watching this as part of super sundays on wpix 11 back in 84. But damn the good guys got their asses kicked so much that i really began to like the bad guys more. especially since they had better bots. anyone remember INHUMANOIDS? THATS the third cartoon. Jem and the holograms began airing weekday afternoons after airing on sundays as full episodes for a bit.

  • Robotix, Bigfoot, and Jem! HELL YEAH!

  • I'm sorry but, as The Rock put it, this cartoon absolutely SUCK!

  • This has been racking my brain for years. A cartoon about people who put their brains into robot dinosaurs or something. Knew it wasn't me , but it sure took long enough to prove it. Thanks for Loading this.

  • forgot abt this

  • is it just me or is anyone reminded of the ghostbusters theme just by hearing this... imean there kinda similar sounding

  • Wow, alien robots waging a war of good and evil who have the power to transform! It's just like that other show, Jem!

  • I remember trying to make those robots out of a Lego set, memories.

  • brings back memorys

  • Theme sounds vaguely like the Ghosts Busters song....

  • My god, this takes me back.

  • Whoa!! 80's flashback BIG time! I've been lookiing for this intro for a long time!

  • I've been having dreams in my sleep at night. Dreaming of watching additional episodes of Robotix and Bigfoot. And I want that to happen in real life someday!!

  • the internet makes things that were unpopular in the past, popular today. i'd hope that someone who graduated from college with animation skills or producer's credentials could outright buy the rights to this and re-do it. the internet (the world's viewers) demands it!!

  • any one kinda hear the ghostbusters theme in the back?

  • Excellent Toons I remember those

  • Everyone has seemed to forgotten that Inhumanoids was also part of the 'Super' line up with Jem, Bigfoot and Robotix.

  • I used to have the toys for this! You actually did have to click/snap the pieces together and they had a remote control. I liked making my creations fight each other.

Then again, I was six years old.

  • Super intro, wanna hear it live!:d

  • 0:25-0:27 makes me laugh

  • I'm a 28 years old girl who LOVES horror movie and got an iron stomach for ugly scenes from them - but! This cartoon series was the ONLY thing in this world that made me throw up! I was an 8 years old girl and never been more scared in my life from another movie like that. And today I can finally make a closure to confront this horror series as a grown woman who fears nothing that's on screen.

Man, I just know that it will be just a joke to see it now, but you can never tell.

  • The other cartoon I think might have been Jem

about a rock star and this big Computer that could do next to anything kind of far out even for today yes I'm a straight Guy and I watched it too lol

    the girls were kinda pretty

  • Transformers ripoff.

  • Actually it wasn't a ripoff. Robotix was a toy robot set in which a person could customize their own robot. It was made by Milton Bradley. The R 1000 and the R 2000 series. All you have to do is go on Ebay. The cartoon was made in response to the success of the toy not the transformer's cartoon.

  • Hello Transformers Announcer? Crazy.

  • After 12 years of searching i finally founded it by accident.

    THANK YOU GOD!

  • @AchillesRageHoF: YOU ARE WELCOME! o_O

  • God ..?! :-O

  • Yes?

  • i had those toys, they were super fun,i had 3 motors\engins devices that made my creations move their heads or neck or legs depending on what i built(i made mostly dinos or animals& i had 3 different sets),i don't remember what happend to them but i remember spending hours playing with the toys.such good memories!i think my mom got rid of them because it was expensive constantly buying the batteries for just a toy!

  • Always wanted these toys but they were too expensive to get my folks to buy them for me.

I did have the comic book though...

  • Comment removed

  • I was a kid watching this cartoon.

  • Ironically, the Robotix building set line, in the beginning, didn't have any story behind it...just names like R-2000, R-1000 etc.

  • I hate this show but love the opening theme!

  • I noticed that the narrator from the show's intro is Victor Caroli; the exact same narrator for the original Transformers show.

  • You are right Yo

  • this cartoon fucking rock

  • I think Protectons and Terracores are awsome names.

  • Poebably the only Cartoon Opening where the good guys lose all fights.

  • yup

  • Rather odd.

  • You know I never tthought about that but you're absolutely right.

  • Yes, usually it is the good guys winning atleast once.

  • WOW! That was cheesey as SHIT!

    Robotix SUCKS!

    Transformers RULE!

  • The toys were more like K'Nex though. You could build walking robots with them. Much cooler than Transformers toys.

  • I this cartoon on VHS :D

  • hehe same here and after that Transformers the Movie :D

  • that theme sounds awfully familiar to the Ghostbusters

  • Also, the narrator is the same one from Transformers (at least the original movie anyway).

  • you are right. The narrator's name is Victor Caroli. He also did the Transformers pilot and Season 3 G1 episodes as well.

  • this cartoon looks like a pile of wank

  • actually.. i have to agree with you on that one.. seems like a transformers rip off to sell toys and nothing more.. which is what Transformers was. but Transformers was GOOD

  • What's so odd about the starting is that the

good guys are getting there butts kicked.

  • Probably the only Intor where the good guys get their butt kicked by the bad guys.

  • I could very easily see the Transformers crossing over with this. Why they didn't do a TF tie-in with this series I'll never know.

  • is that the narrorator from transformers?

  • Yes it is. His name is Victor Caroli.

  • @sixpackgenius : Victor Caroli OWNS.

  • @sixpackgenius Isn't he dead now, or I mistaken?

  • @sixpackgenius i beleive he did inhumanoids too

  • the announcer is the same guy who did transformers, what a rip off

  • So are all the voice actors and even the background music, just like GIJoe, it's called being made by the same company

  • the music is just a ripoff of ghost busters

  • It sounds a bit like the Ghostbusters theme.

  • I agree. But more of a hitech beat.

  • Yeah, you're right.

  • Not a rip-off. It just sounds like the Ghostbusters Theme with a Hi-Tech beat

  • I want Robotix to have additional episodes! Along with Super Sunday on DVD. Including with its commercial bumpers.

  • I'm too lazy to read, but it was Robitix, Bigfoot and Jem, then Inhumanoids came in, but for a while there was street frogs

  • I loved Robotix. I remember it came on UPN on Sundays with Jem and inhumanoids.

  • Isn't that Roger Carmel saying "Who puts the future in your hands?"?

  • The narrator sounds like the one from The Transformers; positive it's the same guy.

  • OH MY GAWD, i remember this i even had one of those robot things with a little puppet in it lol.. i was like a small kid back then still living in amsterdam wow... im bookmarking it.

  • i was 5 y/o when i first saw this cartoon..

  • Ghostbusters!!! (listen to the music...)

  • Man, I love those 80's cartoons. This one was rather underrated, but it was good.

  • Hey the other seven minute show was inhumanoids

  • Robotix is avaliable on DVD as 'Robotix The Movie' however it's only avaliable from the UK in Region 2 PAL format. But the DVD is quite cheap though.

  • I'm sure hopefully Sony will release a DVD for the US/Canada market. Oh BTW this was part of 'Super Saturday' or 'Super Sunday' depending on which day it was on, but personally I like to call it 'Super Sunbow'. Robotix was cut into severn minutes and was shown with Bigfot and the Muscle Machines, Inhumanoids and Jem.

  • This....is a blast from my non existient past.

  • I want Super Sunday and the revised movie of Robotix released on DVD now! We must have Shout! Factory release them on DVD. We should also must let them to include "Robotix:Battle Of The Future will return after these messages...And now back to Robotix:Battle Of The Future!" for the Robotix movie on DVD. We also want them to do the same for the Super Sunday TV cartoon series. Just like they did for The Super Mario Brothers Super Show!

  • it was jem bigfoot and robotix or sometimes theyd show inhumanoids.

  • Oh my god! I remember this as a trailer on a muppets video i used to have! lol.xxx

  • Dang I remember this when I was kid!!! IN the 80's!!

  • Nice, very similar to Ray Parker Jr. Ghostbusters theme ;-)

Inhumanoids, the evil that lies within! I'd usually just watch the Bigfoot portion only. Robotix and Inhumanoids used to scare me.

  • Yes, the ROBOTIX theme does indeed sound like the Ghostbusters theme with different lyrics.

  • Both Peter Cullen (Optimus) and Frank Welker (Megatron) were in on this too...as they were with the Monchhichi cartoon, which I will confess I have never seen.

  • And that's the same narrator from Transformers if I'm not mistaken.

  • You have a good ear! Yes that is Victor Caroli who did the Transformers cartoon.

  • And Neil Ross and Michael Bell had parts in this too if I'm not mistaken. :)

  • Of course, they did. They did like how many Marvel Produtions Ltd/Sunbow show's together??? I will say this, Michael Bell portrayel of Bruce Banner was awesome. The 80's Incredible Hulk animatd series showcased Banner getting out of certaint situation's on his own. Every other portrayel of Banner often mimic's the Bill Bixby version of the Character.

  • Man i Loved this show even tho they had the cartoons on odd rotation

  • Yes I'm a nerd, but here's some closure:

it was Bigfoot and The Muscle Macchines 'They're big bad dirty and mean!'

the other cartoon was Jem and the holograms -the songs weren't bad!

  • Thanks, I was wondering what that third cartoon was.

  • Sometimes the jem and the holograms don't show up and they show the Inhumannoids instead.

  • @abdullateefmartin By The Way Thank you for the valuable Info it Helped me Bring back memories.
