@ZeroKami86 There's a reason for the slow motion sequence, you get to choose which DZ (Danger Zone) to throw your opponent. In this case, Hayate launched Ryu on those bars, causing him to fall on the ledge. Looks like DOA4? Maybe gameplay, but that's good. Aside that, characters have lost that anime look, did you not notice?

@tamisuuu I've played DOA far long enough to know that the female in the thumbnail is Kasumi. Plus, she's far more popular than Hitomi, so it makes perfect sense that she would be used as a teaser, even though men fight in the video. Also, Hitomi has already been unveiled, looks nothing like the thumbnail. It has to be Kasumi, I am sure of it.
I never liked this kind of video games, I remembered that I prefered (as a kid) to spend my quarters in bubble gum machine or sometimes in the metal slug machine, but never in the street fighter or any other fighting game machine, it's just soooo boring, always the exact same thing!!! no adventures or anything like it, just fight, fight, fight, fight, and wait...fight:(

I hope it becomes a bit more slow. I'm all for turning up the difficulty in modern day video games, but DoA4 was ridiculous. I mean, I actually thought Dark Souls was less hard than the fourth DoA game, and Dark Souls already made me his bitch.

Its about fighting I thought, why the constant hyper-sexuality, looks mean nothing when your getting your skull bashed in similar to this video lol. Knocked head-long into a car at 30 mph or slashed 20 times plus through the air at lightning quick speeds. MuKo18: slight problem though, the likely hood of them doing what SSFIV did is...low at best, they wil probably either make them speak all in english (with accents of their country so they may sound japanese or whatever) or all japanese because...well DOA have a habit of being CHEAP, getting two sets of voice actors...that costs more in their eyes. but DIMENSIONS on the 3DS was mind blowing purely because how their voices were so good, everyone sounded like they came from wherever...

I'm aware that he is old. The timeline of the game wouldn't explain the sudden change in his facial structure though. Also, I'm sure the time of the game itself is only years apart at most between each sequel ( Volleyporn and Gaiden not included)

@tnreaper Ryu does not look the same, pause at 0:14, observe his face. He looks more realistic, eyes are wide apart, but in a good way. His nose is also a bit bigger, narrow, and realistic. You can compare and contrast when he has a costume that reveals his face.
@CaMote558 Ryu hasn't changed as vastly as Hayate has, you can't possible make some of those assumptions on the small segment of this video. Additionally, Ryu's face has changed throughout the timeline of the game. Had Hayate had a game developed and released, he probably would have changed and become more refined. I dont doubt that the characters will change or anything. It was just my opinion, anyway. I don't mind that he's changed, I just feel his hair is more attractive in the last game. x
@tnreaper Keep in mind Ryu has his own role in Ninja Gaiden, so looks vary from that and DOA, just look at Ayane for example. She looks different from NG and her DOA counterpart. All characters changed though, if you go back, DOA2 had character models with big eyes, especially on female characters. DOA3 had very good character models as well.
@CaMote558 I know :P That's what I mean though. I recognise that their models and faces have changed and will change as/if the series continues. I have no problem with that. I just felt that Hayate's change was a much more noticable change from his signature hair that made it obvious that he was related to Kasumi. It's just my opinion that Hayate looked better. However, I hope the females of the game recieve similar treatment though. They kind of need it.

@IDyce88 Like you say, it's obvious for the Japanese Chars, to speak Japanese. I think the reason they generally choose not to do so is probably because the characters are all interconnected in someway or another. So it's not completely impossible for them to know japanese, even if unlikely. Plus, how would the characters communicate with each other? Helena and Kasumi would havea hard time. Helena and Ayane too. Lei Fang and Tina. I know its abit daft, but at least its the original dialog :P

how to make a succesful DOA 5: moves of DOA 4, graphics of this clip or better, 10 or more costumes per character, all characters from dimensions, all chrctrs speak their own language/ accent in english like dimensions, cliff hang effect like this clip, special moves like this clip, new characters (2 maybe), less perverse humour, all stages plus new ones, well thought out storyline and of course all the normal modes survival etc...
@IDyce88 Obviously the moves will be from Dimensions and new ones will be implemented. I do hope all characters make it as well. Language settings, high chance it will be there. Cliff hanger, that's NEW. It will be in all stages and you can easily turn the fight around, but the Ryu player/cpu didn't do that. Of course NEW characters, it's a numbered sequel. Sex has been reduced, this was OBVIOUS in Dimensions and when Itagaki LEFT. This game will be amazing, don't jump the gun.
@CaMote558 : just saying, the language change is what did it for me, that made ALL the difference, if they did it like SUPER STREET FIGHTER IV (where u can choose language per character) that would be amazing because no one was smarter than them for doing that. add all the moves plus new ones to that factor...and all the characters and u have a MONUMENTAL game that finally is worthy of standing next to tekken 6 and the other major fighting games...
@IDyce88 DOA doesn't want to stand alongside said fighters, they want be in the lead by setting an example of how fighting games should be for the next generation. I do feel they are doing that. So with that said, no, your language option will not be available. Also, no other fighting game is starting to use the environment to their advantage as oppose to "just being there". DOA5 will be the first. Tekken 6 is a bit broken, but I still play both games.

Its about fighting I thought, why the constant hyper-sexuality, looks mean nothing when your getting your skull bashed in similar to this video lol. Knocked head-long into a car at 30 mph or slashed 20 times plus through the air at lightning quick speeds. I don't think a person would be worried about breasts or lips while their gettin' beaten nearly to a pulp lol. Then again..

MuKo18: slight problem though, the likely hood of them doing what SSFIV did is...low at best, they wil probably either make them speak all in english (with accents of their country so they may sound japanese or whatever) or all japanese because...well DOA have a habit of being CHEAP, getting two sets of voice actors...that costs more in their eyes. but DIMENSIONS on the 3DS was mind blowing purely because how their voices were so good, everyone sounded like they came from wherever...

I'm aware that he is old. The timeline of the game wouldn't explain the sudden change in his facial structure though. Also, I'm sure the time of the game itself is only years apart at most between each sequel ( Volleyporn and Gaiden not included)
It's obvious they revamped his look, I have no SERIOUS qualms about it. I just think he looked better back then

@tnreaper Ryu does not look the same, pause at 0:14, observe his face. He looks more realistic, eyes are wide apart, but in a good way. His nose is also a bit bigger, narrow, and realistic. You can compare and contrast when he has a costume that reveals his face.

@CaMote558 Ryu hasn't changed as vastly as Hayate has, you can't possible make some of those assumptions on the small segment of this video. Additionally, Ryu's face has changed throughout the timeline of the game. Had Hayate had a game developed and released, he probably would have changed and become more refined. I dont doubt that the characters will change or anything. It was just my opinion, anyway. I don't mind that he's changed, I just feel his hair is more attractive in the last game. x

@tnreaper Keep in mind Ryu has his own role in Ninja Gaiden, so looks vary from that and DOA, just look at Ayane for example. She looks different from NG and her DOA counterpart. All characters changed though, if you go back, DOA2 had character models with big eyes, especially on female characters. DOA3 had very good character models as well.

@CaMote558 I know :P That's what I mean though. I recognise that their models and faces have changed and will change as/if the series continues. I have no problem with that. I just felt that Hayate's change was a much more noticable change from his signature hair that made it obvious that he was related to Kasumi. It's just my opinion that Hayate looked better. However, I hope the females of the game recieve similar treatment though. They kind of need it.

dead or alive has been falling behind MASSIVELY until recently because it doesn't take it self seriously, all it can do is focus on perverted cheek, at least now it will stop with that, that is all i meant. and at least all the other fighting games don;t have ALL CHARACTERS SPEAKING JAPANESE, how F£$% lazy is that, they couldn't be bothered to find proper voice actors in DOA 4.

@MuKo18 : lets see....because it makes SENSE!!!! why would a british chick like christie speak japanese? or why would a cowgirl like tina or why would a american like zack or bass or why would a french woman like helena? i have no problem with the JAPANESE characters speaking japanese cause that logical they should do what SSFIV did: have a list of all the characters and then allow u to choose whether each INDIVIDUAL character speaks in english or japanese.

If that is what you want, you are right. Yes, i agree. I thought you want all charaters to speak english.
For example let us think about Final Fantasy Versus 13. I would like to play it in japanese with english subs.
But i think it will be availible in english dub here in germany... That makes me mad.
If someones wants english dub, ok, no problem. But i think that you should be able to change it, if you want to. I hope that this game comes out 2012 (next to a slimmer ps3)

@IDyce88 Like you say, it's obvious for the Japanese Chars, to speak Japanese. I think the reason they generally choose not to do so is probably because the characters are all interconnected in someway or another. So it's not completely impossible for them to know japanese, even if unlikely. Plus, how would the characters communicate with each other? Helena and Kasumi would havea hard time. Helena and Ayane too. Lei Fang and Tina. I know its abit daft, but at least its the original dialog :P

how to make a succesful DOA 5: moves of DOA 4, graphics of this clip or better, 10 or more costumes per character, all characters from dimensions, all chrctrs speak their own language/ accent in english like dimensions, cliff hang effect like this clip, special moves like this clip, new characters (2 maybe), less perverse humour, all stages plus new ones, well thought out storyline and of course all the normal modes survival etc...

@IDyce88 Obviously the moves will be from Dimensions and new ones will be implemented. I do hope all characters make it as well. Language settings, high chance it will be there. Cliff hanger, that's NEW. It will be in all stages and you can easily turn the fight around, but the Ryu player/cpu didn't do that. Of course NEW characters, it's a numbered sequel. Sex has been reduced, this was OBVIOUS in Dimensions and when Itagaki LEFT. This game will be amazing, don't jump the gun.

@CaMote558 : just saying, the language change is what did it for me, that made ALL the difference, if they did it like SUPER STREET FIGHTER IV (where u can choose language per character) that would be amazing because no one was smarter than them for doing that. add all the moves plus new ones to that factor...and all the characters and u have a MONUMENTAL game that finally is worthy of standing next to tekken 6 and the other major fighting games...

@IDyce88 DOA doesn't want to stand alongside said fighters, they want be in the lead by setting an example of how fighting games should be for the next generation. I do feel they are doing that. So with that said, no, your language option will not be available. Also, no other fighting game is starting to use the environment to their advantage as oppose to "just being there". DOA5 will be the first. Tekken 6 is a bit broken, but I still play both games.
