I have made a number of jumps with the 101st at Ft. Campbell and while they are Air Assult they still have Airborne troops. Many of the 101st guys I knew were all Airborne Qualified.

@123nypd The 101st ABN Div is an air assault division. They've kept the Airborne part of the Division's name for historical purposes. The 101st has no units that are on active jump status like a real airborne unit would. This guy is part of the Army's Golden Knights Parachute team.

@scatmandeux Hell, I was in the 101st and I had no idea about the parachute demonstration team. I saw Old Abe on the guy's parachute, however, I assumed he was just showing some love to to his unit. I'm not sure how it works when you join the Golden Knights or the other demonstration teams. Do they stay on the books at thier old unit and are simply assigned to the parachute team or are they part of a differenet unit altogether? I believe it's the former, but I'm not sure.

Attendance was like 112,379 at this game right? They put it up on the scoreboard like they always do at UM home games with the 'largest crowd to watch a football game this week...' announcement. Cheapest paid seats are in the upper bowl at $50. Counting concessions, luxury boxes, or better seats the revenue was well over $7,000,000.

A small plane, a pilot, and a guy jumping out didn't cost a lot and Michigan likely covered it. Probably the lowest cost pre-game UM had this year.
