About ten years ago I watched the VHS from beginning to end. It was so cheesy! The toyline sucked, too. None of the four characters that they made looked anything like their animated counterpart, and the swivel connectors would rather break than allow you to disassemble what you made with them because they'd rather break. It would have been a great building to if it had been engineered for sturdiness, but mine were broken Christmas Day.
@scottandrewhutchins being the nerd child i was, i wrote to milton bradley with the broken parts and they actually sent me improved versions for free.
i remember watching this as part of super sundays on wpix 11 back in 84. But damn the good guys got their asses kicked so much that i really began to like the bad guys more. especially since they had better bots. anyone remember INHUMANOIDS? THATS the third cartoon. Jem and the holograms began airing weekday afternoons after airing on sundays as full episodes for a bit.
This has been racking my brain for years. A cartoon about people who put their brains into robot dinosaurs or something. Knew it wasn't me , but it sure took long enough to prove it. Thanks for Loading this.
I've been having dreams in my sleep at night. Dreaming of watching additional episodes of Robotix and Bigfoot. And I want that to happen in real life someday!!
the internet makes things that were unpopular in the past, popular today. i'd hope that someone who graduated from college with animation skills or producer's credentials could outright buy the rights to this and re-do it. the internet (the world's viewers) demands it!!
I used to have the toys for this! You actually did have to click/snap the pieces together and they had a remote control. I liked making my creations fight each other.

I'm a 28 years old girl who LOVES horror movie and got an iron stomach for ugly scenes from them - but! This cartoon series was the ONLY thing in this world that made me throw up! I was an 8 years old girl and never been more scared in my life from another movie like that. And today I can finally make a closure to confront this horror series as a grown woman who fears nothing that's on screen.
Man, I just know that it will be just a joke to see it now, but you can never tell.
Actually it wasn't a ripoff. Robotix was a toy robot set in which a person could customize their own robot. It was made by Milton Bradley. The R 1000 and the R 2000 series. All you have to do is go on Ebay. The cartoon was made in response to the success of the toy not the transformer's cartoon.
i had those toys, they were super fun,i had 3 motors\engins devices that made my creations move their heads or neck or legs depending on what i built(i made mostly dinos or animals& i had 3 different sets),i don't remember what happend to them but i remember spending hours playing with the toys.such good memories!i think my mom got rid of them because it was expensive constantly buying the batteries for just a toy!
actually.. i have to agree with you on that one.. seems like a transformers rip off to sell toys and nothing more.. which is what Transformers was. but Transformers was GOOD
OH MY GAWD, i remember this i even had one of those robot things with a little puppet in it lol.. i was like a small kid back then still living in amsterdam wow... im bookmarking it.
I'm sure hopefully Sony will release a DVD for the US/Canada market. Oh BTW this was part of 'Super Saturday' or 'Super Sunday' depending on which day it was on, but personally I like to call it 'Super Sunbow'. Robotix was cut into severn minutes and was shown with Bigfot and the Muscle Machines, Inhumanoids and Jem.
I want Super Sunday and the revised movie of Robotix released on DVD now! We must have Shout! Factory release them on DVD. We should also must let them to include "Robotix:Battle Of The Future will return after these messages...And now back to Robotix:Battle Of The Future!" for the Robotix movie on DVD. We also want them to do the same for the Super Sunday TV cartoon series. Just like they did for The Super Mario Brothers Super Show!
Both Peter Cullen (Optimus) and Frank Welker (Megatron) were in on this too...as they were with the Monchhichi cartoon, which I will confess I have never seen.
Of course, they did. They did like how many Marvel Produtions Ltd/Sunbow show's together??? I will say this, Michael Bell portrayel of Bruce Banner was awesome. The 80's Incredible Hulk animatd series showcased Banner getting out of certaint situation's on his own. Every other portrayel of Banner often mimic's the Bill Bixby version of the Character.

Ironically, the Robotix building set line, in the beginning, didn't have any story behind it...just names like R-2000, R-1000 etc.

Inhumanoids, the evil that lies within! I'd usually just watch the Bigfoot portion only. Robotix and Inhumanoids used to scare me.
