  • Ledbetter was doing fine financially, and she just did this out of spite and envy of male coworkers who got more that happened to be better at their jobs. If Ledbetter was a better worker, then maybe she'd get paid more. After all, she was consistently rated lower on periodic evaluations.

    Ledbetter was long out of her job when she sued. She only did it as an excuse. Goodyear was a convenient scapegoat.

  • The old liberal myth of "women being discriminated in pay" has been shattered time and again. Legit studies prove it's much more complex than "sexist bosses not paying women as much b/c they view them as inferior." The Ledbetter situation is suspicious, if you ask me. She claims some random worker who "had access to payroll records" mailed her a random letter with that info. can I see a copy of that letter? Did Ledbetter REALLy prove it? I think not.
