More co2 increases the growth rate of plants, which means it will quickly return to an equilibrium. The increase in temperature is due to the larger cycle. We will inevitably reach another ice age and we are all along for the ride. The carbon footprint idea is simply a political tool for politicians and no true scientist believes we are the cause.
I think people really need to understand this...think about this from a historical perspective. The planet has ALWAYS gone through very drastic climate changes, Co2 levels have been much higher several times in the past (especially during the Cambrian Era). @ztpvid Humans do have a major effect, but carbon is not one of them. The vegetation is increasing. I'm definitely not a fan of deforestation, but after losing a tree it most likely gets replaced by some other plant due to the increase in CO2. Probably not a very desirable plant like weeds and plankton, but we will be able to breath. This planet definitely cannot sustain everyone forever at this rate, the only real option is to leave earth or give up your rights as a parent

there is a combination of factors in play currently. one is the 'wobble' of the earth, yes. the other is the amount of elements we are introducing into environments that do not 'naturally' under any circumstance exist. @ztpvid Humans do have a major effect, but carbon is not one of them. The vegetation is increasing. I'm definitely not a fan of deforestation, but after losing a tree it most likely gets replaced by some other plant due to the increase in CO2. Probably not a very desirable plant like weeds and plankton, but we will be able to breath. This planet definitely cannot sustain everyone forever at this rate, the only real option is to leave earth or give up your rights as a parent

Earth's 'wobble' is not causing acid rain or the degradation of the ozone. burning fossil fuels is. and BTW.. Greenland was covered in ice when the vikings named it. the outer edges are green, and Iceland is green in the middle with edges of ice. they came from the water...

The same cannot be said for nuclear bombs, biological/chemical warfare, etc. These are the things that we need to worry about.

NBC's TODAY program is clearly of the opinion we humans are causing 'climate change'. When it is warmer in NYC during winter months, the show's hosts mope about it & the show's producers then put up on screen 'why so hot?' as if they too smug to actually report the news and not try to shape it. When winter weather is more typical Al Roker avoids the word 'snow' and calls it precipitation... as if to make some kind of an attempt to hide the fact of what is in reality a massive winter storm.

@999Thip I study the Bible and attend church sometimes myself, and even I think climate change is real. All the evidence is out there. Don't get me wrong--I certainly wish all of it was just a hoax, but something is definitely going haywire. Just the other week, for example, it was almost 50 degrees in Chicago in FEBRUARY. It's not supposed to be that warm there at this time of the year.
