  • Ozzy the super dynamic

  • Bought this on vinyl in 78. I liked it alot then (this tune in particular) & I think even appreciate it more now. Just another great album by the Best, at what they did. Hopefully....will have the new material to hear in the near future, only hope Tony is going to be able to participate. Best wishes to/for him for sure. Thanks for these uploads......much appreciated.

  • @kneapoe51 If Tony isn't there the album will be shit it won't be sabbath at all. Even in the late 80's when they produced all of that pop garbage you could always look forward to Tony's Riffs when a Martin Era song would come on the radio.

  • @Luigi84289 Oh...no doubt, Tony is THE must (if there is one) that has to participate. I just hope he isn't "really" sick...as in dying. I am just hoping he is gonna be alright. It's a given....as you say, that without him....no Sabbath. He was the one it sounded like at the press conference that had done the most of whatever has been done..at that point, anyways. Musically I'm sure plus said the songs were "up to their standards" so...he's gotta beat this. Thanks man.

  • fabulous album ! for christ sakes how can this not be appreciated for what it is ?!?!?!?!

  • so great and so underrated !

  • An album like this would have topped the charts in the early 90's as opposed to 1978.

  • @exv092 Yes,so much interesting music came out in 1978.The Cars,Blondie,DEVO

    The Pretenders.Ted Nugent's "State of Shock".The Allman Bros'Enlightened Rogues"

Not to mention Van Halen's Debut Album.Styx and Rush had albums out too. This

album got lost in the shuffle,i believe.

  • @AnnaAnnaYes Good comment! Don't forget Boston's "Don't Look Back" and Journey's "Infinity". Oops, also Cheap Trick "Live At The Budokan", AC/DC's "Powerage", and the live "If You Want Blood You Got It", and finally Foreigner's "Double Vision" Hell of a year for albums won't you say?

  • @wilx218x Yes.I have them all!!

  • @exv092 In the 70's Sabbath couldn't get any radio air-time. If they where all released today all of their albums would be many times platinum.

  • I never noticed this, but the 'A' is a triforce!

  • you just kinda had to be there. I know it holds up pretty well now, but when it came out it was a step backwards for Sabbath. plus there was a lot of other good music to listen to those days. it's not bad music, just doesn't stack up to the rest of the Sabbath catalog.

  • The most cheery sounding Black Sabbath album there is (except for the song Junior's Eyes ;( ). I love it, though.

  • me and you

  • part 2

our wars protecting our children from satins storms someday ill sufer for all of you ill come back in a body bag just to save you looking down at myself my bodys not whole it starts to get cold so go get the medic hurry please go the something real holy sing can this be true my father said when i made this kingdom it was for you masters of madness killing themselves they wont be happy till they nuke themselves and its about oil and thats the truth cause if the rebels get to it there goes

  • i made a remake for our soliders

they want to cut us with broken windows they call us fools they want to hang us in our children school but god left a message that told us what to do no longer doin the things i do no i fight for you i travel far to the east i sreach grounds for mines i hope the life it takes is not mine long days with no sleep only battels to do i make my last stand for the red white &blue there coming for you ...what can you do ...i love the gift of freedom our boys fighting

  • THAT'S RIGHT...THESE BOYS JUST COULD DO NO WRONG,MUSICALLY,RECORDING-WISE,FOR A FEW YEARS THERE...MAN,I BET THEY'D LOVE TO GET A FEW OF THEM YEARS BACK...I SURE AS HELL KNOW I WOULD... LONG LIVE THE REAL FANS OF BLACK SABBATH-WHO KNEW WHO OZZY WAS BEFORE HE GOT WITH THAT RANDY RHOADS KID-WHO IT TURNED OUT WAS OKAY BUT...WELL Y'KNOW...S'THERE Y'GO...I GUESS MY AGE BETRAYS ME...BUT YEAH MMM,I'M THE YOUNGEST OLDSTER-BESIDES OZZY-HAHA!

  • @tinfoilhatter You speak a lot of truth. What if Ozzy had been the vocalist thru out

the 80's Randy would have been a star Ozzy or no Ozzy,he would be in the same

place that Joe Satriani is now.But i give Sharon Osbourne(Arden) some credit.Mr

Osbourne would probably be dead were it not for her.

  • Whos the one person who disliked this!? How dare they

  • I've always wondered who were the two guys behind the masks and hoses

on the cover of this album? I have the original Vinyl LP,and have read the credits

over and over,it's not mentioned.Would be a good topic on VH1's

    "That Metal Show".

  • It did'nt help Black Sabbath,at the time they toured to promote this album

that Van Halen was the opening act!! But,believe it or not,a lot of college

radio stations play the hell outta this album today!

  • @AnnaAnnaYes

did you know that van halen is coming out a new album in the future

  • @Deth666Iron Yes i do,and it is a shame that Van Halen is leaving Warner Brothers

Records.Because it would make a great 33rd anniversary tour with Black Sabbath

  • How lucky we,us mockfree fuck pagans.

  • @diskeywick You, sir, are a master of words!

  • there are no bad sabbath songs

  • I believe this song is relevant today because the country is suffering and people are questioning what they were promised. Perhaps a good reason why black sabbath is timeless music. The song sounds gnarly tho.

  • Bands like Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, they all aged gracefully. You can hear it in their music, as time went on the style of music changed a little bit but it was still great music no matter what.

  • They have never had a single bad song! Greatest band of ALL time! If you think otherwise, may God drop an anvil on you..

  • @timmycrw91 The reason being that this album, along with Technical Ecstasy were such rapid departures at the time that no one in the industry was accepting of Sabbath "experimenting". NSD and T.E. were not only panned by critics, they were literally savaged at the time as crap. Plus when this album was recorded Disco was enjoying its heyday on FM Radio and sadly no one could stop that trainwreck....Sad too. as both albums are among Sabbaths Finest

  • Awesome song from an awesome album !!!!

  • You just can't beat Black Sabbath with the God-like Ozzy on vocals. Splendour!

  • Whoever says this album sucks has not heard the whole album. Almost guaranteed.

  • @91nickt I agree, I was always favored the band with Ozzy anyway and this was the last album with Ozzy

  • Don airey at piano

  • @timmycrw91 simply my favorite Black Sabbath album,......

  • damn this shit is the shit fuck new rock

  • Now that's a guitar tone.

  • @timmycrw91 Well ya got my vote, dude!

  • @timmycrw.91 Well you should be!!

  • easily most underrated Sabbath album..which is cool in a way

    like a hidden gem..

  • @juliano66 Sometimes it feels good, I agree. To know that you're one of the few who knows the good music, that's you're the more experienced and more tasteful one. Yes I mentioned tasteful, because this music goes right into the soul of the ones who know what real music is about.

  • Brings back memories to a much simpler day...Funny how some music stands the test of time so brilliantly!

  • This my new favorite Sabbath tune, and I"ve been listening to them for more than 30 years. I give NSD a thumbs up.

  • Maybe unknown for some, , this is great just music

  • A weird depressing feel permeates this entire album. I love how it blends with the underproduction.

  • sabbath needs to get back together..one or two more albums

then enjoy their retirement...40 years is a long time

  • good tune. no matter what yall say

  • not unknown,, i had this over 30+ yrs now in my collection

  • Never Say Die = top 10 album of all time. This is just one of the many unappreciated hits off that record.

  • @timmycrw91 not an unknown Sabbath album if you were a fan back in the day...this album got plenty of spins on my turntable when I was a kid.

  • born in the window nobodys fool raised in this prison you called dude thats is so classic fuck rap cant touch this not even playin music is dead music is all about having nice car and money thats not music your suppose to relate to music and alot of people dont even know how real these basterds r

  • @MRraider1992 I always thought it was: "raised in a prison you called a school,"

  • what the f ever

  • Just imagine would the next sabbath album wouldve sounded like if Ozzy stayed!!

  • @Mr1979longhorn Yea! Fuck Tony and Geezer for firing him. LOL.

  • @Mr1979longhorn The Heaven and Hell album would have been radically different, and most likely not as well received as it was had Ozzy stayed. This album was panned by the critics terribly and upon its release Warner Brothers were already hinting at Iommi to can Osbourne. In the end it turned out ok for both Iommi and Ozzy but at the time of his departure it was a bit of a shock.

  • black sabbath is great with progressive rock

  • The only song on this album I'm not crazy about is Dancing Queen...that's a little lame.

  • @metalschemist there is no song on never say die titled dancing queen.

  • @outlawcountryman I meant "Air Dance"

  • @metalschemist Dancing Queen?Isn't that ABBA?

  • @ChevKen Yeah, it is. That's why I thought it was lame when Ozzy sang "...she was a dancing queen, she danced the night away..."

  • I bought "Never Say Die" and Rainbow's "Long Live Rock n Roll" on the same day. Little did I know that a year and a half later Ozzy would go solo and Dio would head up a very different Sabbath in 1980. No matter which Sabbath you prefer they were blessed to have two iconic vocalist during there reign....It was like having dual Black Sabbath's at the same time...I loved it....

  • I bought this new when it came out in 78..(.saw them that same year in concert with VH,) ...I still love this album just like the day I first heard it. It's really very simple, ALL Sabbath albums with the original members is gold....not just Ozzy...all the members created rock&roll for the masses...Thanks you Black Sabbath.

  • sounds like the who.

  • Great Lyrics !!!

who can write this in now days ?

    Epic !

  • they had great music that never got air play like this, air dance and many more.

  • Comment removed

  • @dpfarez They should air it NOW !

  • I truly do not care how much of a slating this album gets, it's one of my favourite Sabbath efforts. See the use of the crash during the verse... goosebumps.

  • I had this on album 8 track when it was brand new in 1978.

  • This and 'Never Say Die' are the best songs off this album.

  • pretty underrated album. i liked the direction they were going
