I agree with the sentiment of the video - but I thought Jon Stewart's climategate jokes we're funny (regardless of his previous adulation for the liar Gore).

That data from the "fraud emails" was just verified by independent scientists. Turns out it was worse than originally thought. The scientists did make a mistake and underestimated the results, that's why they were emailing each other about less than robust results. Now the right-wing media haven't mentioned this, despite how they freaked out when the "scandal" broke. Instead the right wing media is being paid by McDonald's to promote the McRib... not on commercials, but during "news" casts.

People who deny climate change based on partisan politics need to grow up.

Venus has an atmnosphere that consists of heavy concentrations of carbon dioxide thus their surface tempurature is some 700 degrees ferinheit. The earth wabbles on it's axis over a 26,000 year cycle creating periods of very cold(sometimes even ice age) and creating periods of very hot(tropical epochs). There have been plenty of ice ages and tropical epochs before humans even step foot on this earth so how could that have happened? The whole cycle is on the order of 100,000 years (perhaps 400,000). CO2 is intimately involved, as is methane. You're (we're) twiddling controls in a vast, ponderous mechanism we don't really understand; what do you think the prudent stance is?

Actually the ice core data was very useful. I showed a correlation between CO2 concentration and global temperature on the scale of thousands of years. It had also showed that, increase of CO2 concentration had FOLLOWED the increase in global average temperature. The lag is about 800 years or so which is about half of the Milankovitch cycle. What an "accidental coincidence", huh?
On a short scale, a decades long scale there is no correlation what so ever.

Water vapor changes because warmer air can hold more water. Discounting long wave radiation and the effect of CO2 as an amplifying factor is the indicator here. That data from the "fraud emails" was just verified by independent scientists. Turns out it was worse than originally thought. The scientists did make a mistake and underestimated the results, that's why they were emailing each other about less than robust results. Now the right-wing media haven't mentioned this, despite how they freaked out when the "scandal" broke. Instead the right wing media is being paid by McDonald's to promote the McRib... not on commercials, but during "news" casts.

2000 to 2009 saw warming of .12 oC. Almost exactly what the 1975- 2000 trend line predicted. (A little above it actually)
97-98% of publishing climate scientists agree with the IPCC.
The measurements of wavelengths in, out, and bounced back to earth clearly show CO2 is behind the continued warming and has been almost exclusively since 1980.
The conspiracy nuts have to ignore all the facts to keep their anti-science positions.

The science is in endless journals that have been published since the middle of the 20th century. Venus has an atmnosphere that consists of heavy concentrations of carbon dioxide thus their surface tempurature is some 700 degrees ferinheit. The IPCC panel misrepresents the findings of the scientists who contributed to the study. Many of them had to sue in order to have their names removed! The earth wabbles on it's axis over a 26,000 year cycle creating periods of very cold(sometimes even ice age) and creating periods of very hot(tropical epochs). There have been plenty of ice ages and tropical epochs before humans even step foot on this earth so how could that have happened? @bellpolo08: Now that's just the sort of science that will do us all in, if anything ever does. The Milankovitch cycle acts as a trigger, but it takes more than that to follow up on the trigger. The whole cycle is on the order of 100,000 years (perhaps 400,000). CO2 is intimately involved, as is methane. You're (we're) twiddling controls in a vast, ponderous mechanism we don't really understand; what do you think the prudent stance is?

Dr Miskolczi showed that the solution to a differential equation for the greenhouse effect developed in 1922 by Arthur Milne, wrongly assumed an infinitely thick atmosphere. In re-solving this equation a new term and also a new law of physics have been proposed setting an upper limit to the greenhouse effect. Dr Miskolczis theory indicates that any warming from elevated atmospheric carbon dioxide will eventually be offset by a change in atmospheric moisture content.

Actually the ice core data was very useful. I showed a correlation between CO2 concentration and global temperature on the scale of thousands of years. It had also showed that, increase of CO2 concentration had FOLLOWED the increase in global average temperature. The lag is about 800 years or so which is about half of the Milankovitch cycle. What an "accidental coincidence", huh?
On a short scale, a decades long scale there is no correlation what so ever.

Fact is, global warming ain't happening, and certainly isn't produced by Carbon. if anything should ever influence the climate on Earth it would be the friggin SUN, buuuut politicians can't exactly tax us for solar activity, so they gotta find something they CAN tax us on, so carbon is the answer.

science isn't a democracy to be decided by a consensus as this is a political term. Science is either right or wrong. There can be no democracy or consensus in science.
Since politics are involved, somebody has to make profit from the panic and this is where Al Gore comes in. It's not a political term, it's a term in the english language and means that almost all scientists agree.
In the short term science has to be democratic in the sense that if almost everyone agrees on something it is considered a fact or at least very likely a fact.
Of course politics are involved now, but it is a theory originating from the scientific community. I don't care if anyone makes money, I don't even care about Al gores motives. The question is whether or not it is real.

Water vapor changes because warmer air can hold more water. Discounting long wave radiation and the effect of CO2 as an amplifying factor is the indicator here.
