Jesse actually did say that in the book...it's because he feels like Leslie brought him to this new world and left him stranded like an astronaut on the moon, and she's probably far away laughing at him. We all think weird things like that when we lose someone close to us...though I feel the same way as you about this part. It sounds like they finally realized this guy can't act so they started dubbing his voice.

yeah, see, the amazing thing is that that very line, the "I hate her" part, was one of the things that hit me the MOST when reading the book. And I GUARANTEE you that had it been kept in the new script, Josh would have made it every bit as poignant a line as it should be. It's just, this kids acting is SO SO SO incredibly bad that it's laughable. And that's really unfortunate.
