  • Primus sucks. My friend told me not to tune my bass ever when he first taught me, by now I know he's a retard because I'd never be able to play Nick Oliveri SFTD or Josh Homme Self Titled stuff.

  • wow that tone is amazing, whenever i try to play a bass it sounds like shit

  • Very cool. Authentic sound and good timing there, kudos :)

  • keep rockin cause ur awesome at bass and could u send me the tabs

  • This is why I chose Bass,

    great sound and awesum song!!!

    5☆'s

  • nice

  • Drop C ?

  • Yup. Well, C standard actually. All strings tuned 2 whole steps below standard.

  • Thanks. Do u think it could sound ok with standard cords ( 45-65-80-105) ?

  • Yeah, those are the gauges that used in this video, that should be fine.

  • Ok thanks a lot ! Keep groovin' low-frequency brother. ;D

  • Very nice. U inspired me. I'm gonna cover it too now. =P 5*

  • can you send me the tabs please?

    greetz great work

  • yeeah great work dude. bass tuned into c á la Qotsa-style, just like I do it ;)

  • great to hear a cover of the bass, awesome, i love when nick used to play it

  • good

  • Very good indeed! It's just as heavy as the original bass on the album.

  • Sounds awesome!!!!!

  • i play a fender precison bass :) 1976 (i think thats the year, who knows) was just wandering what key your bass is tuned to here

  • Cool bass. I'm tuned down 2 whole steps to C standard.

  • What bass do you play? That has the best bass sound. You're very good also. It's solid.

  • ah yeah thanks for this, i've been looking for the bassline for a while...

looks like u have a little problem stretching ur fingers, maybe try use the pinky too... :)

  • Well I like the sound better when i slide, which is why I didn't use my pinky for most of it. Most of the song can be done within 2 frets, so stretching really isn't an issue.

  • Thats a really good sound! I think a just may go and buy me a Gallien-Krueger amp!!

  • Yeah man, they sound great. When I upgraded from my backline, I got their 700RB head. They're both very versatile amps, my only complaint is that the 700RB doesn't have distortion, but thats why they make the Diesel Dawg pedal, which is an upgraded version of the backline distortion I'm using here.

  • Thanks for the info mate! I will have to save some money for the amp though. I've not long bought myself a Maton MS500. Now im skint!

    I need some money!!

  • Nice man, I love the look of the Matons. I've been thinking about investing in the Eastwood reissue of the Ovation GP that Josh used to use, but I've got 3 bass projects I need to finish first. O, and this amp can pretty much nail the guitar tone for the first Queens album.

  • Yeah that would be a pretty sweet guitar. What are your bass projects? Im thinking of making my own 4x12 stack cabinet but i got some other stuff to do first.

  • I'm Replacing the pickups in my Geddy Lee Jazz (the bass I use here) with Lindy Fralins, Shielding the cavities with copper, and replacing all the electronics. I Have an 80s B.C. Rich NJ Warlock that is just a body and neck and needs a whole lot of serious work (all new hardware, electronics, pickups, re-finish, re-routing- re-inlay). And I recently got an 84 USA Charvel Explorer bass that needs to be set up, and may also need shielding, pickups, and electronics also.

  • The Eastwood GP is pretty good, jump on the Rekords Rekords forums for more Queens guitar shit....it's good stuff if you haven't been.

  • good job, I like the sound of your amp. Im using a Behringer BXL3000A and I used to have a Boss Overdrive that relaly helped. Me and my buddy jam so much of this stuff all the time.

  • Cool man. If you're ever looking to upgrade your amp, I highly recommend Gallien-Krueger. Thats what I started on, an what I still play. You can even buy their distortion pedal which has the same electronics as the amp I'm using in the video.

  • Hey, yes, I'm using my Gallien Kreuger Backline 1x10 combo and it has a built in distortion circuit, so I used that channel. You can't Really pull off a Queens song with a clean tone.

  • hi;)

    good job there..

Do u have any effects on your bass guitar??

I like the tone of it
