I spent my entire childhood surrounded by Ska music and never even noticed it. I watched Rave Masters religiously and always loved this intro song, and on top of that I played alt of Animal crossing and had K.K. Ska playing on loop in my house. Hell, I even remember liking that Less Than Jake song in the Digimon movie. It took me fourteen years to wise up and find out what that stuff was all about.

When I first heard this I face-palmed. I wondered 'Why? Was the original opening not good enough?!" Because the Japanese opening was beautiful.

But then, this grew on me. I can't hate it simply because it's so fucking hilarious. "Carrot nosed dog"? LOL And unlike the infamous one piece rap, this song kinda matches the show. Plus, it's not half bad. Damn catchy.

in the most recent past golden age of anime in America songs like this were common. Basically songs which rival, and can exceed any song that came from japan. The golden age in my opinion would be about half way through the life span of toonami or the 90s.
