  • that is some of the funkiest videogame music I've ever heard.

  • wow I didn't know there was a SNES version of this! I loved this game in the arcade - such a well detailed and gritty beat em' up!

  • what is the code entered at the beginning

  • hola te puedo pedir un favor yo tengo el juego pero no se hacer los poderes de matt rosa y zam me puedes ayudar

  • yeah i do´t know that is was portet for the snes !!! i only knew the arcade version awesome!!!! it`s like fist of the nortstar :-D

  • "Extra Joy"?

  • @fireflocs

It was a common mode at the time with many beat em ups. Jaeleco had the option in brawl brothers I believe, as did final fight with capcom. There were plenty of others with the same option... what it usually did was provide a slight advantage for novice players so they wouldn't get frustrated by the difficulty of the game as easily. Extra JOY I believe extra joy carries different meanings for different games :)

It seemed to provide different functions with different games.

  • @fireflocs Most of street fight beat em up games used to have only 2 active buttons, which were "jump" and "hit", if you pressed jump and then hit, the character would do an aerial attack, but if you pressed both buttons simultaneously, the character performed some "special attack" that usually consumed some of your energy. "Extra Joy" option is nothing but the capacity of performing that "special attack" in an isolated third button instead of pressing the other 2 buttons at once... thats all.

  • I NEVER heard of this game. The moves looks AWESOME. How come you aren't taking any damage...game genie? O.O

  • @Protectobot

    Nope. It's cuz I rock @ life. :p

As I seem to recall, it wasn't game genie or PAR. You just take damage VERY slowly. It was a programming issue.

  • OMG, AWESOME *-*

  • I never heard of this for the SNES IS IT 2-pLAYERS SIMULTEANOUSLY?

  • There is no multiplayer in this version, but there is multiplayer in the arcade version.

  • That sucks reminds me of Final Fight for SNES tHAT gAME SUCKED Arcade was better

  • its a pretty fun beat em up. Try sengoku 3.

  • I remember i thought this game was damn cool cause you was supose to do down/forward and Y in the air to do the special

    I still got the cardinage

  • u have this game for snes?

  • Hellz yeah! This game was fucking boss! Played it when I lived in Germany way long ago...even beat it on arcade...the ending is cool as hell too.

  • "The upper eschelon", huh?

I need to try this out some day.

  • No doubt. ;)

  • man, this is my favorite game ever! I played it when a fairy visited my town; after a few months they left and I have never seen this game again. from A to Z, this is best one! (for me of course). God bless you brother for download this video and make remind my childhood. Im 28 now. I played when I was about 12 years old!

  • This game is still sick

  • Yup this game is rocks! I just downloaded the ROM... Man they need to make more beat 'em ups like this nowadayz!

Last good one I played was MK Shaolin Monks for Ps2...

  • Sure it's easy nowadays to just emulate games straight from the arcades to your home, but I still miss the days where they had to try and fit all the arcade goodness into a NES/SNES/GENESIS cartridge. It amazes me how accurate they are to their arcade counterparts.

  • The only thing that sucks with this version is that it is only 1 player, whereas the arcade version is 3 players. They could at least made it 2 players. This is the only flaw I see with this port.

It is hard to come by in a non-bootleg form.

  • Ya know...I didn't even notice NO 2player mode til you mentioned it. Thats pretty crappy. even so, the game is fairly fun to do a solo through, so all is forgiven.

  • This game looks awesome! I've been meaning to check out more Irem games, beyond their shooters. Those moves look fun to use.

That "environmental hazard" in the first boss fight is cool as hell too. Reminds me of knocking Abobo into that pit in NES Double Dragon, only significantly more badass. :)

  • Yea, this game was surprisingly good! The control scheme is very smooth. The video that you see now was about the third time that I picked the game up, so its very intuitive and easy to get the hang of.

Anyways, of course its fun crushing bosses. Though, I did just knock Abobo in the pit today and that probably still takes the cake for me.
