(Singing) ''Alice in Wonderland How do get to Wonderland? Over the hill Or underland? Or just behind the tree? Alice in Wonderland Where is the path to Wonderland? Over the hill? Or here or there? I wonder where''
I love this movie and the ending has a good message, it reminds me a lot of The Wizard Of Oz.Im dissapointed Disney never made a sequel to this, not a cheapy direct to DVD sequel but an actual good sequel cause Cinderella III a twist in time was good. Kathryn Beauymont can put on a little girl voice and play Alice, or make avoice cameo.
@NekoNarcotic Actually he wasn't. He was a math professor at a university. This was just a compilation of made up stories he told to his friends three daughters (one of them was named Alice!) Anyways, acid wasn't even around in 1860 HaHa.
the only thing I don't like about this movie is that Alice is supose to be 7, but she looks older and talks more mature than most 7 year olds...unless all 7 year olds were like that back then. Other than that I love it.
Anyone else notice that in every disney flick from the early 20th century, there is always an over exaggeration of liquid splashes? The tea and paint are good examples of what I speak.
Holy crap, I never realized how old this movie is or how strong Alice's accent is. And I knew the voices sounded familiar — Alice is also Wendy from Peter Pan and Alice's sister is also Wendy's mother from the same. XD Funny how they use English voice actors in Peter Pan, and Alice in Wonderland, although it is justified because they're both set in England.
This movie used to piss me off so much when I was a kid, because everyone was so mean to Alice and/or never listened to her and/or was stupid. All the characters pissed me off. Now that I'm an adult and kid's movies don't seem real to me, I'm able to appreciate the humour in it. I did always appreciate the surrealism though, which is why I kept watching it even though it infuriated me.
i dont understand why people come to watch this if they don't like? well, it's crazy isn't it? it's like you said you hated pain but you kept cutting your wrist!
What's weird is that I hated this movie as a child but after watching it for the third time I really wish nothing made sense in my life and it was ridiculous fun... Maybe I would laugh more.
@dappletailheart to be fair the new version is more like a sequel to this, since this is her first trip to Underland and the Tim Burton version is her return.
@StephanieB1010 But it is the same actress. When she dubbed Alice she was 13 years old, and after that she dubbed Wendy. Her name is Catherine Beumond.
Great movie, cute little blonde ALice but it is a dream. She is dreaming of another life, another enchanted world with talking rabbits, singing flowers...but i love it even if it is full of symbols now that i am grown up.The doors are the doors of the mind, the unconscious and it seems to be a bit psychanalystic. The rabbit is always in a hurry like many people today who always run,and the weird men at the tea table are just like many people today.A mad tale even if good.
something that always weirded me out was a lot of the characters are old: Tweedle Dee and Dum are both balding, as is the Hatter. The Queen isn't exactly a spring chicken and the White Rabbit is obviously older. That makes this movie even more off-putting because its adults acting very childish, I guess. Especially if you read illustrated versions of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, all of the people she meets are adults.
My childhood dreams have come back to me !!! :D its so wow wierd how much more sense the film makes and different it seems when your older, i tripping out in the woods scene :) thank you uploader!!
i think the Cheshire cat voice actor is also the same guy who played the serpent in the jungle book, and the mouse in the aristocats. or at least thats what it sounds like to me. does anyone know for sure?
@ILoveFollowill I thought he was also Winnie the Pooh but I wasn't sure. But that 'hoo hoo hoo' laugh of his seems to be the same as Pooh and as the snake from the Jungle Book.
