@SD190 Sorry this is 3 months late, but I don't think they used that riff. It might of been like a sound effect they added on to make it more interesting, or it could of been a part of a song that they either changed and resulted into what you hear in Darker Times, or it could of been thrown out. In these diaries they explained that they had several arguments about arrangements that most of the time resulted in a song being completely thrown out and they had to start from scratch.
