  • @ReignbowSmite "You were talking about secular humanism like an ignorant fundimentalist fucktard"

Um, how? Though "secular humanist" at least the ones who want to promote such beliefs would be just as much against multiculturalism, "all beliefs can get along" and such as religious people are, they'd just advocate for an ethical system based on science and rationality.

    "libertarian cultural protectionist"

What the hell is that? Never heard of that one

  • @ReignbowSmite I'm not thinking you're lying, I guess I just have bad communication. I was going to try to strike up a friendly dialogue and ask about native American issues. Do you live on a reservation?

  • @ReignbowSmite :D Okay Indian lady

  • @ReignbowSmite Either that or you feel stupid for making such dumb assumptions about me.

  • @ReignbowSmite Come on, please do tell. I'm really interested in native american stuff.

  • @ReignbowSmite "If you want to type me a multipart comment.. type "Pt.1" "

Um, it's why I quote you and respond in the comments. If you can't follow that, I'll try your thing. "Or fucking wait for me to respond to all of them before adding more."

    Oh fine you pissy chick.

"I don't think you're a Christian, I think you're a cultural Christian who want to keep to tradition."

Um..nope. Wasn't raised a Christian nor do I advocate any "tradition" of any kind.

  • @ReignbowSmite "People who make the personal choice not to learn reality, will either lag behind in society working medial jobs or they can deal with reality"

So you don't think societies lag behind if they tolerate entire sectors of the population disallowing education because it offends them? The USA anyone?

  • @ReignbowSmite "If they don't want to be scientifically literate I believe they should be allowed to opt out of the class, but they would graduate highschool with a modified diploma."

What? So you're advocating people should be allowed to ditch an education just to maintain a religious role in society? I agree after someone reaches 16 they should be able to do what they want, but no, small kids need to be taught reality.

  • @ReignbowSmite What ethnicity are you then? I want to work in an Indian Reservation.

  • @ReignbowSmite "can you prove to me that intelligent design is science? "

Um, do you think I believe in Intelligent Design and want it taught in schools? I guess I have to lay it bare, I'm an atheist who is against the role of religion in society, especially education. How could that not be anymore obvious with my first comment on this vid.

  • @ReignbowSmite "I'm not addressing religious extremism here, I am talking about the right to practice as long as it doesn't hurt anyone with out their consent."

I agree with that, but do you advocate not teaching about what reality is in schools, because it offends most religious people and as such they advocate not teaching reality, creationism is just one example.

  • @ReignbowSmite "No, I'm not, because people can still worship and have theological education at home or in their churches, or even a public place"

But you're suppressing their rights to teach kids it in schools, which is openly undermining religious hold on society, so you're advocating cultural genocide! See how silly that is?

  • @ReignbowSmite "And I don't buy this bullcrap that they're not real christians, that's a no true Scotsman fallacy. Mormons are just another type of Christian."

Oh well, ironically they aren't Christians but I'm not arguing that, and do you even know what type of Mormons I'm talking about? Let me guess, you think I'm talking about the LDS door to door mormons, eh? Actually there's many positive aspects to that culture.

  • @ReignbowSmite "Really? Should I (being an atheist) pull out some passages from the Christian Bible that I think are beneficial to any society? "

Go right ahead, I'd probably agree with you. Ironically a socialist like me wants a Christian society in the way of "the meek shall inherit the Earth" and all that jazz, just Christianity obviously can't achieve that. By the way, I said fundie mormons, not Christianity, and which Christianity anyway?

  • @ReignbowSmite "Creationism is as valid as astrology"

    For once we agree.

Are you a Navajo by the way?

  • @ReignbowSmite "I am against teaching anything in schools that is not scientifically valad, other than the arts, or comparative religion."

Then you're advocating oppressing peoples religious beliefs, because science contradicts religious wordviews. Why do you think christians and muslims are against evolution? Hell you can see secular versions of this. Why are corporations against global warming awareness? Some brain food for you.

  • @ReignbowSmite "Just because someone thinks religion is abhorrent, doesn't mean they want to strip away the rights of others to practice."

No one said that, well I didn't anyway. How is teaching about reality through science infringing on their rights?

  • @ReignbowSmite Fundamentalist Mormon culture, for one. Right here in the good ol' US of A.

  • @ReignbowSmite "they're called a fascist."

Except for the fact fascism called for a return to religious society...

  • @ReignbowSmite "I feel religion is detrimental, but that HARDLY means I wan't to wipe it out. "

So you're against educating people on reality and having a wordview firmly grounded in reality then I take it right?

  • @ReignbowSmite "There are different types of secularists? Oh you mean secularists who have an opinion?"

You're aware schools of thought typically have divergent types right? Actually there is sort of a third type, old school baptist who oppose state churches but otherwise support religion in society. Mennonites are a good example.

  • @ProgressiveAudio old school christians*

  • @ReignbowSmite "I said there are positive aspects to ANY culture"

Even that's incorrect, there isn't positives to every single one, and we shouldn't be teaching tolerance of all manners of culture and superstitious nonsense, that's postmodern liberal drivel. I'd think as a "secular humanist" you'd know that.

  • @ReignbowSmite "any secular humanist who wants to wipe out religion is a fascist, not a secular humanist."

What? Don't know where to begin with that. Fascism was about a return of religion in society for one, and two um..secular humanist seek to replace religion with um..secular humanism in society..hence the name. The complete opposite of fascists.

  • @ReignbowSmite "No, it's not. Secularists support both the freedom of, and freedom from religion. "

I'm well aware. What did I say that contradicts that? I think you're getting confused on the types of secularist. There are secularist who just advocate for government to be out of religious affairs, but theres also secularist who advocate secularism because they feel religion is detrimental and should be fought against in education and society. I'm that type.

  • @ReignbowSmite crap. Are you ignorant on the very thing you're talking about?

  • @ReignbowSmite "secularists promote a cultural soup"

Um..no they don't. At least not any serious secularist.

    "Culture constantly changes and evolves."

Well yeah, thats why multiculturalism doesn't make any sense.

"Indian's don't worship nature gods you moron, native american's were originally atheists."

Um, no they weren't, for one native american culture emcompassed many gods and goddesses, and spirit worship, and nature worship and all sorts of nonsense that inspires new age

  • @ReignbowSmite "A secularist wouldn't be a secularist if they were trying to wipe out a culture,"

Er, what? The whole point of secularism and humanism is to wipe out religion from culture, and replace it with a well..secular humanist culture. Duh, the whole point is not all cultures are equal and we should have one rational democratic culture.

  • @ReignbowSmite "that's called cultural genocide."

When secularist practically wiped out religious culture in Europe, was it cultural genocide?

"respect for nature? OR shedding the archaic delusion that there is a god."

Not sure what you're referring too here. Do you mean respect for biodiversity so we can all survive or worshiping nature gods and all that nonsense?

  • @ReignbowSmite Thanksgiving is a secular holiday.

  • yeah, it was just all peace pipes and love before europeans showed up

  • @hogo1 No but they weren't completely wiped out by European diseases, usury, and muskets courtesy of the White man.

  • They might not be Vanishing but the congress and the people are slowly forgotten them!

  • Ok, so did the people who put this protest on look at Native America birthrates? They certinaly are vanishing and very, very quickly.

  • @ReignbowSmite Just out of curiosity, what inherent value is there in preserving or assmiliating into the culture you're talking about?

  • @ReignbowSmite you right-wingers need to stop sucking bush's cock

  • I would much rather acknowledge the truth of history and events of the past as opposed to the utterly rediculous tripe of tradition that is so typically shoved down our collective throats. Traditions of all kinds should be questioned - revised - and done away with all together if need be. I find that tradition and holidays are another way of shutting down our brains - don't think about why you do it, just do it. I for one hope for the day when ALL tradition is regarded as tripe.

  • What do they care about Mumia? Didn't they just recently expel all of the black people who may have been mixed blood from the Native Reservations? They need not act like they care off the back hand.

  • Good. We should start questioning the "stories" of our history. And, not just the native peoples of our land, but the myths about perfect leaders, wars, aquisition of land/resources, treatment of various peoples...everything. The weight of our past generations call out for it and the future generations should demand it. Be critical thinkers and question everything. Shed the myth and live the reality.

  • @skeletonmom read Howard Zinn's "A People's History of the United States" if you want know the true US history.

  • So now the Mexicans are piggy-backing on Native American's movement? Visit any large city in CA or any border town if you want to see how they honor "their" *sacred land.*

  • @TripleSpeak Quit being retarded the guy was Mayan which is Native American, not a mixture of Aztec and Spanish blood. Who cares how bad the living standards are in that shithole state called California. The whole worthless state can fall into the ocean.

  • @viletree 22 & living at home w/his Mommy in a trailer park in Buttfuck, AZ

LOL. Great name for you. You're vile alright.

  • @TripleSpeak Because you can really see my apartment from your shithole state. Go kill yourself

  • Comment removed
