  • Iosa disliked this song.

Annihilator Iosa, I will not let you trashtalk THE MOST AWESOME SONG IN THE UNIVERSE!!!

  • I'd say that Iji is the only game that had me genuinely _wanting_ to do a pacifist run. The way she says "I'm sorry" after killing for the first few times...

  • Great song! I get the chills every time I listen to this.

  • i KNOW most of u (not all of u) didnt watch the credits. so i will tell u if u want 2 know what happens after iji: humans nurse the earth back to good health- pictures are shown of trees in the credits. it also shows children playing with komato and tasen helmets and broken guns, around what seems to be iosa's rusting exoskeleton. It then shows a human village with surrounding forests.

    then the game finally finishes.

i wish remar would make a sequel... what a gr8 game...

  • This song makes me sad.

    But dispite that, It's Beautiful.

  • Does the band have a webpage?

  • What instruments are being used in this song?

  • This is better than the original. But who did this one? The guy who made iji says it was the only song not made specifically for the game.

  • Just finished the game with 0 kills, loved the ending

  • This song really makes me think about things, and feel really small. Smaller than usual.

  • WHO PRESSED DISLIKE!? THEY WILL FEEL MY WRATH!

Seriously though, this song gives me goosebumps every time I hear it. Thank you for the upload

  • I just thought of something: why is THIS song at the end of the credits? Sure, it's a good song for the situation, but we see during the credits that her efforts weren't in vain. I just think it'd be more appropriate in the middle of the game rather than at the end.

  • @ObsoletePerson Well... It gives you time to calm down and think. What would happen if Iji were to fail? It's to make you remember that you won.

  • @srb2Espyo I dunno, it gives a sense of meaningless to Iji's actions. While this could be the case in any sequels if any were to come out (although I wouldn't wish Daniel to go through so much trouble and I would much rather he makes what he wants to make), Iji just saved an entire planet and gave life back to it. How the hell is that insignificant?

  • @ObsoletePerson I guess it just gives some contrast to what just happened. And Daniel isn't really planning on a sequel.

  • @ObsoletePerson Well, she did just watch the last of a species finally be wiped off the face of the universe, the Earth has been seriously mistreated by this whole assault, ecosystems destroyed, acid rain falling from the heavens. The human population was severely reduced, along with a hefty chunk of animal life. Sure, she saved the planet from being blasted soon, but there's still a chance we won't pull out of what we were forced into.

  • @FailedAnalysis The Tasen are still in the basement (I played the pacifist, by the way), but the other points are true. By the way, did you see the pictures in the credits?

  • @ObsoletePerson True, but there were only a dozen at the most, if I remember correctly, hardly enough for a new population. And yes, the world is recovering, but that hardly means it has recovered.

  • This song is so chilling, But so beautiful. It makes you think though. God, I really need to play this game.

  • KILL IT WITH FIRE!

OMG they raped a beautiful song

  • @ZillasElite You're really a complete moron. Why would it only be allowed to leave a positive reply? I have every right to comment on the video as much as you do, even when I don't like the song.

Further more, your comparison to rap videos is totally out of order, since you'd then be purposely looking for music you obviously don't like. I expected this song to be nice and found out it's not.

So, in conclusion, I'm not gonna compare myself (or my brain for that matter) to you. /pet

  • @ZillasElite So negative feedback pissed you off? If someone has another opinion then you, you are annoyed? You want the whole world to like what you like or shut up about it? THAT sounds selfish to me.

I feel so sorry for the people around you.

  • Comment removed

  • @ZillasElite You cared enough to reply and call me names. Then you found out you didn't think it through enough and, how surprising, call me names. And when you got outsmarted again you... call me names. Now stop making a fool out of yourself.

As to why: because I want to. Same reason as why one would leave a positive reply. Or any reply at all. That's why the commenting system is here in the first place. Deal with it or ignore comments.

  • @NiGhTsPiRiT81 Yep, looks like they were right. *Sigh* Trolls are just not fun.

To bad there was one thing you didn't know about me. I have an compulsive need to reply back.

But thanks, you answered my question completely. much obliged for your idiocy and inability to either answer my question or reply back with anything besides an insult. (and by the way, I only use vulgar language to see how people react to it, usually they end up acting superior and that's the mark of a TRUE troll) bye.

  • @ZillasElite wtf is happening here

WHY ARE YOU GUYS FIGHTING, STOP IT. MAKE LOVE, NOT WAR.

  • @Orangesoda19 that was actually my original point, he said some bullshit and I asked him why do it...apparently just to be a dick. so I deleted all my messages except the last to prove my original point.

(apparently logic is just to much for him, or he just HAS to be a dick. aka, troll) In any case, my deepest apologies please go back to enjoying the music ^.^

  • I always thought it was "Who are we to judge what's right, from what has been composed for us"

  • lol existential crisis song

  • The best post-appocolyptic game I have personally EVER played: intensly phsycologic and seamlessly entertaining this ending theme really embodies a great deal of the games theme.

  • "The sun was born, so it shall die, so only shadows comfort me.

I know in darkness, I will find you giving up inside like me."

I find these two lines sublime. The harmonies accompanying them make my hairs stand on end.

  • Oh my god it's great! Where can I get it?

  • @Ender080192

Google the name of the game (Iji) and you'll be taken to the official page where you can download the game and soundtrack for free.

  • Sweet.

  • HOW DOES THIS GET ONE DISLIKE!? It's such a good song!

  • Perfect ending song. Superb!

  • Better than the original.

  • It wasys "I will remember us and wonder who we were" Not "I will remember you"

  • @Aneruuu Ah, sorry. I re-listened to it, and you're right; I think I stole these off some lyric site though.

    Oh well. I'll fix that!

  • @Orangesoda19 You forgot to fix it for 3:35

  • @kotzebrecher Hnnnng, the things I do to make this 2 year old video perfect.

  • @Orangesoda19 Wait, it's already fixed. Youtube is just extremely lame ): I went to edit the annotation and it was already fixed. So what the hell, Youtube?

  • @Orangesoda19 To being perfect it is a long way.

  • I'm trying to find more from the artist that did the cover, but can't even seem to find a web page. If anyone can help it'd be much appreciated.

  • @IonAeon I did some searching around and came up on the on Last FM. Apparently they were a band back in 2001 that has stopped recording anything recent. The singer, Erica Oberg, did lyrics and vocals for the band Inja. I haven't found any other songs by either so far, I would give Last FM a try though if you'd like to listen to more of their stuff ^^

    Beautiful song.

  • This song is about the Tasen right? I mean the humans survive, and it's implied that the Tasen do to in a pacifist run.

  • @Icerama108

    THEY SURVIVE BY A HAIR!

  • @SirAroace Well, they still survive.

  • Hail to Remar. Iji is his finest triumph

  • I'VE GOT IT! THERE SHOULD BE AN "IJI - The movie"! Then an "IJI - The movie II"!

  • @cg1725 yes to movie 1 yes only if movie 2 is a prequel :) (before iji)

now only if he wasn't an indy game maker...it probably could have had the chance to be made into a movie o.O (Small chance, but still)

  • I could see this song in a blame! amv.

  • I love how well this goes with the games whole story.

Especially since its now a girl singing.

  • Iji one of the best games ever and you you dont think so to you are broken.

  • awesome song!

  • I know in darkness I will find you giving up inside like me

Each day shall end as it begins

And though you're far away from me

I know in darkness I will find you giving up inside like me

    ------

Without a thought I will see everything eternal

Forget that once we were just dust from heavens far

As we were forged we shall return, perhaps some day

I will remember us and wonder who we were

  • At the end of days, at the end of time

When the sun burns out will any of this matter?

Who will be there to remember who we were?

Who will be there to know that any of this had meaning for us?

And in retrospect I'll say we've done no wrong

Who are we to judge what's right and what has purpose for us?

With designs upon ourselves to do no wrong

Running wild unaware of what might come of us

The Sun was born, so it shall die

    So only shadows comfort me

  • I honestly can't stop listening to this song. It's taken over the rest of my night.

  • I like VNV Nation's version better (can't beat the original imo) but this is really good

  • @kudasango VNV's weakness IMO is their somewhat monotone vocals

  • @stuffums

That's true. I've heard a few of their songs and say that they do good with instruments and lyrics, but the vocals are too bland for the lyrics. I like the LifeForce version of Further more simply because the vocals work with the lyrics. Though, I'm still able to enjoy the original. Makes me think that VNV and LifeForce should work together.

  • The last level was hard as hell -.-

But after fighting Tor, and watching the credits, it was all worth it, i was speechless, such a good game!

  • Great song. I like what you did with the annotations.

  • ...

  • ...are you serious?

  • ...please tell me you're joking...

  • Well theres so many covers got no idea which is the original (or in this game for that matter), plus I cant find any help at all on the net. Seems Google isn't a friend after all. ¬_¬

Try and cut a little slack...

  • the original is by VNV nation

  • @V4Andy does'nt the music come with the game when you download it? Ò_ó

  • @R33Racer There is. Like three anotations. IN THE VIDEO. STATING IT.

  • Better than the original.

  • I know in darkness...

    I will find you

    Giving light inside like me

  • Unfortunately, that's "giving up", not "giving light". Bit less positive, eh?

  • :'(

  • I'm of the school of thought that the interpretation that optimizes the quality of a work is the correct one. Any other interpretation results in you enjoying it less than you could be.

  • Uhhhhhhhh....

    Ok?

  • Yeah right, so we're all not enjoying the original by VNV Nation because it is not written like you think it should be? There is only your interpretation, and the rest is not optimal? Sounds extremistic. Sounds a bit fascist even.

    Life is more than you.

  • He never said that we had to accept that interpretation. He was saying that he would use it. Use your noggin, next time.

  • I think it's "giving UP inside..."

  • At the end of days...

    At the end of time...

When the sun runs out, will any of this matter?

  • Who will be there...

    Too remember who we were?

Who will be there, that any of this had meaning for us?

  • Do you know where I can find more from this Artist? I'm a huge fan of VNV Nation but after hearing this... I prefer this version a whole lot more. I really want to hear their other work.

  • Google? All the information given is in the description. Other then that, not really. Sorry :(

  • Absolutely beautiful.

  • What a haunting dark depressing mood this song has. I love it. :D Not because it's depressing, but because it sounds so beautiful and unique and actually invokes emotion.

Only other 'haunting' songs I can think of are Creeping in my Soul by Christine Lorentzen and Edge by Perfume. But as someone who strictly watches the pop industry, I don't know much. xD But what other songs could you recommend? I'm really curious.

    Thanks for the upload! =)

  • Hah, I usually don't like songs like this, so I couldn't really recommend you any songs. Sorry :(

But thanks for the comment, by the way! o: I'll have to try listening to one of those two songs. Thanks, again!

  • You forgot Pans Labyrinth. >=(

  • Pan's Labyrinth? Could you be more specific? You mean the movie soundtrack? I never saw the movie, sorry. =( Or something else?

  • If you saw the movie, which you haven't and you should be very ashamed of yourself, you would know what song I'm talking about.

  • Heh, check back in like ten years. I play by ear. You'll be first to know, though.

  • God, I love the original and I love this version

  • It's a great song, isn't it?

  • Sure is, I'm figuring it out on the piano right now. Lifeforce used pretty different keys.

  • Oh, nice! You should try uploading a video, when you get it right. I'd love to see it.
