I think much of what "Cheney" says here makes sense. The U.S. needs to have as strong a presence as possible in the Middle East. Protecting the world's oil reserves is a matter of global security. Politically correct or not, much of the Middle East is populated by bloodthirsty fanatics who would love to use the region's oil to wreak havoc all over the world. Unfortunately, the war in Iraq became a mess and the American people just wanted out.

This movie was terribly damaged for being shot and released in 2008 instead of 2012. Read the newspapers today (or search the words IRAN URANIUM BUNKER). "Time will tell", they say. Well, the only mistake Oliver Stone made was being right before time... like most visionaries.

Osama Bin Laden killed thousands of people in the name of God and gloated when both millions of American and Afghan lives were lost as a result. Pol Pot killed his own citizens for petty reasons.
