i visualize a different creepyspecies in each of the different themes played here - any of which could be expanded to show the entire life cycle of the critter. Which instrument(s) do you represent the overarching squid? i am thinking woodwinds, as they visually look more like the monster....
Indeed, the Vampire Squid from hell, an extraordinary animal. This is probably a good aural depiction of what goes on down there: Deep abysms, residual echo, rusty ships, squirmy little animals etc.
@COMPOSER32 "Who said that Neuwirth & co. are "sacri sancti", i.e. whatever they compose &/or write, they must be hailed?" Exactly, who said that? WHO SAID THAT?
Not that vampires are a childish theme, they're an integral part of myth and folklore and have been immortalized in great literature (see Goethe's "Bride of Corinth") and on screen (Polanski's Dance of the Vampires).
What's childish about vampires, fool?
Anyway, this piece is not about vampires. Look up "Vampyrotheutis Infernalis".
You assume I follow blindly. I don't, I enjoy some of her pieces, others not so much. Is it inconceivable to you that someone might actually enjoy this piece?
P.S.: You haven't looked up Vampyrotheutis. It's a Vampire *SQUID*
