Primus sucks. My friend told me not to tune my bass ever when he first taught me, by now I know he's a retard because I'd never be able to play Nick Oliveri SFTD or Josh Homme Self Titled stuff.
Well I like the sound better when i slide, which is why I didn't use my pinky for most of it. Most of the song can be done within 2 frets, so stretching really isn't an issue.
Yeah man, they sound great. When I upgraded from my backline, I got their 700RB head. They're both very versatile amps, my only complaint is that the 700RB doesn't have distortion, but thats why they make the Diesel Dawg pedal, which is an upgraded version of the backline distortion I'm using here.
Nice man, I love the look of the Matons. I've been thinking about investing in the Eastwood reissue of the Ovation GP that Josh used to use, but I've got 3 bass projects I need to finish first. O, and this amp can pretty much nail the guitar tone for the first Queens album.
Yeah that would be a pretty sweet guitar. What are your bass projects? Im thinking of making my own 4x12 stack cabinet but i got some other stuff to do first.
I'm Replacing the pickups in my Geddy Lee Jazz (the bass I use here) with Lindy Fralins, Shielding the cavities with copper, and replacing all the electronics. I Have an 80s B.C. Rich NJ Warlock that is just a body and neck and needs a whole lot of serious work (all new hardware, electronics, pickups, re-finish, re-routing- re-inlay). And I recently got an 84 USA Charvel Explorer bass that needs to be set up, and may also need shielding, pickups, and electronics also.
good job, I like the sound of your amp. Im using a Behringer BXL3000A and I used to have a Boss Overdrive that relaly helped. Me and my buddy jam so much of this stuff all the time.
Cool man. If you're ever looking to upgrade your amp, I highly recommend Gallien-Krueger. Thats what I started on, an what I still play. You can even buy their distortion pedal which has the same electronics as the amp I'm using in the video.
Hey, yes, I'm using my Gallien Kreuger Backline 1x10 combo and it has a built in distortion circuit, so I used that channel. You can't Really pull off a Queens song with a clean tone.

The Eastwood GP is pretty good, jump on the Rekords Rekords forums for more Queens guitar shit....it's good stuff if you haven't been.
