Just finished reading her book "They Take Our Jobs". A wonderful book and I can't believe that this is not taught in school. One of the best books out there that deals with the immigration issue.
To reply to one of your comments, where you said that immigrants are not loyal to the country. I think that comment is completely farcical. For one thing, I know plenty of unloyal citizens, that would dwarf the number of unloyal immigrants. Furthermore, I can't see how she is looking silly, she is making a plausable claim, nothing more (from what I've seen on the video). Haven't read the book, so I can't comment fully yet.
As for the comment on whether immigration is linked as civil rights, this is perhaps where we differ somewhat. I tend to view immigration as not an economic, legal or even historical issue as much as a human rights issue. Basic human rights that apply to everyone like the right to work in a just environment and a right for an adequate standard of living for oneself and family are violated by economic inequality.
Having read your reply's, I'd say we agree more than we disagree, as I think we are limited to discussion based on time and youtube space limits. But yes, I was referring to people descended from immigrants. And yes, you are referring to citizens and not indiginous people. And I agree with your point about technically everyone is an immigrant. As for health checks, yes there should be and is health checks at airports for highly infectious diseases.
As for citizens being treated differently than non-citizens, I'd like to know how you justify this treatment. Why if everyone's ancestors are immigrants should groups of people that live in society (your neighbors) be treated differently than citizens? They live here too. The golden rule should apply here. Treat others like you want to be treated. If one wants no health care to a group of people, then one should expect to not get health care themself.
I was originally questioning the argument of health checks for immigrants. Well I pointed out that nearly the entire US population is an immigrant (or their family is), so that should in my mind require a check for everyone.
Mortison, I dont understand your argument or point. I believe in healthcare and treatment for everyone, but why do "native-born" deserve treatment when non native born (or noncitizens) do not? When doctors take the medical oath, they take a moral ground to give treatment to everyone. So clearly your point is not on any ethical basis.
My native friend, Aviva Chomsky is more a friend to you than the presidents of your world, they are not historians, or humanitarians they are business men. You should question more deeply.
the Mexican president stated that OUR native american land is theirs!!!! The mexican president wants more illegal mexicans to come here and NOT pay taxes....taxes which goes to our native american funding, education, and healthcare. Apprently the Mexican government wants to take away our lively hood....welost our land before...lets not let it happen agian. Say NO to illegal imigration. Our Native American future is at stake.

They do take our jobs, there was an illegal who was actually a police officer. He was found out and is now deported. We can't just have people pour into this country unchecked. They obviously don't have health checks either. And this is not a race issue.
If you propose having health checks for immigrants, what about health checks for everyone? Do we deport people with AIDS or influenza? That would be funny. If one is an ancestor of Germany or France, and have AIDS then they have to go back! What would we do with the sick American Indian community? I got it: set up a leper-like colony in Hawaii or Guam.
Get a grip there has always been health checks for people who enter legally. Right now we have an insurgence in TB, they just opened a clinic in LA to treay Chagas disease, that is a Central American disease. there are other diseases also.

As a employer, immigrant employees are very much needed. Why -
1 - Americans demand low cost services.
2 - White workers have difficulty working under the leadership of non whites.
3 - White workers have soooooo much job oppurtunities compared to non whites, they tend to migrate from job to job at whim. Hence, undepnedable worker.
4 - The world's resources come to America, it is a born right of anyone born on this planet to follow those resources.
if i walk trough a fire is it unfair that i get burned?
If you want equal rights dont emigrate.

Noam Chomsky an intellectual giant and a deeply courageous and brave man. I guess he also must be very proud of Avi. Wonderful upload! Thank you.
