  • I'm trying to decide between this camera and the Gopro. I might use the gopro for snorkeling but I like the fuijifilm for it's more like a camera and my brother told me that without action movies the gopros camera is squeaky. I'd like to know your opinion. :)

  • @Live4Dance14 There are a multitude of waterproof cameras now available. The GoPro2 is the latest GoPro HERO 2. The price has dropped considerably for the GoPro and the GoPro 2 now has an external microphone input.... BUT, without the external microphone, sound is always a bit of a problem with the GoPro as it is meant to be used INSIDE its waterproof housing. It requires setting the right settings on the program too. You may prefer the Fuji or similar waterproof camera.

  • @Live4Dance14 The GoPro 2 now has a lot more megapixels and will likely give a higher quality image, particularly snorkeling, but is a little trickier to use. Personally, I'd get the GoPro for the higher quality of image.

  • Thanks for taking the time - Microcenter has got it on sale for 99 bucks US - going to pick it up as a beach camera.....

  • Was it the PENTAX Optio W90 you weren't happy with?

Do you think the Fuji Finepix XP10 is a better choice ?

    Thanks for your time

  • @LowCostCncRetrofits I find the Pentax W90 a bit "pink" coloured in bright light but it is a very good little camera for overcast and shade situations. I like the feel of the W90 and that is the camera I carry around in my pocket (I never go anywhere without a camera). It's a hard choice to make and a bunch of new cameras have come out in the past year. You may also want to check out the new Canon and Olympus all weather cameras. I think the Pentax was rushed to market.

  • @LowCostCncRetrofits Try to handle a variety of cameras in a store. The new cameras all seem to be getting better and better. My purpose in posting this video was simply to show anyone interested what the images look like in bright light and around water. I'm hoping people will make their own judgment based upon the image quality they see. I used to be a professional photographer so my standards are pretty high and low priced cameras are always a compromise. The W90 is good value for price.

  • he sounds like a perv...wen the girl in the purple slides down he says there we go i think i got tht a picture of her ass...ctfu n then he sayed lets get wet...ctf also im holding my crotch in my had too so i got my hands full..got my crotch with my left hand n my holding camera with left arm too

  • @perrtycat You are positively weird. By the way, I'm gay, gay, gay. I'm a well known Vancouver fag, and well known by the lifeguards on the beach too because I do video there a lot. Where do you get your sick ideas? Kinda says a lot about you methinks.

  • @perrtycat I'm holding my CROCS... they're a kind of rubber shoe. What planet do you live on?

  • @butchpatrol stfu u gay guy...u old gay perv n i live in philly bitch ...go get fucked in the butt

  • @perrtycat Grow up asshole.

  • Hey folks, because I have several channels I have to use a variety of e-mails and two of my e-mail accounts are at yahoo. I don't always get forwarded mail, so sometimes I'm not up to speed when a comment is posted here... but I try. The battery is good enough to shoot more than 10 minutes straight and I have an 8 gig memory card which is good for at least 40 minutes of video.

  • SWEET!!!! awsome. I might get it soon. How long does it take to charge?

  • @bellaBEmeYEAH Not too long, I seem to recall it can be several hours for an empty battery... I have 5 cameras so I tend to make sure I've charged up in advance of a shoot and don't pay a lot of attention. And I have a spare battery for my NEX5 which can burn up juice pretty fast. If you shoot a lot of HD film it's worth getting an 8 GIG memory card as memory will run out before the battery.

  • @bellaBEmeYEAH Tried to find my instruction book for the camera, but it's hiding... I just moved a month ago and things are still a bit un-organized. I recall empty batteries can take a while no matter the make. Also check out Olympus all weather/waterproof cameras which I've heard are pretty good too. I consider the FinePix to be my cheapo camera (after giving away my other older camera) and I carry in my pocket all the time as my "just in case" camera (in case I run across a photo opp.

  • it seems very noisy when i use mine

  • @BigHeadsEnt I find most of these small point and shoot cameras are very prone to any kind of wind noise.

  • the audio's not as bad as people have said it is!! Thanks for the review

  • Im from vancouver aswell, I just bought this and I think the video mode is

Amazing but taking pictures it is very picky

  • Thks for sharing. Camera test is excellent!

  • does this cameran have a long lasting battery life?

  • @Starrystar5533 I haven't yet run out of juice but haven't exceeded an hour of video yet. I think if you were going camping, or on an extended trip without a chance to recharge it might be a good idea to have a spare battery. You have to charge the battery in an external charger... i.e. you have to remove the battery to charge it.

  • @Starrystar5533 I haven't used this camera much yet but shot some stuff today (14 Aug.) that I will post shortly... bright light at a pool. It's very hard (for me... I'm old and need glasses) tto see the viewfinder in very bright sunlight so I just aim in the general direction.

  • @butchpatrol this is a real nice cam and its only 180 my type of price i like the quality of the video. does it take good videos like this all the time? or it can be a burry in low light? and how's the pictures?

  • Audio sounds great on this video. I bought anXP10 and the audio was terrible. I emailed a demo video to Fujifilm and they said that it was defective. I sent it back to Fujifilm and it is in the shop for repair now. I hope that they send it back to me all fixed up. It is very small and light so I prefer it over some of the other brand waterproof cameras that are heavier.

  • @celerywoof I don't use the Fuji as much as some of my other cameras but it's really nice and small and easily fits in my pocket so it's a good camera to just always have around. It's not perfect but a great little camera for the money.

  • Looks good. Were there any problems you found with the camera? I have heard reviews about how bad the audio is.

  • @DisneyDisneyS687 I thought the audio was pretty good on this first test. Will be trying it out some more over the weekend. The mics are on the top of the camera. Keep in mind what I think I said before... there are going to be quite a few of these new little waterproof cameras coming out in the next short while so look at all of them. I've heard the Olympus is OK too.
